Chapter 1225 Ned Powell
A palace-like building with a white and black texture. It looks beautiful, but outsiders cannot see it.
Because the whole place above is covered with magic formations, those without permission cannot enter. It’s the residence and retreat place of the Transformation Supreme, Ned Powell.
At this time, a gap appears in a formation above, and a figure rushes in the next second. The person is none other than Harvey Nagle.
Since his deeds were exposed, he cannot wait to seek help from his master. Once Head Howard catches him, it would be all over.
He then lands in front of the magnificent white and black palace building and hurriedly approaches the door.
Creak!
The door opens. He walks inside, and the door behind him shuts automatically.
Harvey walks further into the huge hall. At the end of the hall, there is a huge wall standing, but it’s a secret door to his master’s place.
After arriving in front of the wall, Harvey sends an emergency message to his master. He won’t use it unless there is a life-threatening situation, but this time the situation is the same.
Creak!
Not long after, the huge wall changes, and a black door appears. Harvey’s face is solemn, and his gaze is locked onto the black door.
The next second, the black door opens from the inside automatically.
Harvey sees a long corridor stretching inside. Knowing that he mustered up his courage to face his master, he walks into the corridor.
When he reaches the end, there is another room. He knows it’s a meeting room. His master only allows important people to come and talk to him here.
He takes a step forward, and the door opens automatically.
Harvey then enters the room. He sees a middle-aged man sitting in a luxurious chair. The room is decorated with luxurious furniture.
The middle-aged man is Ned Powell, the level-10 Supreme Transformation Wizard, dressed in black mage cloth with an overcoat on top.
His gaze immediately falls on Harvey Nagle. He finds no life-threatening injuries on him, so he is confused by the emergency message.
“Harvey, what happened?” he asks.
But his voice sounds so deep that Harvey’s face pales.
“Master, there is a problem….” After saying that, he starts explaining everything, starting from his deal with Charon Perry.
Then he talks about his spying on Vincent Carey and his later encounter with Paul Lin of the Special Mage Department.
At first, Ned’s expression is calm. He is a level-10 Supreme and has weathered many storms. After learning that his student tried to kill someone on campus, he doesn’t care much. But then his student says something that immediately angers him.
“Fool?”
“Did you try to kill someone under the eyes of Paul Lin?” he asks.
Harvey shudders and quickly replies, “Master, I didn’t know he was there.”
Ned’s eyes turn cold as he looks at his useless student. There are some people in the True Elements Society he doesn’t want to deal with.
One of them is Paul Lin, who is under the Starlight Supreme Phylia, someone stronger than other supremes.
His eyes flash with envy. He was in seclusion to improve his strength, but he didn’t expect his own student to cause this problem.
He doesn’t think much of Vincent Carey. But what worries him is Paul Lin’s backer and Head Howard. If the two of them join hands to target him, he would have to pay a lot more money.
He then directs his gaze toward his student.
“You have no idea about what you’ve done,” Ned says angrily.
“Master, it’s all because of Charon Perry,” Harvey hurriedly defends himself. He feels his master’s suffocating aura; it would only take simple coercion to break all of his bones.
“Perry Family,” Ned’s eyes narrow. Stay connected through My Virtual Library Empire
The Aristocratic Factions support him, but he doesn’t openly endorse anyone. Every time someone from the Perry Family decides to drag them into something, he hates it.
But the Perry Family is one of the top families, and he can’t target them. Otherwise, it would arouse the dissatisfaction of other Aristocratic Families.
Ned suddenly thinks of something before looking at his student.
“Tell me what happened in the organization during my retreat?” he asks.
Harvey sighs in relief, thinking that his master is angry about something else.
He then begins to explain what he knows.
About 20 minutes later,
Ned Powell reveals a bright smile on his face. He knows the conflicts between the Aristocratic Faction and the faction supporting Head Howard.
To think a lot of things happened during his seclusion. He smiles, assuring himself that the Aristocratic Faction will recruit him.
After a certain level, the number of supremes might decide the outcome. Though Head Howard is a Magic Lord, he can’t do anything against many supremes.
The Supremes are the pillars of the True Elements Society. If Head Howard threatens him, he always has a way out.
Buzz!
The next second, his thoughts return to reality. Feeling the emergency summon, his expression turns solemn. The person summoning him right now is none other than Head Howard.
“You will stay and practice inside the palace. I’ll go and talk to the head,” he says before disappearing from the spot.
When his master is gone, Harvey can’t stay still. He immediately contacts Charon Perry, intending to scold that bastard.
Before, he only paid attention to the benefits but failed to consider the internal politics. Now that he has recounted everything to his master, he realizes he had overlooked something.
He was taken advantage of by Charon Perry. With the Perry Family’s strength, it’s easy for them to deal with Vincent Carey. Yet that guy sought his help. It’s like killing a target with someone else’s knife.
Thinking about it makes his heart boil with anger. A dignified level-9 Wizard like him was used by a junior. If not for his Perry Family identity, he would have gone there already to kill him.
Charon Perry was not answering, his anger intensified.
