Chapter 1648: Beyond Control
Chapter 1648: Beyond Control
From MC’s Perspective:
Inside the City Lord’s building, I brought Young Master Hale to the main office. There was no one inside.
However, I found that City Lord Dorian and Guardian Marvin were not leaving my side. My mouth twitched. I didn’t want to be careless.
Who knows? They could harbor ill intentions towards me.
[Ding! Warning.]
[Both wizards have started showing rebellious thoughts.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I became alert. I turned towards Young Master Hale first.
He was awake. His eyes were filled with hatred. He didn’t dare to move yet. City Lord Dorian and Guardian Marvin were looking at us.
This won’t help, I thought.
“You two, stay outside the room,” I said to them.
Hearing that, Guardian Marvin and City Lord Dorian were stunned. They were afraid of the Forbidden Wizard, but not this kid.
Both of them got angry. Guardian Marvin, in particular, was both scared and angry. He was scared about Young Master Hale’s situation, and angry about his own. They were being threatened by a kid.
City Lord Dorian was even more pissed off. At least the Sutton Family had a background. Even if Young Master Hale was imprisoned, they could get him free somehow.
But his fate was sealed instead. He couldn’t offend both of them. He would die for sure. Instead of waiting for death, he wanted to see if there was any chance.
On the other hand, I had a feeling that both of them might take a chance. According to them, I was a Level-9 Wizard; if they took a risk, they might win.
“It appears I need to call Lord Erwin. I’m sure he will teach you a lesson,” I said in a threatening tone.
Hearing that, both of them were stunned. They looked at each other. They could see fear in one another’s eyes.
After receiving the repeated threat, both of them left the room. They didn’t want to stay there any longer. Otherwise, they might do something unnecessary.
Creak!
Both of them left the room and closed the door.
“You don’t have any idea who you are messing with,” Hale said, speaking for the first time.
Hearing that, I was startled. I had thought he lost his mind due to fear. Now that he could talk, he had started recovering somewhat.
“I don’t care. I hope you don’t try anything smart,” I said to him.
Hale was angry, but he couldn’t say anything. He cursed his bad luck in his heart.
Boom!
The next second, a deafening sound occurred. The sound was so loud that the window glass shattered a few seconds later.
Hale and I were dumbfounded. We were wizards, so we were able to withstand the force. Yet, it was unbelievable to feel the aftermath here.
“It’s the power of the Forbidden Wizards,” Hale muttered.
Hearing that, my mouth twitched. This guy was bloodied, yet he still made such comments.
[Ding! Warning!]
[Many wizards are rushing towards the host’s building.]
The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, I turned to Hale, who was looking at the exit. I knocked him unconscious.
Then, I picked him up and appeared inside the Gregor Mansion.
Swoosh!
The next second, a loud voice sounded from outside the office I had just left.
“Who are you guys?”
“Stop. Don’t go inside. I’m the City Lord here.”
The voices of City Lord Dorian and Guardian Marvin sounded. They were anxious and helpless.
Boom!
The room was blasted open the next second. A few figures rushed inside. They were the wizards who had been waiting outside.
After realizing that the Forbidden Wizards were fighting for the outer space items, they had made up their minds to leave.
At the last moment, however, they came to know that there was someone else with the Forbidden Wizard. He was a Level-9 Wizard. Someone said the Level-9 Wizard might have the outer space item.
When someone said those words, everyone changed their minds. They couldn’t offend the Forbidden Wizard, but they could at least try to find the outer space item.
If the item was with the Level-9 Wizard, they could take the risk to rob him. Then they could settle down in a different place.
“Where is he?” someone asked.
Supreme Wizards and Magic Lords were present here as well. But they weren’t able to find Vincent Carey and Young Master Hale.
Swoosh!
City Lord Dorian and Guardian Marvin came inside. They looked beaten down and disheveled. They couldn’t face the Magic Lords and had gotten thrashed instead.
“Where is the Young Master?” Marvin muttered.
He was dumbfounded. They knew they were inside just a while ago.
City Lord Dorian was confused. He thought it must have something to do with the Level-9 Wizard named Vincent Carey.
The Magic Lords and Supreme Wizards turned towards them instead. They didn’t believe the two wizards had disappeared all of a sudden.
The Magic Lords were pissed off first.
“Tell me, where are those two?”
“If you lie, then I don’t mind using a magic spell here,” one of the Magic Lords threatened.
“I’m the City Lord of this city. Do you guys think you can escape easily?” Dorian said all of a sudden. He was truly afraid in his heart, so he wanted to scare them away.
But his efforts were futile.
“Surround them and beat them hard. I’m sure they will spill the beans,” one of the Magic Lords said.
Hearing that, City Lord Dorian and Guardian Marvin were stunned.
Boom!
Before they could think further, a terrifying sound occurred. Something struck the City Lord Building. The ceilings and walls began falling down.
Swoosh!
Seeing the situation, the faces of the Magic Lords and Supreme Wizards changed. They immediately left the place through the window.
When everyone appeared outside, they saw that not only was the City Lord Building destroyed, but other tall infrastructure was damaged as well.
Cries!
Cries and shouts for help were everywhere. The fighting between the two Forbidden Wizards was causing all of this destruction. But it was just the aftermath.
The city was facing a crisis because of the shockwaves, not even the direct attacks of the Forbidden Wizards.
