Until now, his generals had been dying, yes, but not so many at once.

The monsters and bosses scattered throughout the shelter belonged to different levels, and among them were deadly nuclear monsters. Even so, the God Rank Generals each possessed their own unique attack strategies and synergistic combat styles. With their combined force, even killing a Level 60 Royal Grade Boss was not a problem, even if a few of them died in the process.

But now, they had died almost all at once. That could only mean one thing: they were confronting a Level 60 Legendary Grade Boss alongside a horde of other powerful bosses simultaneously.

Arthur slowly went ahead, though he was in no hurry.

"Leave the boss and clear the other monsters," he gave a concise telepathic order to his generals.

As he walked down the dimly lit corridors, he activated his shadow contract to recruit new shadow soldiers from the fallen creatures. He was selectively choosing only the nuclear monsters. Even as shadows, these creatures would retain their specific power of destruction every time they died and regenerated, making them invaluable assets for his army.

By the time he reached the second floor, Arthur had gained 730 nuclear shadow soldiers and accumulated over 100,000 artifacts. He was remarkably rich now, though it was still not quite enough to level up.

The loud, chaotic sounds of battle echoed through the massive underground cavern ahead.

Arthur arrived at the edge of the second floor and observed the battlefield. His shadow generals were struggling severely under the relentless strikes of a massive nuclear monster. It was an evolved dragon-type monster, towering over the ruins with a truly horrifying, mutated appearance.

Boom!

Arthur did not waste any more time.

He rushed toward the dragon at full speed.

The creature suddenly felt a fatal threat approaching, but it was already too late to react. Like a true god of death, Arthur swung his dual daggers in a swift, violent arc.

A staggering damage value of 300,000,000 appeared right above the dragon’s head.

The poor thing died instantly, before it could even process what had hit it.

Arthur did not wait around to celebrate.

Although the inevitable nuclear explosion from its death would not permanently kill him, the blast would still inflict a massive amount of damage that he preferred to avoid.

The moment he retreated to a distance of around one kilometer, a tremendous force burst out from the dragon’s corpse. The catastrophic detonation obliterated everything nearby, instantly killing all the shadow generals caught in the blast radius. Shockwaves and nuclear radiation rushed outward for nearly ten kilometers, but Arthur was already safely outside that deadly range.

After everything settled and the smoke cleared, he walked back to look ahead. Seven glowing orbs were floating in the air above the scorched ground: two common, two elite, two royal, and one single legendary orb radiating a deep orange color.

A moment later, his nine God Rank Generals revived and reappeared by his side.

Arthur gulped down two highest grade mana potions to replenish his reserves, then looked at his generals. They all harbored a deep, revered look in their eyes as they stared at their master.

"Go, clear the first floor. No need to engage with the legendary boss," Arthur ordered calmly.

"As you wish, My King," they responded in unison before vanishing into the darkness.

As they left, Arthur walked over to collect the legendary orb first. Would he gain a mythical grade artifact from this high-level drop? His heart pounded with anticipation.

[Ding! You have gained a high grade epic rank artifact, Space Ring.]

At first, his eyes filled with a trace of disappointment. He had secretly expected a mythical grade weapon, but this turned out to be just a high grade epic item. The daggers and other epic items he had acquired from the royal grade bosses so far were all low tier epic grade artifacts.

However, the moment he heard the words "Space Ring," his eyes instantly lit up.

[Name: Space Ring]

[Grade: Epic]

[Capacity: 9 cubic kilometers]

Arthur swallowed hard. A high grade epic rank space ring like this would cost him at least 10 million Divine Gold in the system shop, as space-type storage items of this scale were exceptionally rare and valuable.

"Damn awesome. Now all my storage problems are completely solved," he muttered to himself, unable to hide his excitement. In terms of practical utility, its real worth was no less than a low grade mythical artifact.

"Come out."

Instantly, ten shadow skeleton warriors emerged from the ground. Having evolved beyond their original physical constraints, they were now completely composed of dark shadow form.

"Go, collect all the artifacts scattered across these upper floors. Take this ring with you," Arthur commanded, handing the Space Ring to the lead skeleton.

The shadow skeletons took the ring and immediately bolted toward the upper floors to sweep the battlefields, while Arthur remained behind to collect the rest of the floating orbs on the second floor.

Another hour passed before Arthur descended to the first floor. When he arrived, he saw that the legendary nuclear boss monster, a gigantic titan ape, had already flattened his shadow generals with a single devastating punch. Instead of re-summoning them right away, Arthur instructed his generals to hold back.

Boom!

Arthur rushed toward the titan ape like a blur and cut it down with a single, precise blow.

Once again, he waited for the immediate destruction to subside before stepping forward to collect the orange orb left behind by the legendary ape.

[Ding! You have gained a top grade epic artifact, Monarch’s Wrath.]

The dropped item turned out to be a magnificent dagger.

[Name: Monarch’s Wrath]

[Grade: Epic]

[Function: Provides an extra 1,500% damage output.]

[Extra Function: 100% defense penetration. Deals nuclear radiation damage equal to 1% of total attack power per second for 30 seconds over a 1 kilometer radius.]

[Class Requirement: None]

[Level Requirement: 10]

"Good," Arthur nodded approvingly. Now he could finally upgrade his main weapon.

With this new dagger’s massive fifteen-times damage multiplier, his total damage output comfortably entered the range of billions, matching the base attack potential of a demigod.

"Let’s clear the final floor," he muttered, heading down to the ground floor personally. He was eager to test out his new weapon.

Upon entering the ground floor, he found thousands of monsters packed together, guarding the core of the shelter.

Boom!

Without wasting a single second, Arthur plunged into the wave of monsters and attacked.

The dagger’s area-of-effect passive triggered immediately. Even just one percent of his total damage output was more than enough to vaporize the surrounding bosses as well. As he darted across the room, monsters within a one-kilometer radius kept dying almost instantly, turning into a massive wave of experience and loot drops.

Ten minutes later, Arthur had completely cleared all the remaining monsters, along with the final Level 60 Legendary Boss.

[Ding! You have cleared the Omega Shelter.]

[Congratulations! You have obtained ownership of the Omega Shelter.]

Instantly, a deep mental connection formed between Arthur and the structure, granting him total control and administrative authority over the entire ten-floor shelter complex.

A broad grin appeared on his face. The Omega Shelter possessed so many powerful functions and resource-generating facilities that he could barely keep his composure.

Finally, his eyes landed on the floating orange orb left by the final legendary boss.

He stepped forward and touched it.

[Ding! You have gained a low tier mythical grade skill, Extraction.]

[Name: Extraction]

[Grade: Mythical]

[Function: Allows you to permanently extract blank attribute points from boss monsters after killing them.]

[Class Requirement: None]

[Level Requirement: 11]

Arthur’s eyes widened in sheer shock as he read the system description.
