Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 388: Inside Haley’s Garage
Inside Haley’s garage, the air felt heavy and quiet. Everyone was present: Faye and her friends, Princess, and even Kiara.
Right in the middle of the room sat Bambi. She was tied down to a iron chair with thick silver chains wrapped tight around her body, completely unconscious.
She did not look as bloody or beaten as she had when Faye saw her last. Someone had cleaned her up, and she was now wearing clean clothes that Haley had given her.
"So, how long has she been unconscious?" Faye asked, her voice quiet as she stepped closer to the chair.
"Since the moment she died," Malo replied, not taking his eyes off Bambi for a second.
"She hasn’t woken up at all? Faye is wide awake now. According to Doctor Jacqueline, they were supposed to wake up around the same time," Princess said, she could remember the doctor words.
"We do not want to take any chances," Malo said, his voice flat. "The last Beta Faye created ended up killing people, and I am definitely not ready to watch that happen again. I’m too young to die.. I haven’t experienced anything great in my 17 years of living and I’m not ready to go out as a virgin..."
Dark shadows hung under Malo’s eyes, making him look like someone who hadn’t slept in days. He was holding a baseball bat tightly in both hands.
If Bambi woke up and started acting like a ruthless killer or a mind-crazed zombie, he was fully ready to swing and beat the hell out of her.
Even though he was terrified, he somehow summoned the courage to stand right there near the front. Deep down, though, he knew the truth. If anything went wrong, he was going to turn around and run as fast as his feet could take him.
Running away had always been his first instinct whenever things got ugly. And will continue to do so..
"Uncle Pali gave us a special potion," Haley explained, holding up a small glass bottle. "Every 5 hours, we have to inject her with 5 mL. But MG has been doing it every 5 hours just to be safe."
"It’s a lot better than just standing here waiting for her to wake up crazy," Malo said, his fingers tightening around the bat handle as he kept it aimed at the girl in the chair.
"I honestly don’t get why everyone in this room is so afraid," Sasha said, leaning against a workbench. She was calmly eating a taco that Jessie had brought over earlier, completely unbothered by the chains. "When I became Faye’s Beta, I didn’t kill a single soul."
"Purple girl, you were basically a test subject who just happened to turn out fine," Malo said, glaring at her. "And don’t pretend you don’t have that killing instinct inside you. We literally saw you ripped a guy’s heart out without thinking twice."
"That was completely different," Sasha argued, taking another bite. "I was protecting Faye. We are all werewolves here. Our absolute first instinct is to kill, it’s a good thing we all go to camp for control. And Peamah rose up from the dead and ended up becoming our ally. See? That’s the good part."
"That still doesn’t explain why he killed people right after his resurrection," Malo snapped back.
"That’s because he belongs to a completely different kind of wolf line," Kiara said, her voice cutting through their argument from the side of the room.
"The Frost Family always has a hard time controlling themselves. They have a long history of killing people simply because they got angry. That’s why you never make a Frost mad. If you do, you will get ripped apart in seconds."
Kiara was leaning casually against one of the cars parked in the garage. She was staring down at her fingers, pretending to be deeply fascinated by her fancy fingernails.
Everyone stopped talking and turned their heads toward her, finally acknowledging that she was actually standing right there in the garage with them.
"Why is she even here?" Faye asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked at Kiara. "She isn’t part of our group."
"Really? You’re still refusing to accept me?" Kiara asked, dropping her hand and looking directly at Faye. "I’ve been nothing but nice to you this whole time. What is it going to take for you to finally let me into your little circle?"
"Where is the book?" Faye demanded, ignoring the question entirely. The absolute last thing she remembered was Kiara promising to bring them that book, saying that once she had it, then they would sit down and talk.
"I’m working on that..." Kiara said....
"Why are you trying so hard to get into their circle anyway, Kiara?" Princess asked, turning her head to look straight at her so-called friend.
"It’s personal," Kiara replied smoothly. "I’m just trying to find a better alternative."
Princess stared at her, not understanding why Kiara wanted to be close friends with Faye and her group so badly. But she knew one thing for certain. Kiara never did anything without a hidden motive.
She always moved for a reason.
"Anyway, the main reason I am standing here right now is because the girl you all chained up like some wild beast happens to be my girlfriend," Kiara said, pointing toward Bambi.
"And as her girlfriend, I am here to look after her."
"Oh, really?" Princess let out a sharp laugh. "Then where exactly were you when your girlfriend got shot?"
"And where were you when your precious darling threw her life away to save my girlfriend?"
The tension between the two of them spiked instantly, ready to explode into another loud argument.
"Okay, cut it out. Do not do that in here," Faye said quickly, stepping right between them to stop the back-and-forth before it started.
"This is my circle. You two can go argue all you want when you’re back in your own circle."
"She’s waking up!" Haley suddenly shouted, stepping back fast.
Down in the iron chair, Bambi’s fingers twitched against the metal armrests. Her head rolled slightly to the side as she began to stir.
"Where is the syringe?" Malo panicked, his voice high as he reached toward the table, getting ready to inject Bambi before she fully opened her eyes.
"No," Faye said, reaching out to stop his arm firmly. "That’s enough. Sasha, untie her right now."
Malo looked at her like she was crazy, but Faye kept her voice steady and solid.
"I am right here," Faye said, taking a step toward the chained girl. "I am her Sire. She will listen to me from now on."
