Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar
Chapter 742: Faith in Holy... No! The Holy Light Betrayed Me! (Part 2)
Lu Wenwu, whose Divine Sense surveyed the entire field, noticed this single-minded fellow, and for some inexplicable reason, his excitement suddenly dropped significantly.
These members of the Church of Light… why do they seem a bit foolish?
Does he not understand such a simple concept that the Attributes of evil and justice counteract each other?
Holy Light can restrain Evil Power, but Evil Power can also taint Holy Light!
This person is just clueless, completely lacking the agility shown during the trial at the Dragon Bone Celestial Tower.
Not to mention the top-level combat awareness and coordination that everyone seems to possess there.
A True Man is not as resilient as the test NPC.
Trying to defy Celestial Spirits here?
He didn’t even actively target them, yet the initially overwhelming force of ten thousand followers was already half destroyed, with deaths and injuries everywhere.
Indeed, in such Fantasy World wars, numbers have little significance.
A single top-tier powerhouse can determine the life and death of countless weaker beings.
Thinking of this, Lu Wenwu felt his current body state and simply stopped paying attention to those followers of the Church of Light.
Even the so-called Near-God Powerhouses have no power to resist when facing Lu Wenwu, whose body is about to complete its transformation.
Their Magic and Divine Art strikes on the Dragon Scales don’t even break through the defense!
Even those so-called Saints who can perform Divine Descent Skill, channeling Divine Power to the Lower Realm, can only manage one strike capable of breaking through the Purgatory Dragon Body’s defense.
After the strike, their life burns out, their Divine Power dissipates, and they vanish completely.
Only Anderson, wielding a Divine Artifact, can truly battle Lu Wenwu, and in less than five short minutes, one man and one dragon have exchanged over a thousand moves!
“What kind of evil, what kind of filthy Power is this!”
Holding the Divine Sword of Judgment, Anderson’s eyes grew brighter, and the Holy Light Power on his body became increasingly Powerful.
“Even the two most evil Demon Gods are trivial compared to the immense Slaughter you have wrought!”
“Where… did you emerge from!”
“From the ground,” Lu Wenwu replied with a wicked grin, “Your current state… excites me even more…”
[Anderson/Executor of the God of Justice and Judgment’s Will (S+~Tier One of Ascension to Divinity)]: 4732 0567/8000 0000
[Cultivation]: Divine Blood Warrior, Pseudo-God (Tier Eight Divine Mage)
[Current State]: Executor of Will, Will Assimilation, Pseudo-Divine Body, Power of Holy Light, Power of Judgment, Power of the Night, Rule Blessing, Divine Power, Calm…
[Analysis]: Driven by Power of Holy Light to wield the Divine Sword of Judgment, induces Descent of the God of Justice and Judgment’s Will, carrying part of Divinity within oneself, Divine Art Realm close to that of genuine Gods, being assimilated by the God’s Will.
“I wonder if beating you up would, by rounding, count as beating up the actual God of Justice and Judgment?”
The Thunderbolt Sea’s range became smaller and smaller, but Lu Wenwu’s aura grew ever stronger, beginning to transform toward a non-human Domain.
The fierce winds and rains stopped unnoticed.
The battle formation below belonging to the Holy Light Court was left with no fighting capacity, only a few half-dead Near-God Powerhouses struggling to survive.
This level of battle is not something they could partake in.
The aftermath alone is enough to flatten them!
Anderson is completely unconcerned about this.
But Lu Wenwu… would he care?
“You brazen Heretic, how dare you insult the Master of Justice and Judgment so!”
From Anderson’s indifferent gaze burst forth astonishing anger, and the russet Sword in his hand became even more fierce in its attack.
Simultaneously, the Balance Scale illusion at the center of the halo behind him began mysteriously solidifying in the battle, forming a nearly substantial, complete Balance Scale.
“Such utterly wicked and evil Demon, in the name of Justice, I decree upon you—Death!”
