“Why don’t we capture that kid? I will personally get answers from him,” Callen said.

His words fell like a thunderclap in everyone’s ears. Especially to Cooper; he was dumbfounded. The worst case had happened in the end.

“Father, it’s impossible. That kid is protected by the Special Mage Department. I heard Head Howard praised him as well.”

“If we take any action, it would affect the interests of the Aristocratic Families,” Cooper quickly refuted.

All the elders there had the same opinion. They were in the same boat with the Aristocratic Families. If they touched the Special Mage Department, then Head Howard Mason might use this opportunity to weaken them.

Callen’s eyes turned red.

“Do you think I care about the Aristocratic Families right now?”

“My grandson is dead. I don’t know how to face Rhys and my elder grandson, Robin,” Callen said.

Cooper gritted his teeth. His father was being emotional right now. But as the family head, he couldn’t afford to make such a mistake.

His father was a Magic Lord. But Head Howard was a powerful Magic Lord as well. He didn’t want to attract the direct anger of the Magic Lord.

In the Anderson Family, Tommy Anderson was puzzled by the death of his wizards. He had even gone there to investigate the Abandoned Pinewood Forest.

From MC’s Perspective:

After attending the lectures, I exited the class and went to the library. I didn’t know what Head Howard was doing. I was hoping that he had found some answers in the Abandoned Pinewood Forest.

After entering the library, I quietly went to one of the sections and started reading the books.

Time passed.

When the sun was going to set, I received a summons from Elder Paul. I stopped reading and put the books back on the racks before leaving.

Shortly afterwards,

I arrived at Elder Paul’s cabin. The door was unlocked. I went inside the room. Elder Paul was sitting behind the desk.

“I heard you went to Virez City,” Paul Lin asked.

Hearing that, my heart skipped a beat. Then I quickly collected my thoughts.

I replied, “Yes, I had explored Verdant City before. So I was curious about Virez City.”

“Oh,” Paul Lin uttered in surprise. He actually believed it.

There was some other reason why he asked Vincent to come here.

“Head Howard has returned. He has explored the forbidden Pinewood Forest to some extent. But he says that place is still dangerous.”

“The deepest part of the forest can pose a threat to the Magic Lord. So Head Howard wanted you to focus on your magic practice. He will find other ways to get you the Gravity Magic Resources,” he added.

Hearing that, my heart was in turmoil. The Abandoned Pinewood Forest was my only hope. But it could pose a threat to the Magic Lord. I believed Head Howard. He wouldn’t lie about this.

He had already agreed to give me Gravity Magic Resources. So I could only wait for that.

“It’s okay, Elder. I can understand. I will be waiting,” I replied to him.

Then I stood up to leave.
