From Trash to Treasure: The Sinclair Family's Beloved Genius
Chapter 433 - 431: Furious Enough to Grab a Stick
However, what Nina Sinclair didn’t know was that in the entertainment industry, while top-tier celebrities were popular, it was veteran thespians like Yara Garrison who were the true royalty.
A top-tier celebrity’s fame might fade, and ten years later, a new generation of fans might not even know their name.
But a veteran thespian was a figure who would be etched into every audience member’s mind for years to come.
Whether you were a teenager or middle-aged, you would always remember them when you looked back.
They became a memory that would never fade.
Of course, Nina Sinclair didn’t voice these thoughts out loud.
Perhaps feeling embarrassed after being scolded, Nina Sinclair kept her head down and said nothing.
Although the farmer felt bad about his radishes, the young woman looked like she was on the verge of tears, so in the end, he said nothing more.
However, this scene drew a great deal of backlash.
Comments Section—
"Fuck, Nina Sinclair really went too far this time."
"I really don’t get what’s going on in her head. If you don’t want to do the work, then don’t come on the show. Showing up with that disgusted look on her face... does she really think making money is this easy?"
"I have no love for Nina Sinclair. She’s young, yet she only managed to pull a dozen or so radishes in half an hour. Even the older veterans are faster than her."
"This episode is definitely different from the previous ones. But since Nina Sinclair chose to be on the show, she shouldn’t voice her complaints. And what did that poor farmer do to her? Why be so aggressive? I guess you don’t feel bad because they’re not your radishes, huh?"
"It was heartbreaking to see the look on that farmer’s face. He doesn’t make much money selling vegetables, and now his radishes are all bruised and broken. It might be less than a few dollars’ worth of produce, but it still hurts to watch."
"If that was my dad in the video, I’d book a flight home and go fight Nina Sinclair right now."
—
Although Nina Sinclair didn’t want to continue working, she wasn’t shameless enough to go home and rest while everyone else was working so hard.
But knowing someone would be coming to help her later, she had an idea and decided to simply slow her pace.
Her face, however, grew pale, and she said weakly, "I’m sorry about earlier. I’m on my period, so I’m not feeling very well."
Her pitiful act made it difficult for anyone to rebuke her.
Yara Garrison just gave her a long, hard look before bending over to continue her work.
Meanwhile, Chloe had already finished pulling up all the radishes in her section.
She looked up, stretched her aching back, and gave it a twist.
Behind her, Gabriel said with concern, "Chloe, you should take a break. Don’t wear yourself out."
Gabriel was thoroughly impressed, noticing that there wasn’t a single drop of sweat on Chloe’s face.
He had barely pulled up a tenth of his radishes, and he could hardly straighten his back.
But Chloe shook her head, glanced at the small patch of land that remained, and said, "It’s fine. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can call it a day."
With that, she buried her head and got back to work.
Perhaps influenced by Chloe, Gabriel’s pace also picked up considerably, and he was snapping far fewer radishes in half.
He just barely managed to pull into third place.
This was something no one had expected.
Chloe was incredibly fast. Three hours later, she had pulled up all the radishes in her entire plot of land.
Next, she grabbed a basket, loaded all the white radishes from the field into it, and then asked a staff member to help her move it onto the terrace.
After finishing her own task, Chloe took just a quick sip of water before heading back down into the field.
Gabriel grew anxious. "What are you doing? Go back and rest!"
Chloe was the fastest of them all and had worked the hardest.
’If she was going to help other people now, at the rate she was going, wasn’t she going to work herself to death in this radish patch?’
"Be good. Your brother and Mr. Beckett are here. We’ll definitely get this work finished before dark."
But Chloe shook her head. "I’ve done the math. At everyone’s current pace, we won’t finish before dark."
With that, she looked at Gabriel and said, "Stop dawdling. Work."
Gabriel was stumped and immediately shut his mouth.
Hailey Beckett, who was nearby, laughed heartily and teased, "Your sister is just looking out for you."
Gabriel stiffened, tilting his chin up haughtily. "My sister always dotes on me."
Hailey Beckett was speechless.
’How could such a shameless person exist in this world!’
With Chloe joining him, Gabriel’s pace was unconsciously boosted as well. In less than an hour, the two of them were completely absorbed in their work.
Not long after, Hailey Beckett also finished her task.