Suddenly, the Divine Sword of Judgment erupted with unprecedentedly Powerful aura.
As the halo behind Anderson slowly revolved, the pale gold Balance Scale at this moment solidified completely, with Divine Power burgeoning.
At this moment, the last trace of humanity in his eyes vanished completely.
Replaced by a machine-like cold Divinity, devoid of all emotions.
“Holy Light! Cleanse that enemy!”
The falling of the last Thunderbolt appeared to signal something.
The stream of Holy Light released by the Divine Sword of Judgment, linked with Divine Power, pierced through Heaven and Earth, fully enveloping the Purgatory Dragon in an instant.
The vast Power parted the cloud mass entrenched in the sky, letting the blinding “Sun” that had already risen at some point bathe the sea and Earth, akin to a Dawn breaking through the world.
The chill brought by the Blood Sea of Malice was scoured completely by the Holy Light flood.
Without the mass of floating corpses staining the sea red and the chunks of flesh covering the sea surface, this place would be sacred enough to be called a Holy Sanctuary!
That heartwarming Power was soothing the few surviving Near-God Powerhouses, comforting the enormous psychological shadow lingering on their minds.
“Any evil will ultimately be… How is this possible!?”
Anderson’s indifferent expression crumbled instantly.
A sudden surge of shock coursed through him as he stood dumbfounded.
When the Power of Holy Light dispersed and the clouds vanished completely, what hung high above the Firmament was no Sun but Lu Wenwu!
Radiating an aura far stronger than before, having reverted to his human form, Lu Wenwu!
A faint golden Great Sun rose slowly behind him, and the holy yet warm Merit sunlight spilled down, replacing the yet unrisen real Sun, illuminating the darkness of Dragon Island.
“How… are you unharmed!”
Anderson’s expression shattered completely; the formerly emotionless demeanor that treated all as ants, unfazed even by the collapse of Mount Tai, showed not a trace.
The part belonging to humanity seemed to suppress back the Divinity, forcefully halting what was universally acknowledged among the Church as irreversible unification with the God’s Will!
“Impossible! The Judicating Holy Light should have utterly purified all evil, how could it not harm you at all! This state… this state…”
“Why am I unharmed… That’s a good question.”
Having reverted to a human form, Lu Wenwu stood bare-chested, each muscle akin to a masterpiece of marble sculpture, faintly exuding a jade-like smooth luster.
“Perhaps… because I also know this?”
As he spoke, he slowly raised his arms.
Two orbs of Holy Light brighter and purer than those on Anderson emanated, dispersing the cold aura that lingered around the high skies without a trace.
“See, this gentle Light of Order… I also know a thing or two…”
“This is impossible!”
Anderson’s mental defense shattered instantly, his perceptions utterly collapsed, and he felt as if breaking apart completely.
Even the divine intent attached to him seemed to enter a near silent state, and even the blazing Holy Flame atop the Divine Sword of Judgment gradually dissipated.
The consciousness of the God of Justice and Judgment likewise obliterated, disintegrated by this utterly surreal scenario.
A Dragon!
A Dragon with an unfathomable Blood War aura, enshrouded with palpable malice!
A Great Demon long since fallen into darkness!
A Heretic who doesn’t believe in the Master of Light, how could such a being grasp the Power of Holy Light!
The terrifying aura around Anderson vanished instantly, with the part belonging to Divinity crumbling completely, rekindling the light of humanity in his eyes.
That which the world deemed absolutely irreversible—the Divine Descent, the unification with the God’s Will—disappeared without a trace at this moment!
He might be the first follower in this world to survive since the advent of Divine Descent Skill, also the first follower to reclaim his own self from the God’s Will unification.
Yet Anderson himself felt no joy about it.
Like a helpless puppy drained of all its vigor, he abruptly knelt onto the ground.
His eyes vacant, he dazedly gazed at the golden Sun suspended high above, releasing a heart-wrenching howl from his throat:
“Holy Light… betrayed me!!!”
