Chapter 2511: First Divine Fragment.

The ritual to request the divine fragment from the Ocean of Blood is a simple ritual and not as valuable as the information of the feat needed to impress it. So they didn’t need to provide highly valuable information to earn it from the white tower.

The information they gave away was that the god of dreams was pursuing the authority of the pathway of telepathy. This information was more valuable than the ritual that they asked for, so they were able to gain more information with it.

The angel of knowledge that attended to them asked them to request something else that they wanted to know. Legion asked to know what the weakness of the gods was.

The angel of knowledge smiled at them and said, “It seems you don’t know for sure if your guess was right or not.”

She wasn’t the one who attended to them before, but she has access to the collective knowledge of the pathway of knowledge, so she knows exactly what transpired the last time that Legion(4 was at the tower of knowledge.

She is now teasing them because Legion-4 had previously guessed the weakness of the gods. But Legion-4 was in a hurry and in no mood to waste time.

So he said, “Will you tell me or not?”

She said, “I will tell you. But what is the rush?”

Legion-4 didn’t reply. He only glared at her and thought to himself, “Continue to remain cocky while you can. When I have the power to kill your god, I want to see how you can be cocky then.”

When the angel of knowledge saw that he was no fun, she yawned and said, “So boring. I expected more fun from you since you were such a treat for the last angel of knowledge.”

“Anyway, you were right. The weakness of gods is faith. Specifically, it is their believers.”

“You should take note that not every god has this weakness because not every god relies on faith. And even for the gods who rely on faith, you must hit this weakness hard and fast for it to be effective.”

Legion-4 frowned and asked, “Why do gods need faith while others don’t use it?”

She shrugged and said, “How am I supposed to know?”

But that doesn’t mean that she will behave like the previous angel of knowledge and try to lure Arthur into staying.

She is her own person, not a copy of the previous angel of knowledge. She thinks for herself, and her level of intelligence is different from the previous angel of knowledge. Most importantly, she is a new angel of knowledge.

All of these reasons are why she isn’t in a hurry to gain important information and ascend. She is still savoring her newfound power and still has a lot of lifespan left before she becomes anxious to become a godling.

But Legion, despite being far younger than her, is already rushing towards becoming a godling. Legion-1 used the ritual they just gained as soon as they gained it.

In fact, Legion-1 had used it before Legion-4 left the white tower. It was after confirming that the ritual was correct and it worked that Legion-4 felt comfortable with leaving the white tower.

The large ball of worms soon morphed into the figure of a young man. That young man began to glow as he began to evolve. Their spiritual energy began to boil and condense as it began to compress itself.

There was no problem during their advancement because there should be no problem. No one ever fails to advance to the rank of godling as long as they have met the requirements to advance. After all, it is their own innate talent that is undergoing an upgrade, not an external divine flesh being pushed into their existence.

They have 100% mastery of the divine abilities of the pathway of killing and also have a compatible innate talent. So the outcome can only be that they advance, and their innate talent becomes strong enough to help them resist the influence of their divine abilities better.

This is why it is often said that one should become a godling before they become a god.
