My gaze fell on the auction stage. Then, I saw the Outer Space Item inside the transparent box.

A glint appeared in my eyes.

I used the system to learn the truth. The system confirmed that the auction item was indeed an Outer Space Item.

Erwin’s eyes flickered. He was shocked inwardly; he hadn’t expected the rumor to be true. The Sutton Family actually had an Outer Space Item in their possession.

Now they are willing to take the item out, he thought. His eyes turned cold. He realized that they were ready to use the Sealing Artifact.

His gaze locked onto the middle of the first floor. He wondered whether to get the Sealing Artifact out or not.

He then turned towards Vincent Carey. Seeing that Vincent was interested in the item, he decided to wait and see whether the item was actually going to be auctioned or not.

1st Room

The guest in the 1st room was tempted to buy the item. The Outer Space Item was not useful to him personally, but he knew the demand for it.

He could buy the item here and sell it for a huge sum later. So, he decided to bid.

4th Room

The middle-aged woman was shocked as well. Then, she got excited. One of the reasons she came here was for the Outer Space Item.

She had the same idea of selling the item for a higher price, but she knew that the competition was going to be severe.

5th Room

The Black Tower Wizard, Rowan, stood up from his seat. His gaze locked onto the Outer Space Item. Apart from the Evil Wind Magic Fruit, he was interested in this.

He could give it to his mentor, but he didn’t have enough money for that. His expression turned serious.

“This item should not fall into anyone else’s hands,” Rowan muttered.

He understood that he couldn’t possibly buy the item, he simply didn’t have the funds. He was sure that it would be priced in the millions.

So, he started contacting his mentor. When the call connected, he told him about the final auction item.

His mentor knew about the remote auction but had taken it as a rumor. But now that he heard the Outer Space Item was presented, he was shocked.

His name was Edmund. He was an old man, a veteran Forbidden Wizard of the Black Magic Tower, and also Rowan’s mentor.

After learning of the matter, he made a decision. The old man, Edmund, decided to leave the Magic City right away. He wasn’t going to barge into the city; instead, he would wait outside the city to rob them.

When the call ended, Rowan sat back in his seat.

Meanwhile

The Magic Lords in the other guest rooms got serious. They had come for this item. Now that they were seeing the Outer Space Item with their own eyes, everyone stood up from their seats.

They started making calls to their friends. It was one thing to buy the item; it was another thing to safely escort it.

They wanted the help of their friends to leave the city safely.

Stage

The female staff member decided to speak. She had given enough time for everyone to observe the item.

She said, “The special auction item is more valuable than a special relic. It is called an Outer Space Item. You can only find such items in the Mage Union.”

“Our City Auction House is honored to auction this Outer Space Item. It is called Silver-Gray Rock.”

“The base price of the item is 500 million Super Grade Mana Stones,” she said with a smile.

Gasp!

A loud exclamation occurred. The auction base price overturned their minds. Everyone was stupefied and remained quiet.

Everyone felt they must have heard it wrong and continued to look at the female staff member.

She felt everyone’s piercing gaze on her and quickly understood what was going on.

She immediately clarified, “Yes, the base price is 500 million Super Grade Mana Stones. Not Top Grade Mana Stones.”

This time, her voice reached everyone’s ears clearly.

Gasp!

Most of the wizards exclaimed. Many of them had only heard about Super Grade Mana Stones. Mines for such stones were controlled by the top forces of the world.

Even the guests in the private rooms were dumbfounded. They had thought the price would be in Top Grade Mana Stones, but the item was priced in Super Grade.

Even they were caught off guard.

The Magic Lords started calling for help. They wanted to get the Outer Space Item through underhanded means.

They had Super Grade Mana Stones, but only in the single or double digits not in the three digits required here.

They doubted whether anyone here could actually bid for the item.

3rd Room

Erwin smiled. He knew the Sutton Family was up to something. Now, he understood what it was. He turned towards Vincent Carey.

He said, “Vincent, the Sutton Family is not willing to sell this item in the auction. No one here can afford this many mana stones.”

“They wanted to use the Artifact from the beginning. The Outer Space Item was shown here just to keep everyone in their seats,” he explained.

Hearing that, a glint flashed in my eyes.

I had been eager to bid for the item. However, even the resources given to me by Lord Charlotte and Elder Dana were not enough.

I understood what Lord Erwin was saying. He was right. The Sutton Family had not been ready to sell the item from the beginning.

Erwin chuckled and said, “Don’t worry. If we can’t bid for the item, then we can rob it. I’m sure none of us here are rich enough to bid for it.”

I nodded to him and calmed my heart.

“Lord Erwin is right. I should believe him,” I said to myself.

Young Master Hale Sutton and Guardian Marvin were in the office, watching the reaction of the people on the first floor.

Hale smiled. There was a reason why the price was set so high. He wanted to see whether anyone had the money to bid for it.

If not, he was going to activate the Sealing Artifact next.
