That night, I left the room and saw the vine monster in the hall. The monster was still in a deep sleep. I didn’t disturb it and went outside.

Then I left the hotel room and went to the next room. I knocked on the door.

The next second, Hank opened the door. Seeing him, I nodded and asked, “Are you guys ready?”

“Yes, Master. We are ready,” Hank said.

Then I walked into the room. Patrick and Otto were inside.They greeted me. Hank followed me back inside.

My gaze fell on the three of them.

“Did you buy the necessary items?” I asked them.

I had a feeling that the ruin was going to be dangerous.

“Master, we have bought all the necessary items. There is no need to be afraid of the poisons,” Patrick said with a smile.

“Master, I have heard some important information. The City Lord is going to explore the ruin with his team tomorrow morning. We should not be late,” Otto said.

“The City Lord must be cautious. We should act soon,” Hank added.

Hearing that, I thought it was right to leave. Then I told them to hold hands.

Patrick, Otto, and Hank understood. They were going to enter the spatial treasure.

The next second, I brought them inside the Gregor Mansion. The four of us were in the hall. The dark root vine monster woke up.

It saw its master and the other three members. It made a sound. Hank, Patrick, and Otto greeted the monster as well.

The three of them were feeling a kind of oppression from the dark root vine monster. Especially Hank; he was facing overwhelming oppression.

It was hard for him to breathe. Patrick and Otto were getting a hint of a threat from the vine monster. They could tell that the vine monster was not doing it on purpose.

The monster’s presence alone was enough to intimidate them.

On the other hand, I saw that uncomfortable look on their faces. Then I turned towards the monster and told it to control its strength.

The next second, the vine monster hid its presence. The three of them felt the overwhelming feeling vanish.

“Alright, you four stay here. After reaching the ruin, I’ll let you guys out,” I said to them.

I nodded to them before appearing outside. Then I wore a face mask. I walked out the door and closed it. Then I started going towards the lobby.

A few minutes later, I left the hotel. But my expression was grim. The hotel manager was still awake. He didn’t say anything or stop me.

But I thought he was going to leak news about me.

So, I decided to leave the place right away. I left the hotel and started going towards the city gate. The city gate was closed.

No one was allowed to leave or enter. So, I thought the number of guards would be higher.

A few minutes later, I reached the city gate. Then I saw the city guards were there in large numbers. There were more than twenty of them.

There were a few people waiting outside. They wanted to go out, but the city guards were not allowing them to leave.

So, a fierce verbal confrontation was going on. I stood in front of a nearby shop and started looking for a way out.

I noticed there were people waiting outside as well. Their numbers were not low. I noticed the City Guards were distracted right now.

I thought it was a good time to leave the place. My gaze then fell on the city guards near the gate.

My gaze went straight towards them.

The city guards suddenly left the spot to help other guards calm down the crowd.

I disappeared from the spot and darted out towards that place. In a flash, I reached the spot. The city guards were alerted at that time.

“Stop!”

“Where are you going?”

The City Guards started shouting. They were supposed to assist the other guards, but they didn’t expect someone to sneak in.

The crowd turned their attention here. They were surprised. Someone dared to go outside without permission.

They were the ones who were asking for permission instead.

“We should leave by force!”

“Let’s break the gate and go outside.”

“Something is wrong with the city.”

“We should go now.”

The crowd gathered outside started breaking in. The city guards were dumbfounded. They started trying to stop them.

The people outside the gate noticed the changes as well. They decided to break the gate from the outside.

On the other hand, I flew over the city wall and landed on the ground. Then I bolted away from the place.

I moved away from the city as fast as possible. In the blink of an eye, I covered a major distance.

With the system’s help, I started going towards the ruins.

Meanwhile, the city guards attacked the people. Those who were trying to flee were killed by magic spells.

Suddenly, the death of the wizards caused panic among the people. They immediately reported the news to City Lord Coleman.

Coleman disappeared from the office. He appeared above the building in the sky. His gaze then fell on the city gate.

Seeing that commotion, he was displeased.

In a flash, he appeared before the city gate. He saw a few people had managed to escape. He then controlled the magic rules to kill them.

In the blink of an eye, the wizards were dead one after another. He heard from the guard that there was still one missing.

Magic Lord Coleman spread his mental power. The mental power covered the entire city. Then it started extending outward.

In the meantime, the locals who were trying to leave were scared. None of them moved an inch from their spot. They were afraid that they would be next.
