Chapter 574. A Powerful Stance, Invincible Below Supreme Immortal

They were clearly in the same realm. How could the gap between them be so vast?

The Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal could not understand. If they had been in the Sage Realm or even at a lower stage of the Immortal Realm, such a disparity would not have been surprising. But once a cultivator reached his current level, differences in talent and foundation should have narrowed considerably. After all, which Celestial Seat Immortal had not once been a peerless genius?

Yet the situation before him defied everything he knew. The battle had only just begun, and he had already been completely suppressed.

Trapped within Buddha's Palm Domain, the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal poured all his strength into breaking free, but neither escape nor resistance was possible.

"Why? Why?" His mind churned with questions as he stared at Lu Yuan. "Have you already entered the Supreme Immortal Realm?"

That was the only explanation he could think of. How else could Lu Yuan suppress him so thoroughly? Only a Supreme Immortal should have been capable of such a feat.

Lu Yuan had no intention of answering. He merely regarded the man before him as his aura continued to rise and his powerful blood qi thundered around him.

Just as he had expected, after becoming a Celestial Seat Immortal, his foundation and techniques made him a match for all but Supreme Immortals.

Lu Yuan was naturally pleased with his newfound strength, but nothing more. He knew that the enemies awaiting him in the future would likely be even more formidable.

Without dwelling on it, Lu Yuan looked at the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal and slowly said, "You slaughtered countless living beings and destroyed the Teleportation Dao Platforms. Those are your crimes. Tell me, was Earth and the Milky Way Starfield your true target?"

For now, he only wanted to confirm the two forces' objective, so he did not immediately deliver the killing blow.

"They were nothing but ants. I killed them because I wished to. What makes you think you have the right to pass judgment on me?"

Anger flared within the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal. Although he was at a disadvantage, he remained one of the most powerful figures in the Xuanhuang Cosmos. To him, Lu Yuan's interrogation was a blatant insult. How could he tolerate it?

"You're right. In my eyes, you're also an ant," Lu Yuan replied calmly; every word was laced with killing intent. "So what if I question you? Even if I kill you now, it will mean nothing."

He was treating this Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal exactly as the man had treated those ordinary living beings. The only difference was that this time, the powerful Ji Clan expert was the ant.

"You!"

The Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal was furious, yet he could offer no retort. In the face of overwhelming strength, he really was no different from an ant. Even so, he continued struggling desperately against his restraints.

"I only need you to answer one question. Yes or no?"

As Lu Yuan spoke, another wave of power swept out from him. Buddha's Palm Domain shuddered as its force intensified, and crushing pressure descended upon the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal.

Crack!

His bones shattered under the strain.

A Celestial Seat Immortal's physique was sturdier than a star, yet it still crumpled beneath the force of a single thought from Lu Yuan.

By now, Lu Yuan carried the commanding presence of one who stood unrivaled.

"You... You really intend to kill me?"

The Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal could hardly believe it. Throughout the long history of the Xuanhuang Cosmos, very few Celestial Seat Immortals had ever been slain, especially one of his status. Countless living beings would bow before him on sight, yet his life was now held in another man's hands, and there was nothing he could do.

The realization filled him with terror, which only deepened when he recalled Lu Yuan's identity. In just a few years, Lu Yuan had already reached a level where he could threaten the entire Ji Clan. Unless a Starfield Lord appeared, there might be no one in the present universe capable of opposing him.

Why had they provoked such a terrifying existence?

"If you refuse to speak, so be it."

Lu Yuan had hoped to draw out a useful clue, but whether the man answered made no difference. His fate was already sealed, and Lu Yuan had no intention of asking again.

His gaze sharpened as his aura rose to its peak. Then he extended a hand and lightly closed his fingers.

Crack!

Buddha's Palm Domain shattered in a violent burst of power, tearing the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal apart and scattering his blood across space. He could not resist in the slightest.

The manifested domain soon faded, but the Celestial Seat Immortal had not died. He reconstituted his physical form, his face deathly pale and his frame trembling uncontrollably. His aura had weakened to the extreme.

Though he had survived, his injuries were so severe that he was already half-dead. The gulf between them was simply too great.

Even so, a Celestial Seat Immortal was not so easily killed. Lu Yuan had expected as much. His expression remained calm as power gathered within him once more.

Sensing mortal danger, the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal finally showed fear and tried to speak.

Unfortunately, Lu Yuan's patience had run out. He had no intention of granting the man another chance.

Lu Yuan slowly threw a punch imbued with the power of Celestial Seat laws. Before the Ji Clan's Celestial Seat Immortal could react, boundless force engulfed him.

His soul and physical form vanished in an instant, leaving not even the faintest trace behind.

The blow tore open a massive void rift in space. Under the influence of spatial laws, it would slowly mend itself.

After everything was over, Lu Yuan drew a deep breath. This battle had given him a rough measure of his current strength. Below the Supreme Immortal Realm, he had no equal.

Even if a Supreme Immortal attacked, Lu Yuan would not hesitate to face them. He might not win, but neither would he die.

That was the extent of his strength now.
