Chapter 430: Chapter 27: World Tree Seedling (3)

Finally, the territories of any eliminated Noble Lords would be split 50/50—half for each side.

Of course, this would require Lin Yu’s side to deploy all its Slime Monsters in an all-out attack against the Noble Lords.

Lin Yu listened from the side as Mica, the envoy from Kazaria, spoke with great eloquence. The underlying message of his words was clear: you’d have to be an idiot not to cooperate with them.

"That’s enough for now. Send him back," Lin Yu’s voice sounded again.

Right on cue, Al cut Mica off.

"Very well, Envoy Mica. Do you have any other conditions?"

"No, Lord Al. Please, inform your master that our Titan Star Liberation Front is acting in good faith. As long as we can conquer the nobles’ territory, you will gain a full one-third of the continent’s landmass..."

"Very well. Since you have no other proposals, you may return and rest for now. As for the alliance, I must report this to my master before I can give you an answer."

Al unceremoniously cut Mica off before he could launch into another long-winded speech, which would undoubtedly be about the benefits of allying with them.

Once Mica had left the meeting room, Lin Yu’s voice was heard again.

"Al, I recall you saying that the Civilian Lords among your Titan Race are quite weak. You Noble Lords look down on them, don’t you?"

"Yes, My Lord!"

"The ratio of Noble Lords to Civilian Lords who made it to this stage is roughly one-to-one."

"However, their territories make up less than a third of the entire continent."

"At the beginning of the second stage, they could still use their numerical superiority to besiege Noble Lords, disrupting their development and causing them to be eliminated for falling behind."

"But by this stage, they only dare to launch sneak attacks. They can no longer even band together in small groups to resist us nobles."

"Why is that?" Lin Yu asked, puzzled. ’They’re all lords, the developmental gap shouldn’t be this huge, right? Besides, the Civilian Lords can still team up to gain numerical superiority within smaller areas.’

"Knowledge. Among my Titan Race, the education provided to nobles and commoners is vastly different. Their knowledge is far inferior to that of us nobles."

"A commoner’s education mostly consists of instilling basic knowledge, then training them to become service personnel."

"We nobles receive a much more extensive education from a young age. The pillars of society are all members of the nobility. Only a handful of extremely outstanding commoners are trained to become our subordinate servants."

"Most importantly, all the cutting-edge technology is controlled by different noble families."

"By this stage, even the power levels among us nobles have become uneven, with a very large gap in strength."

"The strength of us lords on the continent’s fringe is only slightly greater than that of the Civilian Lords; we each have a few of our own specialized technologies."

"The great nobles in the resource-rich Central Continent Region are the most powerful faction of our Titan Race. Each of them holds many technologies that are far ahead of other lords."

"Furthermore, they possess the means to cultivate Extraordinary Beings. Their soldiers are incredibly powerful, far beyond the capabilities of us lords on the fringe."

Al explained that the reason for this obvious power gap, when all was said and done, was the result of a monopoly on knowledge.

Al didn’t mention the education of slaves, but since they were slaves, it was certain they had no right to an education whatsoever.

They could only please their masters with their bodies and rely on luck to escape their slave status and become commoners, which was the only way for their descendants to earn the right to be educated.
