Chapter 420: Chapter 23: The Siege with No Casualties (2)

The Shadow Leopard struggled for a moment, then suddenly let out a wail, its movements becoming more violent.

But on the video, its movements were extremely awkward, as if it were tied down by someone, and their range grew smaller and smaller.

From its tensed muscles, you could see it was truly using every ounce of its strength.

Keze watched, dumbfounded. He was horrified to discover the Shadow Leopard’s body was shrinking. This wasn’t an evolution; it was being forcibly compressed by an invisible hand.

After wailing for a while, the Shadow Leopard’s cries grew faint, and it gradually stopped struggling.

Its body was eventually balled up into a small sphere and floated lightly into the Slime Monster’s body.

"This... this..." Keze was too shocked to speak.

The video’s final frame froze on the Slime Monster. Carrying the small, dark ball within it, it crawled into the distance—in the direction of his territory.

Keze glanced outside the surveillance room at the Slime Monster lying motionless under the sun.

’Are they really from the same species? They get this incredible at high levels?’

’These would be great to raise as pets!’

After watching the video, Keze’s first thought wasn’t about the danger of an Advanced Slime Monster entering his territory, but about the prospect of raising Slime Monsters as battle pets.

"Quick, copy the video! I’m going to use it for promotion. My pet business is going to be a massive hit!"

"Huh? My Lord, shouldn’t we take some precautions? With so many Advanced Slime Monsters entering the territory, the risk is extremely high!"

Keze’s Personal Guard quickly reminded him not to just think about earning points, but to also consider defending against a monster siege.

Keze paused for a moment, then ordered, "Have the soldiers enter a state of readiness. Send men to observe these Slime Monsters. As long as they show no intention of attacking the city, leave them be."

In his heart, Keze didn’t believe these Slime Monsters were very dangerous. Although they seemed powerful, the video showed that their aggression was low.

Its strength clearly crushed the Shadow Leopard, yet when the leopard was observing it and even during its first attack, the slime didn’t retaliate.

It was only because the Shadow Leopard didn’t know what was good for it and launched a second attack that it brought disaster upon itself.

Therefore, as long as the members of his territory didn’t actively provoke these Advanced Slime Monsters, they most likely wouldn’t pose a threat.

If the Slimes were wild animals, Keze’s assessment would have been correct.

Slimes, being naturally lazy and scavenging creatures, typically do not attack other living beings.

Unfortunately, these max-level Slimes were not wild. They were domesticated and had been ordered to seize this very territory.

「Titan Race Chat Channel」

Keze: "Slime_Monster_vs_Shadow_Leopard.avi"

Keze: "Everyone, look at my latest discovery! These Slime Monsters get incredibly strong at high levels!"

Keze: "Anyone want to buy one? DM me to pre-order. Limited quantity, first come, first served!!!"

...: "Mind-blowing video. Those bouncy things are actually that strong?"

...: "Must be a level-gap thing, right?"

...: "Even if it’s a level-gap, that’s still impressive! It means its grade is high. An ordinary creature, even at max level, can’t take down a Shadow Leopard!"

...

In the chat channel, the video Keze posted sparked another round of discussion about Slime Monsters.

These discussions also spread to the regional chat channel and various private groups.

Al saw these discussions in the chat channel and found them hilarious.

’They want to raise Bee Swarm Gluttonous Slimes as pets?’

’Ha~ Just wait until you’re attacked by these Slimes. Then you’ll know what true despair is!!’

Meanwhile, as Keze was happily DMing a group of lords and busy tallying orders, his Personal Guard came rushing in.

"My Lord, it’s terrible!!"

"Something terrible has happened!!!"

"What... is... it... now???" Keze unhappily stopped chatting. Being interrupted while he was busy talking business and making money infuriated him.

"My Lord, those Advanced Slime Monsters are heading straight for our city!!"

"Hm? You didn’t attack them, did you?"

"No, no! Who would dare after seeing that video?" the Personal Guard quickly denied. "When I sent people to scout, I gave them strict orders to just watch from a distance."

"When we discovered the Slime Monsters were heading toward our territory, we placed food they like along their path."

"But after eating the food, they didn’t turn to eat the food in other directions. They just kept coming toward our territory."

"What???" Keze grew anxious after hearing this. He immediately exited the group chat, ignored the flood of private messages, and rushed to the city wall with his Personal Guard.

"Our territory doesn’t have anything that would attract those Slime Monsters, does it?"

"No!"

"True!" Keze realized it too. If there was something in the territory that was especially attractive to Slime Monsters, the one sunbathing would have definitely shown some abnormal behavior instead of just lying motionless under the sun.

By the time Keze appeared on the city wall, the Slimes had also entered his line of sight. They emerged from the forest in front of the territory and crawled toward the city, appearing much faster than in the video.

Keze was too far away from the Slimes to see that they weren’t actually crawling on the ground, but were floating slightly above it, drifting forward.

The Slimes had discovered during their journey that using Telekinesis to lift themselves up and fly was much faster than crawling.

As long as they controlled their speed properly, the consumption of Telekinesis would equal its recovery rate. Aside from the mental fatigue from the fine control, lifting themselves to fly was a nearly perfect way to travel.

’They’re so fast. Does being a high level change them this much?’

Keze calculated their speed based on where the Slime Monster in the video had appeared and the time it took them to get here. He discovered that the Slime Monsters were even faster than his ordinary soldiers.

(Due to environmental factors, Titan Race soldiers are not particularly fast.)

Upon realizing that these Slime Monsters were indeed heading for his city, Keze had put the territory on a war footing. All the citizens working in the farmlands outside the city had returned inside.

Because of this, the Slimes encountered no obstacles before reaching the city wall.

"My Lord, should we attack?" the Personal Guard asked nervously, looking at the Slime Monsters below the wall.

"Wait! Let’s see what they’re going to do!"

Keze decided to wait a little longer. Although these Slime Monsters seemed to have ill intentions, what if it was all a misunderstanding?

’If I kill them, wouldn’t I be cutting off my own source of income?’

Besides, Keze didn’t know if his territory could even win against these Advanced Slime Monsters. Judging from the video, each one was at least equivalent to an Exceptional-grade hero.

An Excellent-grade hero wouldn’t be able to handle a Shadow Leopard as easily as these Slimes did.

Individually, they might not be a huge problem, but there were just so many Advanced Slime Monsters here!

There were well over a thousand, maybe close to two thousand of them. Even if they won against so many monsters, each with the strength of an Exceptional-grade hero, his territory would suffer devastating losses.

So, as long as the Slime Monsters didn’t attack, Keze had absolutely no intention of striking first.

Meanwhile, the Bee Swarm Gluttonous Slimes below the city wall were also in a dilemma.

’The Titan Clan People in this territory are so strange!’

’Why aren’t they attacking us?’

’What are they all doing crowded on the city wall?’

’Mmm... whatever. Since they aren’t attacking, we’ll spare their lives!’

’Let’s just go straight to the Lord’s Mansion and take this territory!’

After some consideration, the Bee Swarm Gluttonous Slimes channeled their Telekinesis and began to fly.

Then, before the astonished eyes of Keze and his men, they flew over the city wall and headed toward the Lord’s Mansion in the city center.

In no time, they arrived in front of the Lord’s Mansion.

Seeing the closed main gate, the Slimes sent out a blast of Telekinesis, and the doors flew open.

Then, the Slimes crawled into the Lord’s Mansion and began to capture the territory. (Capturing the point.)
