Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Lecture Hall,

I have been attending the class as usual. So far, there have been no other troubles. I had not seen Harvey since that day. But something else is still going on. The wizards from the Bloodline Beast Department are stalking him.

I can tell that Charon Perry hasn’t given up his hostility. I think he still has a plan to kill me. When I think about it, my eyes turn cold. If I don’t do something about it, I will be under this continuous threat.

“What if I kill that b@stard?” I asked in my heart.

I bet Charon Perry won’t sit still. If he knows I went outside, he will send someone after me. But the problem is something else. If it were a Level-8 wizard or below, I could handle it. But if the wizard is Level-9 or above, then it would be troublesome.

I suspect he won’t send a Level-9 wizard. The Level-9 wizards are the main elders of any wizard organization. I doubt the Perry family would dispatch such an elder after me. So my heart tells me to take a risk.

After giving it some thought, I have decided to take that risk. But I will have to do this without informing Elder Paul Lin. Otherwise, there is a chance that my strength will be exposed.

Time passed.

After attending the four courses, I left the classroom and started moving toward the exit. The other students were going about their business.

I walked out of the Special Mage Department. Instead of heading to the dorm building, I’m heading toward the Teleportation Platform.

On the way, I’m thinking about the stalkers as well. I wonder what they are doing right now. Even if I spotted them roaming in the main city, I guess Charon Perry would be able to learn the news.

When I reached the Teleportation Platform, suddenly, I had this crazy idea. I have been to the Main City and Verdant City, but there are four other cities as well.

“Why don’t I take this opportunity to visit other cities?” I asked in my heart.

Then a city name came to mind. “Virez City” is the second-largest city after the Main City. Virez City is also a hub for many businesses run by wizard families.

I have decided to explore Virez City. After arriving at the platform, I told the guards my destination and stepped inside the platform.

Swoosh!

The guards activated the platform. The next second, I vanished from the spot. When I opened my eyes, I found myself standing on Virez City’s platform. The two guards here greeted me.

After nodding to them, I left the place. I came to a wider street and saw shops open and businesses running on both sides of the road.

I came to a spot under a tree and started observing the surroundings. First, I need to find someplace to sit and relax. My eyes swept across the shops before finding a café with one or two people going inside.

I took a moment before heading toward the café. After taking a few steps, I got there. Then I saw the shop name on the board.

After reading the name, I felt this one was a high-end restaurant. There is a possibility of customers from the wizard families coming here.

My mouth curved into an arc. It might be a good place to collect information. I walked into the shop and saw a few people sitting inside. There was also a second floor, so I walked upstairs.

The second floor has an open view. I found a nice spot before sitting in a chair. Apart from me, there are two females behind me, enjoying their drinks.

I could hear their conversations. They were discussing something about their family.

Shortly afterwards,

A staff member came to me. I ordered a coffee. The staff left after taking the order. I turned my attention to my communication watch and started looking for the Virez City map online.

I need to find a place to stay here tonight. I believe Charon Perry will send someone tonight. It will be a matter of time before he learns about my disappearance.

Meanwhile,

The wizards from the Bloodline Beast Department were looking for Vincent Carey, but they weren’t able to find him. They had assumed that Vincent returned to his dorm room.

Time passed.

After having a good coffee, I left the shop. I have selected a couple of hotels to stay at tonight. I thought I could get some information at the café.

But the two female wizards conversed about something else. I shook my head before removing the distracting thoughts. Following the map route, I came to a luxury hotel.

The luxury hotel didn’t look good. It wasn’t big either. So I followed the footpath to walk on to the next hotel. On the way, I observed the locals as well.

Here, the locals are wealthier than in Verdant City. The streets, shops, and other infrastructure look better than in Verdant City.

I could see more Level-6 wizards and above. As I continued to walk, I spotted people even going together with their entourage.

About a few minutes later,

I reached the second luxury hotel. When I saw the hotel name, I was left speechless.

Unknowingly, I came to the enemy family’s hotel. If I stay here, it’s nothing but a death wish. But I don’t know why I’m feeling thrilled.

After giving it a second thought, I started walking to the building. Then I entered inside and spotted a huge administration desk.

“Yes, I am in the city for personal reasons. I’m going to stay here for a few days,” I replied.

The staff member was happy to hear that.
