Chapter 791: Chapter 535: Barbaric World and Catastrophe-Level Molten Giant Dragon

The acrid stench of sulfur was so thick it was nauseating.

’Something’s wrong!’

Alarm bells blared in Raylo’s mind.

’It’s a trap!’

The very instant the thought arose, a heaven-shaking, earth-shattering roar erupted from the magma lake below.

ROAR!

BOOM!

The entire magma lake violently exploded!

A colossal head, incomparably huge, rose defiantly from the sea of lava.

It was a Giant Dragon composed entirely of molten rock and Obsidian!

It was likely over a thousand meters long. Golden-red magma flowed over its body, and with every breath, it spewed scorching sparks and black smoke from its nostrils.

Its eyes were twin pools of burning magma, filled with a tyrannical will for destruction.

A Catastrophe Level Magical Beast!

The Molten Giant Dragon!

"Damn it!"

The color drained from Mage Morpheus’s face.

This Molten Giant Dragon was clearly not to be trifled with.

Awakened in its own lair, it had sensed the intruders’ presence and was instantly thrown into a frenzy.

The entire volcano trembled violently with its roar.

At the same time, from massive caves lining the mountainside, ferocious heads began to emerge one by one.

They were smaller Magical Beasts, but their auras were just as powerful.

There were molten pythons wreathed in Blazing Flame, winged Flame Demon Bats, and colossal Flame Elements the size of hills...

A quick count revealed over a dozen Domain Level Magical Beasts!

This place was a massive Magical Beast nest!

SKREEE!

A sharp screech tore through the air.

Dozens of enormous Flame Demon Bats launched the first attack. They spread their wings, forming a cloud of fire as they charged recklessly toward Raylo and the others floating in midair.

"A bunch of brainless beasts courting death."

A cold snort broke the tense standoff.

It was Mage Wendel.

He didn’t even glance at the charging Flame Demon Bats. His messy hair whipped wildly in the heatwave as his gaze remained fixed on the most massive of them all—the Molten Giant Dragon below.

With a flick of his sleeve,

WHIRRR!

A palm-sized, unadorned Melting Furnace flew from his sleeve, growing larger as it met the wind.

In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a furnace as massive as a mountain, hanging above their heads.

The furnace mouth opened, aimed downward.

An endless torrent of Flame poured out like a celestial river bursting its dam!

The Flame seemed capable of igniting space itself.

The dozens of Flame Demon Bats at the forefront were reduced to ash in the fiery torrent before they could even let out a scream.

The sea of Flame continued downward, blanketing the entire volcano.

The Magical Beasts that had just poked their heads out of the caves revealed looks of absolute terror, trying to flee back into the depths.

But it was too late.

In an instant, the sea of Flame submerged everything.

The entire volcano, along with all the Magical Beasts within, was completely devoured by the inferno.

One strike cleared the field!

This was the might of a top-tier Legendary Mage!

However, the true threat had not yet been eliminated.

ROAR!

From within the sea of Flame, the Molten Giant Dragon let out an even more furious roar.

It spread its giant wings, its massive body charging skyward against the torrent, forcibly resisting the terrifying Flame.

At that moment, Mage Delin also made his move.

He lacked Mage Wendel’s explosive power. He simply raised his hand calmly and pointed toward the night sky.

"Starfall."

He whispered a single word.

Instantly, high in the night sky, more than a dozen Stars in the unfamiliar river of stars began to flash with intense light.

The next second, over a dozen cold streams of starlight tore through the night, leaving long trails as they plunged down with unerring precision toward the massive shadow in the sea of fire below!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

More than a dozen resplendent streams of starlight struck the Molten Giant Dragon’s mountain-like body with perfect accuracy.

Each impact blasted a huge hole in its body of Obsidian and molten rock. The clash of cold starlight and searing magma produced a deafening roar.

ROAR!

An enraged roar transformed into a physical sonic storm, sweeping across the entire sky.

The sea of Flame below was forcibly suppressed, shrinking under the force of the roar.

The Molten Giant Dragon was thoroughly enraged by this series of attacks.

The tyrannical will in its magma-filled eyes was almost tangible.

What flowed from its wounds was not blood, but an even more violent surge of magma. This magma fell into the sea of fire below, acting like fuel to the fire and making the Flames burn even more fiercely.

Mage Wendel frowned, a hint of impatience on his face.

"This beast’s hide is damn thick."

With another wave of his sleeve, the great furnace floating in the air flared with light again, seemingly preparing an even more terrifying strike.

ROAR!

The Molten Giant Dragon clearly sensed the threat from above.

It refused to be a passive target, suddenly opening its massive maw—large enough to swallow a small mountain.

A dark red Fireball over a hundred meters in diameter, formed from highly compressed magma and destructive energy, rapidly took shape in its throat.

The temperature of the entire area skyrocketed once more!

The very air began to distort and burn.

"Don’t waste time here."

Just then, Mage Delin’s voice rang out.

He glanced at the Molten Giant Dragon below, gathering its power, and then at the battle-hungry Mage Wendel.

"Taking down a Catastrophe Level Giant Dragon will take considerable effort."

"Our target is the Hydra."

Mage Delin’s words were like a bucket of cold water dumped on Mage Wendel’s head.

Despite his fiery temper, he instantly understood the stakes.

Their mission was to be swift and secretive, to catch the Hydra completely off guard.

If they got bogged down in a fight to the death with a native Catastrophe Level Magical Beast, even if they won, they would expend immense energy. Not to mention, the commotion would be enough to alert the entire Barbaric World to their invasion.

If the Hydra went into hiding after that, finding it would be even harder.

"Hmph! I guess this beast is lucky!"

Mage Wendel snorted, agreeing with Mage Delin’s assessment.

"Morpheus!"

Mage Delin looked to Morpheus at his side.

"Understood!"

Mage Morpheus didn’t hesitate.

The Space Magic Ball in his hands was already shining brilliantly.

"Give me ten breaths!"

"Alright!"

Mage Delin and Mage Wendel exchanged a look, reaching an instant, unspoken agreement.

Almost simultaneously, both Mages acted.

They were no longer launching world-ending attacks, but instead shifted to defense and control.

"Star Cage!"

Mage Delin extended a hand toward the Molten Giant Dragon charging up from below and gently clenched his fist.

In an instant, the power of the starlit sky was roused. It formed countless silver chains of light that materialized from all directions, weaving an inescapable net as they wrapped around the Molten Giant Dragon.

On the other side,

"Melting Furnace, retract!"

Mage Wendel let out a low shout. The mouth of the giant furnace turned, no longer spewing Flame but generating a terrifying suction force instead.

The churning sea of fire below, along with the massive Fireball spat out by the Giant Dragon, was pulled by an invisible force, forming fiery vortexes that funneled back into the furnace!

Even the magma lake from the volcano below was drawn up as if a celestial river were flowing in reverse, sucked into the Melting Furnace in the sky.

For a moment, an incredibly bizarre scene unfolded in the sky.

Above, a cage made of countless Star Chains tightly bound the Giant Dragon’s massive body.

Below, the great Melting Furnace, capable of containing all fire, absorbed the Giant Dragon’s attack completely.

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!

The Molten Giant Dragon struggled frantically. The Star Chains strained and creaked under its Giant Strength, and cracks began to appear on the chains of light.

It was a Catastrophe Level existence, after all, fighting on its home turf with a seemingly endless supply of Power.

Even the combined control of two Legendary Mages couldn’t hold it for long.

But this brief stalemate was enough.

"It’s ready!"

Mage Morpheus’s voice called out.

A silver vortex had appeared in the space before him.
