Chapter 1681: Part 2: Secret route travel

From MC’s Perspective

Next, I arrived in front of the control mirror. Seeing that there was no one outside, my eyes flashed with doubt. The system never gave a false warning.

“So, where are they?” I asked myself in my heart.

Suddenly, I saw the appearance of an old man outside. Then, a team of wizards arrived next. I asked the system whether he was the one.

The system results came back positive. The old man was the Magic Lord. My eyes flickered. I knew the system was right.

It was the Magic Lord and his team. Then, I waited for them to leave. But the Magic Lord seemed to be checking the place.

Seeing that, my heart stirred. This Magic Lord seemed to have sensed something. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be checking out the place.

It was good that I appeared in the Gregor Mansion earlier.

Shortly afterwards,

The Magic Lord and the team left the place. I heaved a sigh of relief. Then I returned to the hall. I told them to hold hands again.

The vine monster was going to stay here. The next second, I brought them outside.

“Let’s go, before the Magic Lord senses us,” I said to them.

Swoosh!

The next second, we resumed the journey. I was worried that the Magic Lord would spread his sense, but nothing like that happened.

Time passed,

We reached the exit of the forest an hour later. I didn’t expect this secret route to be this short, but it brought us out of danger.

In the blink of an eye, we came out of the narrow road and spotted a vast open land ahead. It was the outside area of the forest.

The four of us were about to cross the final boundary. I put my heart at rest. Just as I thought we were safe, I felt something spying on me.

The next second, the blood drained from my face.

[Ding! Warning]

[Unknown existence is spying on the host.]

[The host is advised to leave the place.]

The system voice sounded in my mind the next moment. I didn’t utter a word. In a flash, all four of us darted out of the forest and headed toward the vast open land.

“Don’t stop. Just continue to move at top speed,” I said to them.

Hank, Patrick, and Otto were taken aback. They didn’t ask any questions back. They continued to fly in the sky.

My heart was pounding. I didn’t know whether the unknown existence had given up or not.

“Master, where to?” Hank asked.

“Just go towards a big neutral city,” I uttered.

Hank nodded his head and changed direction. Seeing that, we followed him. I didn’t bring out the Raven Aircraft.

I thought it was not needed right now. We had the numbers. No one dared to go against us. At the same time, I thought the news about me would have settled down by now.

Time went by,

The nighttime came. I didn’t know where Hank was taking us, but we had left the region of the Nocturnal Forest and the local forces altogether.

It didn’t take long for us to find a good spot to rest. It was a beautiful pond in the middle of a grassy land filled with oak trees.

It was a bit of a surprise that we hadn’t come across any other wizard forces. Then, everyone found a small rock to sit down on.

“Damn, it was another crazy adventure,” Patrick said as he leaned against a massive rock.

“Master was able to subdue the 4th member. I don’t know whether any Lord-level monsters are there,” Otto asked with curiosity.

Hank’s heart set off a storm. He had heard explosive news from the Master earlier.

“The master was able to sneak into the camp. He then explored the ruins alone. Then he subdued the 10th Order Monster hidden there,” Hank thought.

This brought him another question. He was curious about the Master’s identity. He had this question in his mind earlier, but he didn’t have the courage to ask.

Now, after knowing such fear, he thought Master was not from an ordinary force.

On the other hand, I was sitting leaning against an oak tree. I saw Otto setting a small campfire. I felt relaxed a lot.

Then I thought of something. Before going inside the Gregor Mansion, I had stored the vine monster. I made it appear at the same spot in my palm.

The other three saw this scene. They were stunned.

“I brought him out to get fresh air,” I said to them.

Then I placed the Vine Monster on the ground.

Rustle!

The 10th Order Monster made a happy movement. Then it stretched one of its vine ends. It immediately darted out and extended up to the small pond. Then it landed in the middle of it.

A quick gleam flashed in my eyes. Then I saw the pond water being reduced in the blink of an eye.

Everyone had a look of understanding the next second. The monster was thirsty. It must have survived the rains and floods.

In the blink of an eye, the whole small pond was completely dried out.

Seeing that, everyone twitched their mouths. Then the vine withdrew. In a flash, it returned to its original shape but smaller in size.

Meanwhile,

The Nocturnal Forest was experiencing changes. The Magic Lord and his team arrived at the spot. They were exploring other ruins.

They wanted to know whether any other monsters were hidden in the ruins.

The Supreme Wizard Buck’s information was shared with the higher ups, so they were exploring the rest of the ruins. But they were yet to find the hidden rooms.

On the other hand, Supreme Wizard Buck and his team left the hilltop base. They were sent to explore other ruins under them.

In this busy work, they had forgotten about the three intruders. Only the teams under other forces were looking for them.

This particular force was doing this exploration. They believed that the ruin’s treasure was more important to them than to others.

Once they could find resources, it would give them an edge over other forces.
