God Level Necromancer: My Talent Multiplies All My Gains to 10000x
Chapter 59: Planning with Alexander
Arthur logged out of the game and immediately made his way to the Evergreen Corporation.
By the time he arrived, the entire area had been restored to its former condition. The damaged buildings had been repaired, the streets were clean, and the corporation’s employees moved about their daily tasks as if nothing had happened. Everyone bowed respectfully when they saw Arthur, showing him the same level of respect they showed Alexander. The old man had personally instructed them to do so.
"Has the old man come out of the game yet?" Arthur muttered.
It was inconvenient that he could not enter the town after arriving in the city. Otherwise, he could have given Amelia and Michael a proper taste of hell there already.
"What a shame," he muttered, shaking his head.
He did not linger any longer and went straight to the thirtieth floor, where Alexander’s office was located. When he entered, he found the old man sitting comfortably in his chair. Alexander’s complexion had improved considerably, and a healthy glow had returned to his face. He was wearing a happy smile, looking far more relaxed than he had in recent days.
"Old man, when did you come out of the game?" Arthur asked as he entered the office.
Alexander immediately looked up at his grandson, his eyes filled with all the affection he could muster. This was his grandson, the current pillar of the Miller family and the person who would lead them into the upcoming new era.
"I came out a while ago. The game sent me a signal that my body was hungry," Alexander replied with a smile.
"Is that so? How is your alchemy? Are you ready to challenge the Legendary Grade evolution trial?" Arthur asked curiously.
High-level alchemists were extremely valuable because the pills they produced could not simply be purchased from the system shop. The shop sold specific pill recipes, but even those were limited in number. Obtaining a powerful, unique recipe depended partly on luck, and the pills created by skilled alchemists could command astonishing prices.
"Yeah, I’ve used all the money you gave me and practiced like crazy. I’ve been burning money like paper, and now I can create Top Quality Grade 1 pills. I think I’m ready," Alexander said proudly.
"If you’re not ready, you can practice more. There’s no need to hurry," Arthur replied in a reassuring tone.
Professional classes required their users to create high-quality items to evolve through the corresponding trial. The quality of the items mattered greatly, and Arthur had no intention of allowing Alexander to attempt the trial before he was fully prepared.
"My success rate is already eighty percent when creating Top Quality pills," Alexander said again, clearly expecting praise.
"Not enough. Take it to one hundred percent," Arthur said flatly.
Alexander’s proud expression immediately collapsed.
"Fifty thousand Divine Gold only got me to eighty percent. From now on, every additional one percent will burn money like straw. How are you going to afford that?" he asked.
He was well aware of the value of Divine Gold. Every major corporation had already begun converting its assets into game currency, fearing that the value of the Arvian Dollar would soon collapse. Spending such an enormous amount of money on alchemy was not something he could take lightly.
"Don’t worry about the money," Arthur replied.
He immediately transferred another five hundred thousand Divine Gold to Alexander.
The moment the notification appeared, Alexander shot up from his chair. His eyes widened as he stared at the enormous sum that had suddenly appeared in his account.
"You, you... Where did you get so much money?" he stammered, staring at Arthur in horror.
"I am Darklord. I don’t have a shortage of money," Arthur replied as if he were stating the most obvious fact in the world.
"Ptui!"
Alexander nearly choked on his own breath.
He had not been aware of his grandson’s identity until now. The revelation, combined with the massive transfer of wealth, was enough to make his heart race.
"You bastard! Have you finally decided to kill me by giving me shock after shock?" he roared.
Arthur gave him a disdainful look.
"Don’t overreact like a chick. Be a man and do what you need to do. Why are you wasting so many words on trivial matters?" he said in a mocking tone.
Alexander took a deep breath and slowly sat back down. He continued to glare at Arthur as if his grandson had personally bitten his tail.
"Old man, now for the serious talk."
Arthur’s expression suddenly turned cold and serious. The playful atmosphere disappeared from the office, replaced by an oppressive silence that made Alexander straighten in his seat.
"What is it?" Alexander asked curiously.
"The business world should have already adapted to the game currency. Am I right?" Arthur asked.
Alexander nodded.
"Yeah. All the major conglomerates are converting their money into game currency. They’re trying to secure their wealth before the Arvian Dollar loses its value."
"Old man, I’ll give you two hundred million Divine Gold. You have to buy major shares from every major business group in the country and abroad. Besides that, tell them they can exchange their dollars for Divine Gold directly with me. I’ll give them one Divine Gold for every eight billion dollars. I want you to bring all the dollars from the country into my bank account," Arthur said calmly.
Alexander’s expression changed the moment he heard the amount.
Two hundred million Divine Gold was equivalent to 2 quintillion dollars at system shop’s exchange rate. The entire economy of Aethelgard was valued at only around one hundred quadrillion dollars.
Gulp.
Cold sweat appeared on Alexander’s forehead.
"Are you sure you want to take over the economy of the entire world by yourself? That will make us the most wanted target in both the underworld and the business world."
Alexander understood exactly how the world worked. No one would willingly allow a single family to accumulate such overwhelming financial power. The moment the Miller family began purchasing major corporations across the country and overseas, every powerful faction would start viewing them as a threat.
Arthur had not considered that angle. He paused for a moment, then gave the matter some thought.
"Then I want you to destroy the Ashborn and Frost families financially. Bring them down to zero. You should also sever their ties with all the major companies so that no one can help them. Can you do that? And how much will you need to accomplish it?"
Alexander finally understood why his grandson had been radiating such a cold aura.
"Destroying those two families will be very easy. A hundred thousand Divine Gold should be enough," he estimated immediately.
He was an old monster when it came to the game of business. With the absurd amount of money under his control, he could bring down entire families or even challenge the government itself if he truly wanted to.
"Then do it," Arthur said.
He leaned back slightly, then continued, "The government should also be giving us two hundred square kilometers of land in Aurora City. I want to create Miller Town there. Any suggestions about where I should take the land? I’ll have to bring out the shelter there as well."
Alexander was about to become agitated again, but then he remembered who his grandson was. There was no point in arguing about the scale of Arthur’s ambitions when the young man possessed enough wealth to reshape the entire world.
"If you want to create a town for the Miller family, take the surrounding land of our corporation. There aren’t many people living around us, and most of the neighboring properties belong to different government facilities. You could take over those buildings as well. That would save us the trouble of constructing everything from scratch. We would only need to pay for the buildings and facilities. How about that?" Alexander suggested.
"All right. Give me good news soon," Arthur replied as he stood up.
He had no intention of leaving the matter to Alexander alone. He needed to meet the officials personally to secure the land and negotiate the transfer of the surrounding facilities.
With the location of Miller Town decided, the next step was to turn the plan into reality.
