Saul couldn't help but be flustered.

"A modified pistol, you say?"

The last words left by the client before his death confused him, but he had no time to dwell on them any longer.

"Grr!"

"Ugh!"

Screams from the detectives that had accompanied him burst out in succession. Any attempt to aim downward was met with gunfire and splattering blood.

"What the hell is this..."

He clenched his teeth.

No matter how important the Agency's reputation was, it wasn't more important than the lives of his agents.

"Tend to the wounded! We're retreating!"

"Yes, sir!"

"Urgh...!"

Fortunately, none of the detectives had died. Still, saul did not consider it luck.

"Wa-wait! Retreat?"

"You're just going to leave like this?"

Other clients questioned him with reproachful looks. Saul answered with a hardened expression.

"The shooter's skill is beyond what we expected. They specifically incapacitated the detectives by shooting their arms. Clearly, they know that killing outright would only cause more trouble."

If any agents had died, the others would have been burning with thoughts of revenge. But now, with comrades bleeding and groaning at their side, it was no surprise if morale was shaken.

And that was not the end.

"We have no chance at victory."

If everyone had been intact, a coordinated opening volley might have given them a shot. But tending to the wounded cost them the opportunity for simultaneous fire.

"We have to regroup and wait for the next opportunity. Clients, you should get out of here, too."

With those words, saul backed away, loading the injured onto horses. As they drew away, the remaining hunters were left disoriented.

"Huh, they're really leaving us?"

"A pistol that can snipe—what is going on..."

As the hunters muttered, a realization dawned on them.

"Wait, didn't the stream sniping guy know about this?"

Of the three, two had even received tips about Lee Gyeongbok's channel. But then, why hadn't anyone mentioned the modified pistol?

As that fact dawned, a gunshot rang out and someone fell.

"W-what..."

The one who pulled the trigger was none other than the stream sniper. He turned the muzzle to the last remaining person and said,

"Sorry, but it had to be done."

His face, accompanied by a casual shrug, betrayed no remorse.

"To be honest, I was already part of another team before I met you all."

"So that means..."

"I was just planning to hang around and then rob you guys, but the detective story got to me."

He scrunched his nose, rolling his eyes.

"If it worked out, I'd have just joined up with you, but clearly, I'm no match for Purple. Don't take it personally."

"You... you're just so cowardly—!"

"Hey, isn't this what the Wild West is all about?"

Cutting off the protest, the stream sniper pulled the trigger.

* * *

Amid the sound of gunfire, Gyeongbok inferred the situation with his divine energy.

"The detectives pulled out and now there's some sort of infighting, huh?"

His viewers chimed in agreement.

― Haha, you really think they were going to fail? Hilarious!"

― Time for political maneuvers!"

― Seriously, probably turned on each other blaming everyone."

― If you're going to do politics in the Wild West, you better risk your life."

― Either that, or they got betrayed, Lol."

― Did Genome Kick come out?"

― Possible. They failed the request, so probably want their money back."

― Oh, true. Backstab here and run home alone to take the refund, lol."

― This is exactly the Wild West, haha."

Gyeongbok crossed the river and climbed up the hill. There, the corpses of hunters and masterless horses wandered aimlessly.

"These horses are more loyal than you'd think. My horse just bolted right away, though."

― Instant run angle, huh?"

― Maybe smarter that way?"

― Haha, that's how it's gonna be if you keep riding Godple around."

― High IQ horses, lol."

As soon as the first shot rang out, Gyeongbok's horse had bolted. He caught another one and mounted it.

"Alright, as planned, I'm heading back to retry the unlocked mission."

He turned his horse back in the direction he had come. As question marks flooded the chat, he explained,

"Still, I'm a proper outlaw. I can't just take it lying down, can I?"

Spurring his horse, Gyeongbok returned to the gang encampment. The boss welcomed him.

"Oh, changed your mind?"

"No, I just have a favor to ask."

"Hm?"

Gyeongbok handed back the gang's bandana.

"There's someone I want you to take care of."

