God Level Necromancer: My Talent Multiplies All My Gains to 10000x
Chapter 63: Clearning the shelters
After coming out of the restaurant, Arthur didn’t head home just yet. He took out his phone and called his grandfather.
"Grandpa, do you have a moment?" Arthur asked.
"Yeah, what is it?" Alexander asked from the other side.
"Do you know who the most ancient families on Aethelgard are, with the oldest records still in existence?" Arthur asked.
In his previous life, he had always been busy leveling up and gaining power, so he knew little about the real world.
And after the game merged with reality, everything became too chaotic for him to learn much about the ancient families.
But now, he had some time before the apocalypse arrived.
"By oldest, do you mean those hidden families with Force Masters and all?" Alexander asked.
"Yes. Do you know any of them right now?" Arthur asked.
"I don’t know about the actual hidden families, as they’re very conservative. But I know some familes who might be connected to those families. Do you want me to give you their details?" Alexander asked.
"Yes, that would be helpful." Arthur nodded.
He knew of several hidden family members who were all extremely powerful. Most of the hidden families had become demigod families in his previous life.
But the addresses he knew were all from his past life, after humanity had created fortress cities because the beasts destroyed 50% of humanity within just 30 days of the game merging with reality.
Only powerful players and their families survived, along with those whom the government could protect.
So he couldn’t tell where those families lived now, as Aurora City had no hidden families left after becoming a fortress city.
Soon, he received details about five families, all of which were powerful families connected to the elite business world.
[1. Rosbeth Family, Aveline City.
2. Hamilton Family, Belavale City.
3. Lin Family, Briarford City.
4. Karuizawa Family, Lavenbrook City.
5. Potter Family, Manhattan City.]
Arthur narrowed his eyes.
All these cities were too far from Aurora. Even if he used his private jet, it would take hours to visit all five families, and his meeting with the marfolks was imminent.
’I’ll investigate after the meeting,’ Arthur decided before starting to walk toward his home. This time, however, he used 100,000 Divine Gold to bring out his mount from the game.
As he threw the Poké Ball into the air, a huge, nine-foot-tall and fifteen-foot-long dark panther appeared. It was a good thing he had used it where no one was present, or else, people might have been frightened to death.
Though it looked imposing, it was very docile.
It appeared in front of him and sat in a submissive gesture.
Arthur climbed onto its back and used Stealth. The panther could also use Stealth at night, so both of them vanished from everyone’s eyes.
Boom!
With 100,000 Agility, the panther could move at almost 90 times the speed of sound.
But it was only running at a normal speed, as Arthur wasn’t in a rush to do anything.
After arriving at his home, he entered the house and went directly to his room.
"Let’s clear all those shelters and increase my strength first. Once the map of the Sun Kingdom unlocks, I’ll go to other cities to increase my strength as quickly as possible and challenge the Epic Ruin as well," he muttered before closing his eyes.
The next instant, he appeared in his shelter. The ground floor belonged to him, and no one was allowed to come here except himself.
He trusted his family, but he still wouldn’t trust them with his life completely. Human nature was very fickle.
After coming out, Arthur didn’t go to meet anyone on the ninth floor.
He directly used a portal outside and went out alone.
He had already conquered three shelters, but there were still seven left.
These ten were actually the Legendary-grade shelters. As for the lower grades, there were around 100 shelters in the city of Herian.
But Arthur didn’t want to take over those shelters.
He summoned his mount and started riding it.
Arthur could use Stealth on his mount as well, so he didn’t attract any unnecessary attention.
Thus, he started heading toward his next target, the fourth shelter.
After arriving there, he sent a message to Noah.
"Send one of them to this location within 30 minutes."
After that, he entered the shelter.
Twenty minutes later, he came out and found Cris standing there.
"Hello, brother," Cris greeted him.
"Go inside and bind yourself to that shelter," Arthur said before moving toward his next destination.
As Arthur kept clearing the shelters, each of his cousins bound themselves to one of them.
Four hours later, Arthur had already cleared the ninth shelter and bound it to one of his cousins.
Now, he was standing in front of the tenth shelter, with Noah standing beside him.
"So you want to fight the monsters there?" Arthur asked.
"Yes. I want to hone my skills even more. I don’t want to become a burden to you later. So please allow me to fight there," Noah said in a resolute tone.
"You can fight, but don’t fight the bosses. Those bosses are all high-level bosses, and you are no match for them," Arthur said.
He let Noah fight as well. He should have a reality check, or else he would become just a burden, as he had said himself.
Noah nodded and went inside.
When Noah went inside, Arthur didn’t follow him.
He sat down and started thinking.
"I wonder if that old blacksmith is still there."
There was an old blacksmith NPC who asked players to complete a task for him.
According to the grade of the task they completed, he would forge them a life-bound weapon or armor.
And Arthur wanted that weapon. A life-bound weapon meant it would grow along with the player.
Suppose he completed an Epic-grade task and received an Epic-grade dagger.
The specialty of this dagger was that it would remain Epic-grade, but its required level would keep rising along with its power.
Suppose Arthur was level 11 now, and the dagger he used was a high-grade Epic item with a required level of 10.
This dagger would always remain like this.
But if it were a life-bound weapon, its required level would increase along with his level. Now, it had 15 times damage amplification. At level 20, it might have 20 times or even more. That was the difference.
And gaining an Epic item at a high level was difficult.
In the Genesis Realm, the most powerful creature humanity ever faced was a Legendary-grade demigod boss, the invincible boss guarding the Tomb of Nazirik. No number of players had ever been able to defeat that thing.
Even once, the top 100 level 99 demigod players, led by Varian himself, attacked it alongside their guilds.
But they were all wiped out within 30 minutes.
"I really need to get a Mythical-grade dagger from that man while I can. I don’t think I’ll ever find that man again," he muttered.
He stood up and decided to go inside, as 40 minutes had already passed since Noah entered.
When he went inside, he found Noah was in a bad shaped. Bleeding from everywhere, burned flesh. His hp was also about to hit zero and he only killed around 15 common monsters.
