Chapter 442: Kiara’s Arc Begins (2)

When Faye got to the gym, the first person she saw was Malo sitting on the bench, holding a heavy ice pack tight against his mouth. Bambi was busy over by the counter, watching trending short videos on the computer screen.

There were no actual customers in the building for the day.

Malo saw Faye walk in through the doors along with Beam and Kiara, not registering the last part though, still angry about the punch.

"Hey, Malo, wassup?" Faye waved at him as she smoothly fist-bumped Bambi at the counter and dropped her backpack, which Bambi picked up right away and put aside.

Then Bambi smiled bright when she saw her girlfriend, Kiara, walking right behind Faye, along with her new friend, Beam.

"Wassup, wassup. Look at what you literally did to my mouth. It’s all swollen up, and it’s completely not healing at all..." Malo said, lowering the ice to reveal his swollen, dark red mouth.

"Ouch, that must have hurt bad. Maybe next time you don’t go and eat someone’s last bag of chips..."

"How was I supposed to know that was your last bag of chips? And I also always give you my favorite donut filling without complaining, and I don’t punch you right in the face for it. Or that time you ate my last favorite donut, I didn’t say a single word to you..." Malo said, pulling a teary face.

"Sorry about that. You were kinda just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Princess really doesn’t like you hanging around there much anyway..."

"Why though? I literally used to live in that house when it was just a Friday night club. I even have my own private room there."

"Yeah, but that room has been turned into Princess’s private cinema space. Don’t worry, buddy. I will definitely make it up to you soon. I will buy you two boxes of donuts with the exact crust and filling you like..." Faye said, trying her best to cheer him up.

Then she pierced her finger and gave him a few quick drops of her blood so he could heal up quickly.

"Looking as good as fresh..." Malo said, admiring himself in the large gym wall mirror. His swollen mouth was completely back to normal in seconds, and he was proudly showing off his shiny white teeth.

Faye looked all around the empty gym floor, realizing that two of the main girls were not in the building today. Even the Sensei was out of the building because it happened to be his official day off.

"Where are Sasha and Haley today?" Faye asked, turning back to the group.

"They are not coming in today at all. Sasha and her big sister are currently out on some mandatory sibling bonding time, and Haley is busy at home. Her dad is back home, and they are discussing her college plans. She is graduating next year."

"Oh, I completely forgot about that whole thing... Haley is actually going to college next year..." Faye muttered under her breath, her eyes dropping slightly.

"Yeah," Malo said, nodding along.

Then he walked over much closer to Faye, lowering his voice into a whisper.

"You know I purposely made sure I don’t get the top score on the board this year just so we can both be seniors together next year. And as besties, we are gonna totally rock da school. No Alpha Princess or any of the Trios around. Just me, you, and Sasha as official high school students. The brand new Trios," Malo said with pure pride, as if he could already see the vibrant future playing out, imagining himself and his best friends ruling as high school seniors.

Then Kiara snorted loud and burst out into a mock laugh from the bench.

Malo snapped his head over to look at her, finally taking in the fact that Kiara was actively sitting inside the gym.

"Faye, what on earth is she doing here right now?"

"We are doing something very important today, that is the exact reason why she is here. And by the way, just ignore her completely. Pretend she is not even here..." Faye said, her eyes staring hard at Kiara.

She was really, really hoping Kiara wouldn’t open her big mouth and tell Malo about her and Princess leaving town for good or that she was actually graduating early next year.

"And what is Beamer Frost doing here with you guys?"

"Also ignore her too. Pretend none of them are here. By the way, I’m famished right now. Should I order donuts or burgers? It’s completely on me today. Bambi, do you want a burger?"

"Yes, chicken burger with a lot of extra cheese and, um... a chilled Sprite. Friend, do you want a burger too?" Bambi said cheerfully, turning her head to look straight at Beam.

"Friend? Since when on earth did you two become so close?" Kiara asked, her eyebrows raising as she pointed her fingers back and forth toward the two of them.

"We are officially one week old now as friends. Beam is super cool," Bambi said with a wide smile.

Beam just gave her a quiet, simple thumbs-up from the doorway.

"Oh my God, I seriously need a fucking drink right now. Faye, add twelve cans of cold beer to whatever you are ordering right now..." Kiara called out loudly from her seat.

"Are you actually going to pay for them? I am strictly ordering food for Starpants and Co, and you are not part of Starpants and Co..." Faye said, pulling out her smart phone to order.

"I am dating one of you guys, so... I should naturally have special privileges here, and I think I also have a gym membership here

.."

"There is no such thing as privilege for relationships like yours or a customer..." Malo muttered under his breath.

"Shut the fuck up, MG. No one is talking to you..."

"Faye, kick her out right now or I am personally going to kick her out of this gym," Malo said, stepping up.

"I am not the one currently having relations with her. Ask her actual girlfriend to handle her," Faye shot back, tapping her screen.

"You are the one who invited her here in the first place, so..."

And the two best friends started going endlessly back and forth at each other, arguing across the room until Faye finally gave in and ended up ordering food and drinks for everyone just to keep the peace inside the gym.
