GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2413: Blood Manipulation.

Chapter 2413: Blood Manipulation.

The black spiked chains bound her up and even branded themselves onto her body like tattoos. But unlike normal tattoos, these ones could grow and were also hell-bent on branding themselves on her souls.

With her incapacitated, Legion retrieved the blood spikes and transformed them back into a liquid. The liquid returned to their bodies to be used to either heal themselves or be used as a weapon.

This series of actions was made possible by combining their new rank 7 divine ability of the pathway of killing called Blood Manipulation and the special state of their divine beast form.

Alone, the Blood Manipulation divine ability allows them to manipulate their blood and the blood of the people. If they were facing enemies with a spiritual power that was weaker than theirs, they would be able to easily kill that enemy by drawing out all the blood within them.

Rank 6 godclads, for instance, will only be bags of blood waiting to be burst to them. But legends have more control over their bodies, so Legion will have to be more inventive with the Blood Manipulation divine ability if they want to kill legends with it.

The other way they can use the Blood Manipulation divine ability is to convert their own blood into weapons. This is just like how telepaths can transform their minds into weapons and shields using the Mental Armament divine ability and how godclads of the pathway of Light can convert light into a means of attack.

When this ability is then combined with the special state of their divine form, where every part of their body becomes blood, not only will they be mostly immune to physical attacks in this bloody state, but they will also be able to use their entire body to attack others.

This state is similar to that of the divine beast form of legendary warriors who have the Body of Weapons divine ability.

The legendary warrior that they are currently fighting is using this state right now. He began using it immediately after Psychic Howl was used on him.

When the mental attack was used on him, his Martial Instincts divine ability screamed at him to liberate his divine beast form immediately. This was a bad idea because he was clearly in a bad mental state and shouldn’t stress himself by liberating, but he took the advice anyway.

He took the advice because even though it was bad, he just didn’t have a better idea. It is only with his divine beast form that he can resist. The alternative is to lie down and die.

As he liberated his divine beast form, he turned into a hybrid of a human, a tortoise, and a porcupine. He became a humanoid tortoise with four arms and a large dome on his back made of weapons and blades.

The blades jutted out of the dome on his back and made him look like a porcupine. But really, there were blades and knives all over his entire body too.

He was sharp all over, but this didn’t deter Legion. They didn’t avoid him because in their current state, blades couldn’t harm them. After all, a knife couldn’t cut water.

Secondly, they don’t need to touch him to harm him. They want to make him mad, and all they need to achieve that is to use the Psychic Howl divine ability on him again and again.

Psychic Howl didn’t need physical contact with him to destroy his mind, so he was still screwed. The best that his divine beast form could do was form a protective cocoon of spiritual energy around his soul to dampen the effect of the mental attack.

His liberated form formed a wall that protected him from mental attacks like Mental Armament and Sensory Hijack. But that wall couldn’t block Psychic Howl because sound seemed to travel faster the denser the material in its way.

Thirdly, even if they needed to touch him to harm him, their Sever divine ability was still sharper than his blades. It was because of this that they were able to cut off his legs and arms.

Legion converted their blood into blades that rendered him armless and legless. Not even the fact that he had four arms could change his fate.

Without arms and legs, he fell onto his back and couldn’t move. Legion was able to spare the female noble some of their attention and incapacitate her.

After incapacitating the female noble with the Imprison divine ability, they also incapacitated the legendary warrior with it. But they didn’t stop there. They continued to use the Psychic Howl divine ability on him.

The Psychic Howl divine ability was like a hammer striking his mind. At first, the hammer was only able to knock off layers of his mind. But as time passed and the pressure increased, the second and third layers of his mind began to crack.

The fact that he was in his liberated form only made matters worse. It is true that his liberated form protected him from the external attack, but his liberated form was also quick to take advantage of the cracks in his mind.

Soon the warrior went from howling in pain to just howling. His emotions became scattered, so he became angry, sad, and afraid at the same time. He had fine mad.

When he became mad, Legion felt the resonance in their body. When they looked inward, they saw that all three divine flesh from rank 4 to rank 6 were glowing. This meant that they were ready to advance.

They also felt another change in their divine abilities. They felt their Sensory Hijack divine ability become able to sense his emotions. So they were able to taste his mind as it fractured and went to pieces.

It was a weird feeling to perceive someone’s mind falling apart, but they didn’t concern themselves with it. What they did was to immediately take out the rank 7 divine flesh of the pathway of telepathy and begin assimilating it.
