The jungle was filled with unknown sounds, every rustle of wind and grass made his nerves taut, Drax constantly reminded himself to stay calm, using his ears to catch any possible clues.

He made simple markers to prevent getting lost, while hoping they could guide Sylra to find him, if she was still alive.

Time seemed to slow down abnormally, every minute felt stretched out.

Two days passed, Drax encountered countless people, ending up covered in scars, but he tenaciously survived, he even turned the tables and killed those who tried to murder him.

His wounds grew more numerous, but his will grew firmer, the rigorous training from his family allowed him to adapt quickly to combat.

He constantly recalled every moment spent with Sylra, those warm memories became the driving force pushing him forward.

Finally, at dusk on the third day, Drax discovered something unusual in a relatively open clearing, scattered on the ground were torn pieces of clothing and drops of blood that hadn’t yet dried.

His heart seized violently, an ominous premonition welled up within him, he quickened his pace, tracking the trail of blood.

Before long, he arrived at a hidden cave, the entrance was almost imperceptible, obscured by vines and branches, but Drax caught a faint glimmer of light from inside.

He held his breath and slowly approached, terrified of startling whatever was inside, when he finally stepped into the cave, the sight nearly suffocated him.

Sylra lay quietly in a corner, face pale as paper, eyes shut tight, body covered in wounds, and standing beside her was the man who had previously been unconscious in front of Drax, he was looking down at it all with the posture of a victor.

"Oh? Another little brat? Do you know this little girl?" The man’s voice was playful, his face full of mockery.

Drax’s eyes turned bloodshot, anger and grief intertwined, nearly making him lose his reason, he charged at the man, and the two were instantly locked in a brawl.

Although he had grown over the past two days, his opponent was burly and nearly twice his size, combined with exhaustion diminishing his strength, Drax quickly fell into a disadvantage.

"Why... why did you kill her?" His voice trembled, every word squeezed through gritted teeth.

The man sneered, "On this island, only the strong survive, your sister was a weakling, in the end, only one person can live, so why shouldn’t I kill her?"

These words were like a dagger stabbing into Drax’s heart, "When you were unconscious in front of me, I should have killed you!"

He thrust his dagger forward in a furious swipe.

"Oh? What a pity, who told you not to kill me?" The man’s face was full of ridicule.

Drax’s dagger carved an arc through the air, but it was easily blocked, the man used the momentum to throw Drax heavily onto the ground.

Pain and anger nearly drowned him, but in this critical moment, an unprecedented power quietly awakened within his body.

It was a hidden power inherited through his family’s bloodline, deliberately suppressed to prevent exposure, in this desperate situation, the power sensed its master’s crisis and surged on its own, breaking through its restraints.

Drax felt his blood vessels bulge as a warm current rose from his dantian, coursing through his limbs and bones, his gaze instantly became sharp, as if able to see through all illusions.

He looked at himself in astonishment, suddenly recalling what was written in his family’s genealogy, their family was extraordinary, descendants of immortals, though they had fallen into decline, is this the power of an immortal?

Gripping his dagger tightly, when he stood up again, he was no longer that battered youth, but an incarnate god of vengeance.

"Did you think I had no way to deal with you?" His voice was deep and powerful, carrying unquestionable majesty.

He moved, appearing before the man like a phantom, his speed left the man astonished, just as the man tried to counterattack, Drax flipped his palm, spiritual energy erupted, forming a dazzling beam that blasted into the man’s chest.

This strike condensed all his fury, its power far exceeded his own imagination.

With a loud crash, the man was sent flying like a boulder struck by a sledgehammer, he crashed into the cave wall, then slumped to the ground, never to make a sound again.

Drax stood panting heavily, looking at the corpse, his vengeance had been exacted, but he could not bring Sylra back.

He knelt beside her, tears falling silently, he stroked his sister’s face, trying to find warmth in her icy skin, but everything was too late.

In this moment, he felt unprecedented loneliness and despair, he had lost all his family, his final tether to this world, but he couldn’t give up, although Sylra had left, her innocence and kindness would remain in his heart forever.

He secretly swore that no matter how difficult the future might be, he would survive for Sylra’s sake, Drax gave his sister a proper burial, picking up her dagger, he stepped into the forest with resolute gaze.

He wanted revenge, revenge for his parents, he would find out who had put them on this island to play this cruel game.

As time passed, the corpses grew more numerous and survivors dwindled, relying on his awakened power, Drax approached the dawn of victory, but the price was heavy, paved with fading lives and shattered hearts.

Finally, on a dark, windy night, Drax stood at the island’s highest peak, looking down at the only opponent left, a stranger covered in scars with hollow eyes, who was shockingly also a cultivator.

Their battle was fought without words, only the cold glint of daggers and sparks of life, after a fierce struggle, Drax used his last ounce of strength to plunge his dagger into the opponent’s chest.

He won, but he also lost, he had lost all his loved ones, he became the sole king of this isolated island, yet he was also its loneliest and most sorrowful soul.
