Chapter 723 - 723: Media Interviews

Inside the home theater, Haruno sat on the couch with the remote, choosing a movie for the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Utaha and Yukino sat behind Ichin. After he took off his shirt, the two of them quietly examined the scratches on his back.

Looking at the several obvious claw marks, Yukino frowned and turned toward her sister.

"Big Sis, no matter what, you shouldn't have done this."

Haruno stuck out her tongue and replied, "I didn't want to! But it really hurt! Don't tell me it didn't hurt for you and Utaha too?"

The two fell silent for a few seconds before Yukino finally said, "Even so, you shouldn't scratch him like this. They're even a little swollen. I'll go get some ointment."

With that, she hurried out of the room.

After carefully inspecting the scratches, Utaha looked at Ichin.

"Ichin, does it hurt a lot?"

Ichin smiled. "As long as nothing touches them, it's fine."

None of them wanted to get up.

Ichin naturally had no objections. Since it was still early and none of them had anything else to do, the four simply stayed there and took a two hour nap in the home theater.

When they woke up in the evening, nobody felt like cooking.

So they ordered takeout and had a simple dinner.

While eating sushi, Haruno gently nudged Utaha beside her.

"Utaha, I'm sleeping alone tonight. Ichin's all yours today. I need to recover a little."

"Really?"

Utaha nodded.

"That's fine."

"But Haruno, I think we should seriously discuss how to divide Ichin's schedule over the seven days of the week."

"Then tonight belongs to you, Yukino. Haruno, let's sleep together tonight and chat."

Haruno took a bite of her New Orleans chicken wing and smiled.

"Sounds good."

She was naturally delighted.

After she left the office, Utaha looked at Ichin curiously.

"What made you decide to accept interviews?"

"And Bloodborne has entered its promotional phase. These interviews are practically free publicity delivered right to our door. We'd be wasting the opportunity if we turned them down. The two gaming websites I picked are both pretty influential."

"As for the magazine, it's Famitsu."

"None of them are small outlets."

"Oh~~"

Utaha nodded in understanding before glancing at the shirt Ichin was wearing.

"When the interview happens, are you going to wear a formal suit?"

"Definitely not." Ichin laughed.

"I'm a game developer. I don't need to look overly serious."

"Something casual is fine."

"Besides, in all these years, have you ever seen me wear formal business attire in the office?"

"Of course..."

"If you want to see me in a suit, I don't mind."

Utaha thought about it before shaking her head.

"No, I think you look just fine like this."

At that moment, Yukino pushed open the office door, carrying freshly brewed coffee.

After Utaha told her about the interviews, Yukino poured everyone a cup before saying,

"That's actually a great opportunity. They're all gaming related media with a wide audience."

"But we should review their interview questions beforehand. We can't let them ask absolutely anything."

"Don't worry." Ichin smiled. "I know."

"Hazuki knows too. She'll handle the communication."

Sure enough, by that afternoon, Hazuki had finalized everything with the media.

The interviews were scheduled for the following day. She also delivered the list of questions from all three outlets. Ichin looked through them and found nothing problematic.

He then began thinking about how he wanted to answer.

The questions weren't unusual.

Most focused on the games currently in development, his future plans as a developer, and his thoughts on the current state of the gaming industry.

None of them were difficult for Ichin.

He simply drafted all of his answers in advance.
