Chapter 2540: Seed Of Dreams.

Not only are there no angels of dreaming, but there are also no legendary dreamers in the pathway of dreams. This is because the god of dreams has been meticulous about killing any dreamer who advances to rank 7.

The god of dreams did this because he was insecure about his status as the god of the pathway and didn’t want a competitor to steal his position. This is something that is always possible as long as a god hasn’t completely fused with the pathway and retracted all the power of the pathway into themselves.

The only reason why there was an angel of dreaming that eventually became a subordinate god of dreaming was that the god of dreams wanted her to become his subordinate god, so he didn’t kill her when she became a legendary dreamer.

Legion-12 could say, “It doesn’t matter that there is no angel of dreaming anyway. After all, we already have three other authorities lined up for fusion. We won’t be able to use the Dream Body to germinate the Seed of Dreams anytime soon.”

In fact, it is better that they are trying to take control of the Seed of Dreams with a virtual copy now, since it means that they will be able to take control of it while simultaneously fusing with the three authorities within them, instead of having to wait until they’ve fused with the three authorities before they can use the Dream Body method.

They still won’t be able to become the god of the pathway of dreams with the virtual copy. But once the virtual copy fuses with the Seed of Dreams, they will be able to gain temporary control of it and take it away.

Besides, the fusion of the virtual copy with the Seed of Dreams will make it much easier for them to fuse with the Seed of Dreams when they are finally ready to fuse with it.

While this was going on, Legion-12 created another virtual copy. He sent this virtual copy into the dream realm to look for the soul of the god of dreams that escaped.

Legion doesn’t need anything from the god of dreams anymore. But they would like to uproot all of their problems completely. And if they could get back the third soul, they might be able to restore the status of the god of dreams as a godclad again.

Actually, they don’t need the god of dreams for anything. He will lose all his usefulness once the virtual copy fuses with the Seed of Dreams. Once they take the Seed of Dreams away, they will be able to eat the god of dreams as soon as they become a god.

So once they take the Seed of Dreams away, there is very little that can be done to stop them. But they still want to eliminate the god of dreams because he knows too much about them.

However, finding the escaped soul was more difficult than it seemed. This was mainly because they didn’t know where it escaped to.

They knew that the soul had entered a dream island beside them. They knew this because they could read his mind while he was doing it. But they didn’t know which dream island he escaped to because he picked a random direction to escape into.

They didn’t give up on him, though. And it was a good thing that they were looking for him because the god of dreams was already creating trouble for them, even though he barely escaped with his life.

The escaped soul of the god of dreams has a divine fragment with no divine body. So his situation is similar to that of the half god of killing.

His current level of power is, at best, just slightly above the level of an angel, despite having a spiritual power that is far above the limit of the sequence. This is because he lacks divine power.

What he needs to recover his power to an acceptable state is to possess a complete angel of dreaming and use the body of the angel to reforge his divine body. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t have any angels in his pathway to possess.

He doesn’t even have a legend to possess. The only thing he has at his disposal is his innate talent, which is Lucid Dreaming, and its active counterpart called Dream Manipulation.

His innate talent and the active component that he gained through the divine fragment are very weak and have weak offensive potential. But they were instrumental in how he was able to become the god of the pathway and escape Legion.

Dream Manipulation was also able to help him gain a new body quickly. He entered a dream and began changing it in ways that influenced his dreamer.

At night, whenever his host slept, he would drop hints of whatever he wanted into their dream. When the host woke up, they would do some of the things that he had asked them to do in the dream.

He couldn’t control the host directly and in real-time. But he was able to direct them to do the things he wanted, such as leave the area so that Legion wouldn’t be able to find him and release the news about the death of the god of dreams to someone in possession of the authority of the pathway of telepathy.

He actually wanted to sell the news and information about Legion to the god of illusion in exchange for help recovering his divine body. Even some help in establishing a church or a cult would do.

Any source of faith will be good enough for him and enough to help him survive. But he didn’t dare contact the god of illusion in his current state, so the best that he could do was release the news anonymously.

It is unlikely that he will be able to gain anything by doing this. In fact, it is nearly impossible that he will ever be able to become a god again. But that doesn’t mean he should give up.