"Whoever it is, they sound like bad news."

As the boss twisted his lips, a list appeared beside him. Gyeongbok selected the participant's name he'd remembered.

"Alright, I'll make sure he can't set foot in this area again."

The viewers were thoroughly satisfied.

― Hiring a whole gang, lol."

― Perfect revenge, haha."

― While hunters hire detectives, godple moves the entire gang, Lol."

― Reverse bounty's crazy!"

― Black Company outsourcing, omg."

― Roderi's fun even online, huh?"

Gyeongbok finished up and mounted his horse again.

"Let's get moving."

* * *

The place where the new mission was unlocked was one he knew well.

"Feels like it's been ages since I was here."

It was the port city of New Noir, with the vast sea stretching out before him. Gyeongbok used the minimap to step into a shabby saloon.

There, he found someone even more familiar than the city itself.

"Jerry?"

― What the—why is Jerry here?!"

― How did the atmosphere get so dark?"

― 5252, did he go full dark side or what?!"

― Not the Jerry we knew, huh?"

Both Gyeongbok and his viewers expressed their surprise at Jerry's presence.

"That look—were you a bank client?"

"Yeah, something like that."

"Well, forget about it. I hate even thinking about my days as a banker."

Displeasure was clear on Jerry's face.

"Damn, there I go remembering again. Those damn bankers, made me a slave just 'cause a single paper went missing! Worse than those Confederate sympathizers, I swear."

"Paper? You mean the Lancaster Ranch debt note?"

"What, did you run a background check on me or something? Well, yeah. I must've boasted while drunk everywhere. There's no way I can pay off that debt in my lifetime. So what can I do? Give some consulting based on what I heard and saw while working at the bank. Wouldn't mind if the bank just went bust, actually."

As he spoke, jerry poured himself a glass.

― Info: If you take the outlaw path, you help Lancaster, and Jerry takes the debt.

― Full dark Jerry, wow."

― Using his background as a bank robbery broker, I see."

― I knew from the way he advised Alex in the story, haha."

― Let's rob them."

― Who'd expect a schoolgirl robber meme to show up here, Lol."

― Are you Namgung hyung?"

― Thanks, outlaw Wagon!"

While the viewers pieced together the plot in chat, jerry downed his glass in one go, let out a light burp, and then propped his chin as he spoke.

"Anyway, if you know already, this'll be quicker. I'm looking to recruit people—interested?"

"I'd say I am."

"Good. But you have to be extra careful. As you probably saw on your way here, there's the Federal Marshals here in New Noir. Trying to rob a bank here is no joke."

As Jerry spoke, three slots appeared before his eyes. Miniature outlaw figurines moved within each slot.

"So, four robbers for the bank. Fortunately, you can even hire NPCs."

― Wow, even loners can do team missions!"

― Roc&Roll: Always grateful!"

― Honestly, getting a full party is tough with only players, haha."

― Yeah, online game raid parties say it all."

― Don't you know the pattern?"

― Didn't even watch Q-tube first, huh?"

― So many places recruiting experienced newbies, Lol."

― Basically a newb filter, haha."

While the chat buzzed, jerry continued.

"I'd go with getaway and demolitions experts and two gunmen. What are you good at?"

"Uh..."

As Gyeongbok rolled his eyes, the chat burst out laughing.

― Haha, he's good at everything."

― Just ask what he can't do, it'd be quicker!"

― If it's something he's not good at, just say 'none' and move on."

― Even Jerry, the former banker, doesn't understand efficiency?"

Gyeongbok chuckled. His hesitation wasn't about which role.

"Is it possible to do this solo?"

"... What?"

Jerry's eyes widened in disbelief. The chat's reaction was much the same.

― What?"

― You're saying you'll rob the bank alone, lol."

― Bro? Are you for real?"

― It's a team mission, dude!"

― Kingflex! Making it hard for yourself again!"

― But with Godple, maybe he could? I hate that I'm hopeful, lol."

― If you're a perfect-sense holder, maybe."

