Chapter 722 - 722: The Hotel

At 8:30 p.m., the banquet came to an end.

Ichin and Haruno left the hotel, where the Yukinoshita family's chauffeur handed Ichin the keys to the car outside. The two then got into a Maybach and began the drive back to Tokyo.

As he drove, Ichin asked, "Are we really not going home to see your parents?"

"No need." Sitting in the passenger seat, Haruno smiled. "It's already late, so I won't interrupt their time together. These past two years, since I started taking over the family business and Yukino found the path she wants to pursue, Mother no longer has to worry about either of us. Because of that, she and Father have had much more time to spend together, slowly rediscovering what they had when they were younger."

She paused before adding, "Otherwise, I'd honestly worry that their relationship would gradually grow distant over the years. That wouldn't be good. As for going home, we can visit before Yukino starts school again."

"That works."

Ichin nodded before handing his phone to Haruno.

"It'll still take a while to get back. Why don't you book a hotel first? We also need to get you a change of clothes."

Haruno was still wearing her evening gown from the banquet, so she definitely needed to change. Ichin, on the other hand, didn't mind staying in his suit. Wearing one outside wasn't an issue, especially since the evening weather was much cooler than during the day.

"Okay, leave it to me." She smiled.

"As for clothes, that's easy. I'm a VIP member at several designer boutiques. I'll just call one of them and have them prepare an outfit for me."

Haruno quickly booked a room at a five star hotel in Tokyo. Afterward, she called the manager of one of her favorite clothing stores and asked them to prepare a change of clothes so they could simply stop by and pick it up.

Two hours later, they finally arrived back in Tokyo.

After collecting the clothes, Haruno changed into casual attire inside the boutique. She also had the staff prepare a set of clothes for Ichin. He didn't change immediately, instead bringing them to the hotel to wear the next morning before heading home.

Now...

It was finally time to go to the hotel.

However, on the way there, Haruno suddenly looked at Ichin.

"Ichin... I'm hungry."

"Hungry?"

He thought about it for a moment.

During the banquet, they really hadn't eaten much. At home they usually had rice along with several dishes, but tonight they'd only sampled a few appetizers, drank a couple glasses of juice, and eaten some fruit.

Now that Haruno mentioned it, he realized he was getting hungry too.

"Want to grab something? But it's already ten thirty... what should we eat?"

Without hesitation, Haruno answered,

"McDonald's!"

"...Alright. McDonald's it is."

Changing the route on the navigation, Ichin drove to the nearest McDonald's. After ordering a pile of food, they finally headed to the hotel. After checking in, they took the elevator up to their room on one of the upper floors.

"Whew~ Finally, I can relax~~"

The moment she sat down on the sofa, Haruno eagerly opened the McDonald's paper bag, took out a hamburger, unwrapped it, and happily started eating.

"Ichin! Come eat too!"

Closing the door behind him, Ichin hung up his suit jacket before looking at her.

"I'm not that hungry yet. You go ahead. I'll take a shower first. Just leave me some."

Watching Ichin disappear into the bathroom, Haruno blinked.

After swallowing the bite in her mouth, she took another big bite before wrapping the burger back up and placing it aside.

She waited outside for about two minutes.

The moment she heard the shower start running...

She immediately pulled open the bathroom door and dashed inside.

"Wait... hold on!"

When Ichin woke up again, it was already past nine in the morning.

After fooling around in the bathroom the previous night, the two had finished most of their now cold McDonald's before returning to the bedroom, where they continued spending the rest of the night together.

Although Haruno and Yukino were sisters, Haruno's stamina was noticeably better. Even though it had been her first time, she had been astonishingly energetic and enthusiastic throughout the night.

As Ichin shifted slightly, a sharp sting spread across his back.

Haruno had scratched him quite a bit the previous night, and the marks were still there.

After grimacing for a moment, he turned over and saw Haruno sleeping peacefully beside him.

She was facing him, both hands resting gently in front of her chest, sleeping soundly.

Seeing her peaceful expression, Ichin smiled.

Slowly, he reached out and pulled her into his arms. Although his movements were gentle, Haruno had already slept for quite a while. It wasn't long before she slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing herself nestled in Ichin's embrace, Haruno showed none of the shyness of a young girl.

Instead, she leaned forward, kissed him lightly, and smiled.

"When did you wake up?"

"Not long ago."

"Maybe ten or fifteen minutes."

Holding Haruno close while gently stroking her smooth back, Ichin asked with a smile,

"Did you sleep well?"

"Very well."

Haruno boldly traced her fingers across Ichin's chest and abs.

Women weren't much different from men. They appreciated an attractive body just as much.

After a while, she looked into his eyes and asked, "Do you think... there might already be a baby?"

"Uh... probably not?"

Although they hadn't used any protection the previous night, Ichin had still tried to be careful.

Still...

Nothing was ever one hundred percent certain.

Haruno's eyes sparkled mischievously as she poked his cheek.

"But... what if there is?"

"If that happened..." Ichin answered without hesitation,

"Then we'd have the baby. There's no way I'd ask you to get rid of it."

"Right?"

"True."

Haruno nodded in agreement before thinking aloud,

"Though... I am at the age where I should start having children."

She looked at him with bright, sparkling eyes.

"What do you think about me going first next year?"

Ichin smiled.

"I don't have any objections."

"But I think you should discuss it with Utaha and Yukino after we get home and decide who goes first."

"It'll probably come down to you and Utaha. Yukino still has graduate school to finish."

"Alright!"

"We'll talk about it after we get home!"

With that, Haruno pulled the blanket over them, hugged Ichin tightly, and closed her eyes again.

"It's still early. I'm going back to sleep. Wake me up before noon."

Seeing how determined she was to stay in bed, Ichin simply let her be.

Instead of going back to sleep himself, he picked up the phone from the bedside table. Holding Haruno in one arm, he casually scrolled through his phone with the other.

At noon, the two finally got out of bed and had lunch in the hotel's restaurant before heading home.

Pushing open the front door, Haruno cheerfully called out,

"We're back!"

Utaha and Yukino had just finished lunch themselves. They were sitting on the sofa, playing with the cats while watching television.

The moment they saw Ichin and Haruno return, the two immediately walked over.

Utaha pulled Yukino along until they stood in front of Haruno. After carefully looking her up and down, she asked,

"Haruno, did you succeed?"

Haruno simply grinned and gave them a confident thumbs up.
