GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2441: Offer Of Compensation.

Chapter 2441: Offer Of Compensation.

If their pathway of killing was still at the epic level, they would be wary of fighting nobles because nobles are cheaters with a domain that mimic the abilities of various pathways.

But their pathway of killing has advanced to the demigod level, so it has its own divine form and can also resist the spiritual pressure of other pathways. So if anything, they are looking forward to the fight.

So after confirming that there were no tricks with the Predict divine ability, they didn’t hesitate to appear in the physical dimension. As they did this, they began to change their divine beast form.

They appeared in the world right above where the demigod telepath had appeared. They discovered that two enemies were waiting for them there.

The two enemies were the one they recognized from the demigod telepath’s thoughts and a second unknown person.

They could sense from the demigod telepath’s thoughts that she too didn’t know that there would be a second person at all, so this wasn’t part of her plan.

She can’t see now or sense the environment since her body has been shackled, so she doesn’t even know that there is a second person present to save her. If she knew that two demigods had come to help her, she would be very happy.

Legion had never seen this second person before, but they could tell which pathway they belonged to instantly because they have the same pathway and even possess the authority of the pathway.

This second demigod belonged to the pathway of the undying. So he will be very difficult to kill. But aside from that, there wasn’t much to worry about with an undying godclad because they were not threatening.

These two people stood in the air side by side with an air of confidence. They were surprised because Legion looked like a killer, not the telepath or undying godclad that the telepath told them that he would be.

This made the noble curse out, “Of course she lied. This is why telepaths shouldn’t be trusted.”

Then he sighed and said, “Fortunately, I made plans for something like this.”

The presence of the undying demigod beside him gave him confidence. So he recovered his composure and spoke to Legion with a tired sigh, “Please. I don’t want to fight. Let’s put an end to this.”

“I’m sure that she deserved what you did to her. So I will compensate you for letting her go.”

“Just take the deal, and let’s all return to our good lives. If you are still intent on getting her after our deal is done, you can continue to hunt her. But for now, let there be peace.”

He spoke as if he was sure that Legion would take the deal. He clearly didn’t want to fight and risk his life for the demigod telepath, so this was supposed to be a negotiation to make Legion give up.

But he spoke as if he was in a hurry and as if he was doing Legion a favor. This was a big mistake on his part. However, it wasn’t the worst mistake that he had made.

The worst mistake that he made was to underestimate Legion and not bother to liberate his divine beast form immediately. This mistake, his underestimating of Legion, and his decision to negotiate all came back to bite him hard.

Legion were already transforming into the divine beast form of their pathway of killing before they exited the Mindscape. So what came out of the Mindscape was that of a humanoid being made entirely of blood.

When the man was talking, Legion was stacking all of the divine abilities of the pathway of killing for a single attack. They produced a blood limb and coated it with Sever, Bleed, Stun, and Death Marks divine abilities.

Once the attack was formed, they struck with all of their might. Their target was the noble.

Even before they hit him, they also used Life Siphon on both him and the undying godclad. It was only now that the noble took him seriously.

He said with a grave voice as he stepped back, “Don’t do this. It will lead to nowhere and will only cause me to reduce your compensation.”

He was a little bit afraid because he feared the reputation of killers. Even so, he had confidence in his safety.

After all, he had already enhanced the durability of his body to that of a giant, put on layers of phantoms of his divine form around his enhanced body, and then put on the protection of his domain to make him invulnerable to attacks.

He believed that this would be enough to block the attack. But he was very wrong.

The attack cut through all of his shields, tore through his body, and eviscerated him. The attack didn’t kill him, but it made him lose the bulk of his torso.

The flesh from his neck to his waist had been turned into mincemeat and absorbed by the blood limb to grow stronger. He was still alive, but he couldn’t move because he had been stunned by the attack.

Even if he could still move, there was very little he could do to recover from that attack. After all, there was the effect of the Bleed divine ability on his wounds that was making his wounds pump out his life energy and blood with all of their might.

There was shock in his eyes as he fell to the ground. He couldn’t believe that a single attack had turned him into a half-dead man.

He asked himself, “Are killers so powerful?”

The short answer is yes. The long answer is that killers are very powerful, but Legion is more powerful than normal because of the enhancement of the Power of Wealth divine ability.

Normally, killers are so powerful that they can at least cripple an enemy of the same rank as them with one attack if they go all out with that single attack. This is because they have the highest number of divine abilities that can work together to create a single powerful attack.