Sadly, jerry was an owner of ordinary(?) common sense.

"What kind of nonsense is that?"

"Knew it wouldn't work. Okay, then I'll do it this way."

Gyeongbok quickly filled the three slots. But Jerry's attitude didn't change much.

"Three getaway experts? Were you even listening to me just now?"

With a sigh, he downed another drink.

"Hey, maybe this is your first time, and you just don't get it. Seriously, think carefully, okay?"

Jerry's worried look made both Gyeongbok and the viewers laugh.

― Even as a dark Jerry, he's still a softie."

― He could just take the fee and leave."

― Isn't that basically an insult?"

― Hyung? He's giving you a chance, maybe you should switch."

― Godple always has a plan, though."

Gyeongbok didn't change his mind. Jerry finally sighed, shaking his head.

A little later, he brought three outlaws to Gyeongbok.

"What's this?"

"This is it?"

"What are you trying to pull?"

They initially reacted like Jerry.

"I'll explain the plan—then you decide."

As Gyeongbok laid out his plan, they slowly nodded their heads.

― Is this actually going to work?"

― If it's Godple, it'll work! It just will!"

― If he succeeds, it's legendary."

― Then hey, it's already a success, lol."

― Eh?"

― He's Godple—so it's already legendary, haha."

The viewers were just as convinced.

* * *

The New Noir Bank.

Gyeongbok casually opened the door and walked in. He was alone, no other outlaws beside him.

"Alright, let's get started."

With that, his hands moved. In one hand was a pistol; in the other, a lasso.

As shots rang out, the guards' pistols were knocked aside by bullets, while another was snagged by the lasso and retrieved right into Gyeongbok's hand.

"It's a—robber!"

The few customers scrambled out in panic, but Gyeongbok paid them no mind, leveling his gun at the startled, frozen guards.

"Why are you just standing there, not running?"

Startled by his words, the guards bolted out.

[05:00:00]

The time limit appeared.

But Gyeongbok didn't hurry.

"Bank manager, are you in?"

Leisurely, he approached the vault door. A well-groomed middle-aged man was trembling.

"I—you'd best run now. T-the Federal Marshals will be here soon..."

He tried to speak bravely, but his voice trembled just as badly. The viewers laughed at him.

― Looked like he was about to run himself, lol."

― Bank manager couldn't run out in time, huh?"

― Bet he was absolutely terrified, though."

― No one would dare rob a bank with the Federal Marshals around."

― And yet it's happening, lol."

Gyeongbok leveled his gun at the manager. The man shook even more.

"The vault, please?"

"N-no, I absolutely c-c-can't. N-no matter what you do to me!"

"Still, I appreciate the professionalism. Not that I expected it."

Gyeongbok grinned and pressed his ear to the vault. Then, he placed his hand on the dial lock.

"What are you..."

"Shh."

With one hand training the gun, he focused. His sharpened senses picked up the minute clicks inside the locking mechanism.

After a few smooth turns of the dial—

"H-how did you...?"

Click—the vault opened.

― Holy crap, he actually opened it."

― Opened it so fast!"

― This is insane, lol."

― Even in movies they at least use a stethoscope!"

― Truly perfect-sense!"

― I can't even believe what I'm seeing, lol."

With awe running riot in the chat, Gyeongbok flashed an unconcerned smile. Then, quickly pulling out a prepared sack, he began sweeping stacks of bills inside.

"I'll be gentle with the gold bars. Wouldn't want to dent them."

As he piled the bars into the sack, someone entered the bank.

"The sheriffs are coming! Damn, we might have to abort— Wait, what?!"

It was the getaway expert he'd hired. He stammered, seeing the open vault, Gyeongbok, and the full sack.

"No way, already?"

― Kingni Godseur?"

― This NPC's reaction is so real, lol."

― Is this really an NPC? Not a player infiltrator? Lol."

― Do you know Purple? Best robber I've ever seen!"

― Madam Jeong arc, let's go!"

