Chapter 2550: Two Godling Dinner.

The increase to the speed of fusion after becoming a god means that what should take them a year to fuse completely only requires 1 and a half weeks from start to finish.

This is an unprecedented speed that many gods won’t believe if they are told. This is because gods have to battle the resistance of authorities, no matter how powerful they are.

In fact, a god will face stronger resistance in fusing with a second because the first authority that the god fused with will reject the second authority.

Then the first and second authorities will reject the third authority even more. So the stronger a god becomes, the slower their speed of fusion with authorities becomes.

This is especially so when a god completely fuses with a pathway before they begin to fuse with a second authority. The resistance they will face will be so much that the god might have to spend all of their time for a thousand years fusing with the second authority.

The god of guardians for sure won’t believe that not only is the time they need to fuse with an authority as short as one year, but that time is getting shorter the stronger they become.

If other gods knew about this abnormality in Legion, they would surely band together to eliminate Legion. This is one of the reasons why Legion is only using their virtual body to roam the world.

In the Mindscape, Legion stayed cooped up while they busied themselves with mastering their ultimate ability and fusing with authorities. But in the physical world, their virtual body had gone on a hunt.

This virtual body was vast and large. It should have drawn a lot of attention, but no one noticed it passing by because of the Sensory Hijack divine ability.

The Sensory Hijack divine ability can manipulate what people see and sense. Thanks to it, no one knew that the god of telepathy was on the move, and no one suspected that he was on a hunt.

Knowledgeable people would have surely suspected that the god of telepathy was on a hunt once they knew that he was moving around, because this is what new gods always do. New gods do this in order to rapidly increase their strength.

Even old gods like to hunt or kill other divine people, either for power or pleasure. The latter becomes rampant when the old god begins to lose their mind.

The first targets of the virtual body are godlings. In particular, the virtual body went after the god of steam and the god of electricity.

The god of electricity is Tesla. He is the one Legion worked with in order to earn their first batch of money. As for the god of steam, he was the one who facilitated the deal between Tesla and Legion.

The god of steam once tried to make Legion join the pathway of telepathy so that he could possess Legion’s body. Legion refused the offer back then. It seems their decision to reject the offer of becoming the son of the god of steam was a good choice.

They have a lot of history with these two godlings. But this is not going to stop them from doing what they must do in order to grow stronger.

Legion-10 could only say, “How time flies. To think that we used to look up to these two.”

Legion-5 snickered and said, “Now we’re looking for them to eat them.”

They all chuckled when they heard this. They did this while they wished they could find the two godlings as soon as possible.

These two are godlings vying for control of the pathway. Since they are competing with a true god, they were cautious enough to keep themselves hidden.

The two godlings are also very good at hiding themselves because they have the Puppet divine ability. This is a divine ability that helps machinist create puppets that they can control with their minds from large distances.

The two godlings made use of the puppets to meet with others and conduct their businesses or run their churches. They then used gates to transport the puppets all around the world. This ensured that they didn’t have to meet anyone with their true body, and no one knew their place or hiding.

Unfortunately for them, very few people can hide from the god of telepathy. The fact that the minds of the two godlings are exposed is enough for the god of telepathy to find them.

Legion found one of the puppets of the two godlings. This was easy to do because the puppets were not hidden.

Legion found the puppet of Tesla, the god of electricity, in his large factory, where he produced transformers. The puppet of the god of steam was found in the headquarters of his church.

After finding these puppets, Legion used the Mind Plague divine ability on the puppets. Once a secure connection was established between the puppets and the minds of the two godlings, Legion used the Mind Domination divine ability to descend on their minds.

A copy of their mind entered the mind of the puppet and traced the mental connection between the puppet to the owner of the puppet. Then the copy of their minds jumped from the mind of the puppet into the mind of the owner.

From there, everything became easy. Legion used the Mind Domination divine ability to read their minds and their memories. So Legion was able to learn where they were hiding their true bodies.

After getting the information they wanted, they entered the Mindscape with their virtual body and then descended onto the place where the true bodies of the godlings were. They were able to do this because they had the memories of the godlings and knew exactly where to go in the Mindscape without taking a detour.

By the time they got there, the godlings had been neutralized. Their minds had been scraped clean of their memories by the Mind Plague divine ability. All that was left was an empty shell.
