Chapter 2531: Dream Domain.

So anyone who can borrow the ultimate ability has to give up their freedom and independence. In this lady’s case, she has given up everything to be able to display this power.

The power she displayed was the Dream Domain. It was the ultimate ability of the pathway of dreams.

The effect of this ultimate ability is to allow part of the dream realm to descend to the physical world and take control of that part of the physical world to form a boundary where other divine abilities that aren’t mental in nature will be suppressed.

The god of dreams had chosen to use this ability because it had a wide range of effects. Since he couldn’t see Legion, it was best to use something that acts like a net and can capture Legion in a wide area.

His decision turned out to be correct. Once the ultimate ability was used, the dream realm descended, and the entire area turned a misty white.

This also placed the whole area under the jurisdiction of the god of dreams and allowed his body to descend safely into the physical dimension.

Ever since he became a god and realized his weakness, he has rarely left the dream realm. He has always stayed in the dream for fear of being found by other gods and killed.

His weakness and fear are why he didn’t want anyone to know that he was going after the holder of the Mind Palace. It is also why he quickly gave the demigod killer up after he sensed that there was a divine being supporting her.

He has always been cautious with everything he does. Even now, he only descended after setting up the Dream Domain ultimate ability. With this ultimate ability working in the physical dimension, he would be able to easily slip away back to the dream realm in case of danger.

After he descended, he still couldn’t see Legion. But everywhere had come under his control, so he could sense a void in the area that he couldn’t sense. That lack of perception in that small area helped him to determine that Legion was there.

Normally, the Invisibility Shield divine ability would prevent anyone from noticing Legion. But even though the god of dreams couldn’t see them, after he became aware of their existence, the Invisibility Shield divine ability couldn’t make him ignore them.

His smile blossomed as he said, “Got you.”

He was truly happy. Now that he has sealed the area, Legion won’t be able to escape. This means that he will soon be able to get the Mind Palace.

He said to Legion, “How about you consider giving up? I can give you everything you’ve ever wanted in your dreams. You won’t need to fight and struggle ever again. All you have to do is surrender to me.”

“Trust me, you can’t escape. I have you trapped here in body and soul. But that is a good thing. It means that your worries are almost over. I will take good care of you. You will want for nothing when I get you.”

As he said this, he moved closer to Legion. It was more like he was rushing towards Legion. He was saying sweet words, but his actions were anything but gentle.

In fact, the words he was saying were not being said for no reason. He was actually using a divine ability called Lullaby. It is a divine ability that works through words and sounds, so as long as anyone can hear him, the ability will take effect on them, even if they have barriers defending them.

The Aegis Shield divine ability can still block out most of the harmful power of the divine ability. But since it can’t block out sound completely, it can’t block out the power of this divine ability completely.

The Lullaby divine ability lulls the target into a false sense of safety. It causes the target to relax and stop resisting.

The god of dreams used it to great effect on the first angel of telepathy. This is one of the reasons it was so easy to subdue him. Now he is using it on Legion.

It is clear that the god of dreams came prepared. He has used two attack methods that Legion has no way to deal with. These two divine abilities also work well together.

The Dream Domain ultimate ability suppresses every divine ability that it not mental in nature, but it enhances the power of all dream based divine abilities. This gives him dual advantage over Legion.

He also came with helpers to ensure that nothing would go wrong with this hunting trip. The subordinate god of dreams stayed with him in the Dream Domain while the seer stayed outside of it to keep watch for intruders or other helpers.

Everything was within his grasp. So, as he stated at where Legion-12 should be, even though he still couldn’t see him, he was already seeing all the good things that he would gain. Not only would he gain the Mind Palace, but he would also gain a divine body to consume and raise the power of his divine body.

All in all, Legion-12 appears to be surrounded. They were also trapped because the Mindscape became inaccessible to them. But Legion-12 didn’t panic.

He looked around and said, “Not bad. Not bad at all.”

As he said this, he shifted his divine form from the pathway of telepathy to the pathway of slavery. This was so that he could borrow other divine abilities through the pathway of slavery.

His Cognitive Adaptation divine ability was active and had been pushed to the limit. The Environmental Adaptation divine ability was also working at its best. But it was the Identify Information divine ability that took up most of their attention.

They had directed this divine ability at the god of dreams. What the Identify Information displayed was a garbled mess. Apparently, something was scrambling the effect of the divine ability on the god of dreams. It could also be that they couldn’t understand what the divine ability was seeing.