Gyeongbok gestured with his chin.

"Weren't you in a hurry?"

"A-ah! No, it's more than enough! Way more than enough!"

There were three minutes left.

In only two minutes, he'd opened the vault and swept up the loot. The getaway expert shouldered the sack with a huge grin.

They rushed out and loaded the sack onto the carriage he'd prepared.

"Let's go!"

"Great!"

But not long after the carriage started to move, the sheriffs caught up.

"There they are!"

"After them!"

Gyeongbok wrinkled his nose.

"So the countdown was the time until the sheriffs could seal off the bank, huh."

But it wasn't a problem.

Instead of heading out of the city, the carriage raced towards the docks.

"Here they come! Hurry up!"

"Over here! This way!"

The getaway experts, who'd been smoking among the dockworkers, immediately waved their hands.

"We've got a tail! Hurry!"

"Good, let's split up here!"

The second escape plan Gyeongbok had prepared was a fishing boat. Not just one, but two.

Splitting into pairs, they launched the boats with the sacks onboard.

"They're making for the open sea!"

"Damn it! Get a boat, now!"

The sheriffs yelled furiously and fired their guns, but by then, the distance from the port was too great.

― Swim after them, lol."

― Just wasting bullets at this point."

― Federal marshals' level, haha."

― No boat, you're out!"

The getaway expert raised both hands and cheered.

"We did it! We actually pulled it off!"

"Enjoy it, but keep focused on the helm."

"Oh, don't worry about that! I'll get us to safety—trust me."

Laughing, he pointed ahead.

"If we stick to the coast, there's a spot that connects to the river. If we head up that way and split up, that's it. Since we took the boats, they'll think we escaped to Galleon Island, but they'll be dead wrong."

The chat was delighted by the explanation.

― As expected, godple's perfect plan!"

― Robbed a bank in just five minutes, lol."

― And nobody even got hurt!"

― That was insane, lol."

― In before 'clean hands' meme!"

― Hyung! Thanks for being (mostly) lawful!"

With all the praise, Gyeongbok smiled modestly.

"It's nothing special. As you saw, pretty simple. Just open the vault by listening closely."

― If only it were that easy!"

― So much Purple confidence, wow."

― Hyung, did you have to steal our 'dignity' too?"

― What does a pride robber even mean, lol."

― 5252! All you need is the troopers' hearts to be stolen!"

Gyeongbok chuckled at the comments, his hands still busy.

"Well, let's check the income from the mission."

Having escaped successfully, the value of the dollars and gold bars he'd secured would be reflected in the calculation.

When the tally came in—

[1. Purple – $4271.6]

[2. Mason – $653.9]

[3. Franklin – $579.2]

[...]

He had topped four thousand dollars.

― Whoa, what the—!"

― Isn't the prize over five million won now?"

― This is insane... lol."

― A smurf adding prize money all on his own?!"

― What's with this growth rate, haha."

― Is this PurpleCoin?"

― If only my stocks grew half as fast, sob..."

― Even if they take 10%, it's still huge profits, lol."

The chat erupted into festival-like excitement, but Gyeongbok's expression soon hardened.

Noticing the change, the viewers wondered what was up, but he took cover behind a wall rather than explaining.

A moment later, gunfire erupted from all sides.

"Now I really can live out my days in leisure—!"

The getaway expert, giddy with success, fell into the river, his words cut short.

― What the—?!"

― Dead?!"

― Did the sheriffs catch up?"

― What happened, what happened?!"

― Is this a festival or a funeral?"

― Why did someone literally die?!"

The mood flipped 180 degrees from just before.

"It's not the sheriffs."

Amid the bewildered chat, Gyeongbok drew out his modified pistol.

"I expected this from the start. After all, it's a perfect chance for Federal Marshals and the bounty hunters to get me."

At his words, the viewers instantly realized who the attackers were.

"You all work pretty fast."

Gyeongbok flashed a grin.

"Stream snipers, welcome."

It was a welcome message to the bounty hunters who had been watching his every move.
