GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2414: Black Bird.

Chapter 2414: Black Bird.

The divine flesh they needed to advance to rank 7 of the pathway of telepathy was in the divine artifact that they stole from the noble of Reinfield City. All they needed to do was destroy the divine artifact to release the divine flesh from it.

The divine flesh was white and foamy. It looked like a mass of thick mist from afar and felt like soft, dry foam to the touch.

It was absorbed into their body as soon as they touched it. This began the painful process of advancing to the legendary rank of telepathy. Follow current ᴏᴠʟs on N0velFire.et

The process of assimilating the divine flesh went well. It just took too long and created too much commotion.

After they became legendary telepaths, the world in their perspective changed. They became aware of another dimension of reality bordering the physical dimension.

This new dimension was the Mindscape. It was layered on top of reality like a translucent sheet of paper on top of a book.

With a thought, they transformed into their liberated divine form. Their body expanded greatly. As it did, they grew two large wings on their backs, and black feathers grew all over their bodies.

They turned into a large bird-like creature with black feathers, two wings, one pair of tiny clawed and scaled arms on their chest, two large clawed legs, and one eye on their head.

They shrieked, which caused the very air to vibrate with power and create shockwaves. These shockwaves were entirely mental, and anyone who heard it would have their minds attacked by it. So their shrieking was actually them activating the Psychic Howl divine ability.

They had turned into a psychic shrieker. The first main difference between them and a Psychic Shrieker is that the color of their feathers is black, not red.

The second main difference is that they can use the Psychic Howl divine ability without the need to sacrifice their minds to create it. So the Psychic Howl divine ability is a normal means of attack for them, not a suicidal attack meant to be used only when they are desperate.

The third and perhaps the most important difference between them and a psychic shrieker is their ability to interact with the Mindscape with their bodies.

They took this ability to its limit when they leaped and disappeared into the Mindscape. The world became grey and colorless to them. This was because their entire body had left the physical dimension and entered the Mindscape.

The experience was novel for them. They found it very exciting because they could do many things that they couldn’t do before.

The first thing that interested them was the fact that they could still see the physical dimension and the things in it, but the people in the physical dimension couldn’t see them.

So they appear to have disappeared or become invisible in the physical dimension, while in reality, they are still present.

In this state, they can’t interact with the physical dimension. But they will be able to interact with the physical dimension if they jump into it from the Mindscape.

They didn’t try to return to the physical dimension just yet. Instead of doing something so boring, they decided to do the second thing that interested them. They decided to use the omnipresent state of the Mindscape to go anywhere.

The first place they wanted to visit is the headquarters of the Mind Hunters. So they thought of the location of the headquarters and flapped their large wings.

There is no concept of distance in the Mindscape. As long as they know where they are going, they can reach it in a single step. Or in this case, they can reach their destination in a single flap of their wings.

When they reached their destination, they saw that it was a large grey cube. The cube was a giant structure the size of a city built for giants. Beside it, they looked like an ant despite being as tall as a three-story building.

They could see through the cube, so they could tell that the headquarters of the Mind Hunters is in the cube. Unfortunately, they couldn’t enter the cube with their bodies.

They could move closer to the giant cube, but entering it was impossible no matter how much they thought about it. Apparently, the only way to enter it was through their minds, and their minds had to have a key.

The key they needed was the grey loop of virtual flesh that was said to belong to the flesh of the god of telepaths.

They can confirm now that the grey flesh has something to do with the god of the pathway of telepaths because they realized that this large cube is the authority of the pathway of telepaths.

The more they thought about it, the more astounded and confused they became.

Legion-2 said, “No way, this is the authority of the pathway. It is just lying around. Why has no one been able to take it?”

Legion-5 suggested, “Maybe it is because it is too big to take.”

The large cube made them feel as if they were standing in front of a large table full of food. They are wary about the appearance of something that feels free to take, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t try to take it.

However, they didn’t try to take it immediately. The first thing they did was to enter the Mindscape to ask the other legends why they haven’t taken the authority of the pathway.

Gerald had told them that the virtual flesh could be used to find the authority of the pathway. He didn’t know that the headquarters of the Mind Hunters was in the authority of the pathway, but they don’t believe that the legendary telepaths don’t know about it.

They were able to find the authority of the pathway as soon as they became legendary telepaths. This was mostly because they had had contact with the Mindscape before and knew about the Mind Hunters.
