GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2570: Fool The Mirror.

Chapter 2570: Fool The Mirror.

The god of justice roared in glee and rushed at his enemies. The four black blades in his hands gleamed with power and caused the air to hum in their wake.

Legion saw this and said, “There is no way that these people will be able to defeat the god of justice.”

They said this, but they were still focused on the Mirror of the World.

They wanted to take the Mirror of the World into the Mindscape. But they couldn’t do that without gaining control of the Mirror of the World first. So they have been trying to gain control of it ever since it appeared.

Just like the god of justice thinks, the authority of a pathway is indeed difficult to gain control of. But they have the means to gain control of the Mirror of the World because they have the memories of the god of illusion.

The biggest problem standing in the way of gaining control of the Mirror of the World is that it is intangible. It is like smoke. They can see it, but they can’t grab hold of it.

Nothing can interact with the Mirror of the World. So even though it is trying to escape like the authority of the pathway of undying, gaining control of it is a pipe dream.

The Mind Palace was like this, too, so Legion is somewhat experienced with this kind of problem. Combined with the memories of the god of illusion, they knew exactly what to do to solve this problem.

The first step the god of illusion took in gaining control of the Mirror of the World was to convert the authority of the pathway from an intangible state into a tangible thing that could be touched and interacted with.

In order to achieve this, the god of illusion used the Permanent Illusion divine ability on the Mirror of the World. This divine ability is a rank 9 divine ability, so only the angels and godlings of the pathway of illusion possess it.

Legion doesn’t possess the rank 9 Permanent Illusion divine ability, but they have a way to get it. Their solution to this problem is to enslave an angel of illusion or a godling of illusion.

After going through the memories of the god of illusion, they know where every angel in the pathway is located. They also know that there are no godlings in the pathway.

There are many subordinate gods in the pathway of illusion. But all of these subordinate gods rely on the god of illusion to remain alive. Since the god of illusion is now dead, all of them must have followed in his footsteps.

As for godlings, the god of illusion didn’t allow them to exist. This leaves angels of the pathway of illusion as their only source of the Permanent Illusion divine ability.

They quickly narrowed down their options and settled on a location to find the target. Then their true body created a second virtual body, which they sent to enslave the target.

The virtual body found the angel of illusion and enslaved her using the Gestalt Mind’s divine ability. Then the second virtual body carried the angel of illusion and brought her to the first virtual body.

The distance between where the angel was and where the god of illusion had just died wasn’t far. The second virtual body was also very fast, so they were able to quickly bring the angel to the Mirror of the World.

While this was going on, the god of nobles, the god of death, and the god of disaster were fighting the god of illusion. The god of justice hadn’t fused with the pathway of knights yet, so he was losing the fight.

Legion occasionally attacked the god of justice, but most of their focus was on the Mirror of the world. They were preparing the second and final step needed to gain control of the Mirror of the World. This step is critical, so they are focused on it.

When the second virtual body came over with the angel of illusion, they had to kick off their plans. The angel of illusion used the Permanent Illusion divine ability on the Mirror of the World.

As soon as the Mirror became tangible, the first virtual body used the Sensory Hijack divine ability on the Mirror of the World. This caused the surface of the Mirror to be shrouded by mist.

The Permanent Illusion divine ability made it possible for them to touch the Mirror of the World. But this didn’t mean that they had gained control of it. So even though they could grab the Mirror of the World, they still can’t take it to the Mindscape.

In order to solve the problem, they must do something to fool the Mirror of the World. This is the final step in gaining control of the Mirror of the World, and it must be done by them.

Someone else can use the Permanent Illusion divine ability to temporarily convert the Mirror of the World into a tangible object, but only they can fool the Mirror in order to gain control of it if they want to be able to take it to the Mindscape.

In order to fool the Mirror of the World, one must do something that affects the perception of the Mirror of the World. The Mirror of the World is supposed to be able to see everything in the world, so as long as someone can block the perception of the Mirror or make changes to the world that the Mirror can’t sense, or make the Mirror see something that does exist, one would be able to fool it.

There are many ways to fool the Mirror of the World. But for many years, many people failed to fulfill this requirement. It wasn’t until the god of illusion came around with an innate ability that allowed him to pretend to be dead that he was able to fool the Mirror of the World.
