Chapter 1657: Part 1: Brookspire town

From MC’s Perspective:

We continued to wait under the tree. Patrick and Otto were discussing something. They were looking at me to make a decision.

They were new to this place. At the same time, I was recalling all the known cities in my mind.

Among the cities, one of them caught my attention. It was not a city but a town.

It was also one of the biggest towns located close to one of the forbidden areas. Unlike other forbidden areas, this forbidden area was small.

The other end of the forbidden area was connected to the barren land. This forbidden area was called the Nocturnal Forest.

As its name suggested, the forest came alive during the night. Even the deaths of Magic Lords were reported there hundreds of years ago.

Then it was declared a Forbidden Area by the Mage Union. It was not as dangerous as the other forbidden areas.

The Nocturnal Forest was not a ruin or battlefield. Neither was it the hideout of criminals, nor was it a base for any evil wizard organization.

The Nocturnal Forest was filled with nighttime creatures and magic plants. Even the flowers and plants there were a threat to people.

So no one went there. Since there was nothing attractive for wizards, no one bothered with the ecosystem there.

“Master, did you make the decision?” Patrick asked.

Hearing that, I nodded to him.

Otto was using his magic to observe the surroundings. If anyone or any group appeared within the surrounding miles, he would know.

“I have a place in my mind. It’s also a remote location. But it was not a city but a remote town. It’s called Brookspire. As per the name, a small stream runs across the town,” I said to them.

Hearing that, Otto and Patrick got excited. At least they had a place to stay.

“Okay, Master. We can leave right now,” Patrick said with a sense of urgency.

He didn’t want to stay near where the Magic Lord could find them at any moment. He had complete trust in Otto’s magic.

But he couldn’t underestimate the Magic Lords. Maybe they had weird magic powers.

Otto’s face didn’t look good either. Although he wasn’t hearing anything, the unsettling feeling was still there.

He wanted to leave the place right away.

“Yes, Master. I’m not feeling good. It’s best for us to find the next safe place,” Otto said.

Hearing that, I didn’t waste any time. I brought the Black Raven Aircraft out. The aircraft landed on the ground.

I opened the cabin and asked them to get inside. Then I entered last and went to the cockpit. I turned on the aircraft and the stealth mode.

The aircraft became transparent in the blink of an eye.

Buzz!

Then the Black Raven Aircraft slowly hovered above the ground. It appeared in mid-air and started going towards the destination.

Inside the aircraft, I found Brookspire Town on the map. Then I set the destination to that place. After doing that, I sat down and relaxed.

Only now was I feeling somewhat relaxed.

Meanwhile,

A few figures appeared at the spot. One man had totally covered himself in mage clothes. He was wearing a mask and a mage robe with a hood.

This person was none other than the Magic Lord. If Patrick were to be here, he would be shocked to the core.

What he had suspected was happening right now.

“Interesting,” the Magic Lord commented.

The wizards behind were surprised.

“Lord, what happened?” one of the wizards behind him asked.

“I found the traces of two Supreme Wizards and one more wizard. It could be a small team escorting an important person,” the Magic Lord commented.

“Search around,” he gave the order next.

He didn’t think this small team could be carrying the outer space item. He didn’t want unknown people to roam around his own city.

Even if it was a small team from one of his allies roaming here, he wanted to know about it.

Time went by.

In the aircraft, the trace of unknown fear was gone. Now I had completely left the sphere of influence of Mistfall City.

Now, I was going to a completely new terrain. I had only watched a few pieces of footage of Brookspire Town. I immediately thought of Manager Lara.

I didn’t know other details about the town. Manager Lara could help me with the details. I immediately made a call to her.

Fortunately, Manager Lara answered the call.

I then told her about my current situation. Manager Lara was in shock again. Lord Charlotte had told me not to move around.

Yet I found myself in another situation.

“Do you want the Forbidden Wizards to rescue you again?” Manager Lara asked straightforwardly.

Hearing that, I felt guilty. To be honest, I didn’t need help from them. I could protect myself. But I didn’t say it openly.

“Manager Lara, I’m just updating my details. If Lord Charlotte were to inquire about my details, just tell her my location,” I replied.

Then we spoke about a few more things. I heard from her that Sutton had dispatched a few people outside the Magic City. So she warned me to be careful.

Hearing that, I was not surprised. I was expecting such a reaction. At this point, my identity would have been exposed.

So I asked her about it.

“Yes, your identity is exposed. It’s just everyone is thinking you are inside the Silver Tower. Some didn’t believe it. They have dispatched people to find you,” she said.

I sighed inwardly. Then I spoke to her about a few things before ending the call. I just told her to inform me if a serious situation arose.

Then I shifted my attention to the outer space item. I glanced at Patrick and Otto. They were alert and watching the outside scenes through the window.

I felt a sense of urgency. I thought it was the right time to use the outer space item. If any unwanted situation arose, I could protect myself.
