The following day,

I appeared outside after getting ready and started observing the surroundings. I have a feeling that the Anderson family must have tightened their borders, including the remote area of the poisonous forest.

But Head Howard told me to stay at the previous location, so I had to go back to that place. After making a quick decision, I used my flight ability to move.

About 20 minutes later,

A mechanical voice sounded in my mind. At this time, I had already reached the border. There was only a couple of distances left between me and the poisonous forest.

But I’m not afraid. No one can sense my presence unless they spot me directly. After glancing at the place, I decided to stay behind the gigantic tree.

Sitting down under the tree, I felt relief and happiness. Obtaining gravity-related resources has always been a problem for me. Now, I have completed the mission.

Head Howard will get resources for me. Thinking about it, my mouth curved into an arc.

“I spotted you from a long distance,” he added.

Hearing that, a look of understanding dawned on me.

“No wonder the system didn’t warn me. He was not in the range at all,” I said to myself.

Then I looked at him and asked, “Head, what’s next?”

Howard smiled and said, “I received your message several hours earlier, but something else happened.”

My expression couldn’t help but condense.

Upon seeing Vincent’s reaction, he chuckled and said, “There is no need to worry. It’s good news.”

“Anderson Family Head has agreed to release the imprisoned wizards. He wants to resolve the issue on the table,” he added.

Hearing that, I felt strange. I didn’t know how to react.

“Could yesterday’s incident have forced him to take this decision?” I asked myself. It’s very likely that last night’s incident caused this.

Now I felt a bitter taste. I had worked hard for nothing. I turned towards the Head. I didn’t know whether he would go back on his word.

Howard saw through my thoughts.

“You little guy. I know what you are thinking.”

“You have worked hard to find the map and prison layout. Yet the Anderson Family Head decided to resolve the issue.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t go back on my word. I will get you gravity magic resources, including the rule power ones,” Howard said with a smile.

Howard had already thought of a plan. He was going to bleed the Anderson Family’s treasury today.

Hearing that, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

“Thank you, Head,” I said.

“Don’t mention it. Let’s go; the Anderson Family Head must be waiting for me,” Howard said.

“What?” I asked in bewilderment. This came out of nowhere. Why does he want me to go with him?

“Are you not coming? I don’t want to waste time. Let’s get our members back and go back together,” Howard said.

I involuntarily nodded my head.

Seeing that, Howard grabbed my shoulder and appeared in mid-air. Then we started entering the Anderson Family territory.

We crossed the poisonous forest in the blink of an eye. I thought someone would be alarmed, but no one came to stop us. It appeared that the Anderson Family was informed.

We came to the main area of the Anderson Family. I could see several high-rise buildings and streets. He took me to a special palace-like building.

The building was white in color. After arriving in front of the building, we stood there. The place was empty. No one was around us.

The next second, the palace door opened from the inside. A middle-aged man wearing luxury clothes appeared outside. Upon seeing us, he immediately walked up to us with a bright smile on his face.

“Welcome, Head of the True Elements Society!”

Tommy Anderson greeted us with a smile.

“Ha… Ha… Ha…, it’s nice to meet you on good terms,” Howard said with a smile.

“Anderson Family Head,” my heart set off storms.

These two people had a deadly feud a couple of hours ago. Now they were speaking like childhood friends. My expression was strange.

I guess this is what they call politics. I dislike it.

Tommy smiled upon seeing Howard. Then his gaze turned towards me next. His eyes flashed with surprise because he couldn’t sense my magical level.

“Who is this young wizard?” Tommy Anderson asked with interest.

“Well, his name is Vincent Carey, special mage of our organization. I brought him here for a reason,” Howard replied.

“Oh,” Tommy uttered in surprise.

Then his expression returned to normal.

“Let’s go; we can discuss inside,” Tommy said.

Then we started following him towards the palace building.

After entering inside, I started looking around. The space inside the building was large. Several wooden antique-style furniture pieces could be seen inside.

There were also aesthetic paintings all over the walls.

“It’s our guest building, where we usually meet with wizards from other places,” Tommy said without turning back.

Howard kept a smile on his face. He sensed several hidden mana signatures hiding inside the building. They were likely secret guards.

Tommy took us to his office room. After entering inside, he activated the protection formation so that no one could attack or eavesdrop on their conversations.

“Guest, please sit down,” Tommy said before sitting in his chair.

We sat opposite him.

Tommy’s expression turned serious, especially as it was time to speak about the main topic.

“Head Howard, I sincerely apologize for all this inconvenience,” Tommy said.

Howard smiled and replied, “Anderson Family Head, I know some of the things happening in your family, so I will ignore it this time.”
