"Hello, Young Master Li Yang," Yuan Lie said with a slight smile.

"Hello," Li Yang replied with a nod.

"I’d already heard of you back in my clan, Young Master Li Yang, the genius from the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall."

After speaking, Yuan Lie looked at Li Yang and added, "I now consider you my goal, Young Master Li Yang. I hope I’ll have the chance to face you in a match someday."

As he said this, a hint of battle lust flickered in Yuan Lie’s eyes. He was clearly eager to see just how powerful the Human Race’s most monstrous genius truly was.

"Face you in a match?"

Hearing his words, Li Yang simply smiled. "No, thank you. I have no intention of fighting."

At Yuan Lie’s words, Elder Lie Shu frowned and said, "Yuan Lie, do you know who Young Master Li Yang is? Do you think you can just challenge him whenever you please?"

He then turned to Li Yang, his expression apologetic. "Young Master Li Yang, this Yuan Lie is a martial arts fanatic and has always seen you as his goal. Now that he’s finally met you, he can’t help but want to test his skills. I hope you don’t mind."

In response, Li Yang said calmly, "It’s fine."

’I really have no intention of fighting. I’ll just accept the inheritance and leave. I can’t be bothered getting entangled with the geniuses of the Star Moon Race, nor do I have any interest in showing off and putting them in their place.’

’How powerful am I now? I can already kill a Late World Realm expert!’

’This Yuan Lie before me seems to still be in the Star Lord Realm. My strength can absolutely crush him.’

Seeing Li Yang’s refusal, Yuan Lie seemed to have expected it. He said no more, simply stepping behind Elder Lie Shu and turning his gaze to the Star Moon Stele.

Just then, the Star Moon Stele’s test began.

"Let the test begin!"

A Star Moon Race elder announced. A young man in black armor then stepped forward.

The young man walked up to the giant stele and placed his right hand directly on its surface.

HUMMM...

Instantly, a ripple emanated from the entire Star Moon Stele, followed by the appearance of a white light. This light began to rise rapidly: ten meters... twenty meters... thirty meters...

In the blink of an eye, the light reached over a hundred meters. Upon reaching that height, it turned black. The light continued to rise, and when it reached the two-hundred-meter mark, it changed color again, this time turning blue.

However, the light stopped somewhere between black and blue, never fully changing to blue.

"Lu Di. Talent: Black-Blue. Rank: Third-Class."

The Star Moon Race’s Deity elder announced.

Hearing the announcement, the young man in black armor clenched his fists in disappointment before stepping back.

Li Yang watched but didn’t see any Cultivation Techniques, weapons, or other items appear from within the Star Moon Stele.

He couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Elder Lie Shu, how exactly does the Star Moon Stele determine Talent? I heard before that it can also bestow treasures."

Hearing Li Yang’s question, Elder Lie Shu explained with a smile, "Li Yang, the Star Moon Stele’s Talent ranking is quite simple. The stele has a total of seven colors: white, black, blue, cyan, red, gold, and purple. They correspond to heights of one hundred, two hundred, three hundred meters, and so on, up to a maximum of seven hundred. The higher the light reaches and the further along the color spectrum it gets, the stronger one’s Talent."

Elder Lie Shu smiled and continued, "As for how one receives a boon from the Star Moon Stele, as long as you can light up the cyan light, you are guaranteed to be granted a Cultivation Technique, a weapon, or some other boon."

After speaking, he glanced at Yuan Lie behind him and added with a smile, "Five years ago, when Yuan Lie was tested, the Star Moon Stele showed red-gold. He also received a powerful Cultivation Technique."

When Elder Lie Shu spoke of Yuan Lie, his eyes were clearly filled with pride.

The Star Moon Stele has seven colors, and gold is the sixth. One can only imagine what kind of Talent that represents!

The fact that Yuan Lie could barely touch it was a testament to his immense Talent!

In the entire history of their Star Moon Race, only two people had ever reached purple. The rest of the strongest geniuses only ever reached gold.

This just went to show how difficult the Star Moon Stele’s test is! Keep in mind, over countless years, it wasn’t just the Star Moon Race; other groups like the Human Race have also come to be tested. Among all those geniuses combined, only two have ever possessed purple-level Talent.

"Red-gold Talent? A powerful Cultivation Technique as a boon?"

Li Yang glanced at Yuan Lie, then asked curiously, "So, can each person only be tested once? Is Talent fixed?"

Elder Lie Shu chuckled. "No. Things like your cultivation progress, comprehension of laws, rate of improvement, and age can all affect the Star Moon Stele’s reading. However, it’s very difficult for the general rank to change."

"I see." Li Yang nodded.

’So the Star Moon Stele can test someone multiple times, and one’s Talent can also change.’

One by one, the Star Moon Race youths stepped forward. Much like the ones before, most of them had black-level Talent, with a few reaching blue.

As the testing continued, the Star Moon Stele suddenly emitted a dazzling cyan light.

"It’s cyan!"

"It’s Yunda! He was tested ten years ago and didn’t even reach cyan back then!"

"This is Yunda’s first time lighting up the cyan light on the Star Moon Stele! He’s definitely going to receive a boon! I wonder what it will be?"

As the cyan light appeared, the crowd erupted in cheers!

Testing Talent was secondary; what everyone really wanted to see was the emergence of geniuses who could receive a boon from the Star Moon Stele!

HUMMM...

The cyan light was incredibly dazzling, enveloping a large area. Then, it gradually faded away, and a sphere appeared in front of the youth who had just been tested.

"It’s a Cultivation Technique boon!"

Seeing the sphere, the crowd instantly understood what the reward was, their eyes alight with excitement.

Li Yang watched as well, feeling quite amazed. ’Who knows how many treasures are inside this Star Moon Stele for it to constantly be giving out boons.’

’After eons, even now, the treasures within the Star Moon Stele have yet to be depleted.’

However, the cyan light only appeared that one time. It did not appear again, and soon, the Talent test for all the Star Moon Race’s geniuses was over.

Suddenly, a youth with purple skin and red mystic patterns on his face, who was clearly from the Human Race, flew out from the crowd. He handed something to the Star Moon Race elder in charge of the test, then came to a stop at the foot of the massive Star Moon Stele.

"It’s a youth from the Human Race!"

"Every time we hold a test with the Star Moon Stele, a few youths from the Human Race show up."

Seeing this human, the many members of the Star Moon Race were not surprised.

The Human Race was allowed to be tested, but they had to pay an exorbitant fee.

If they managed to obtain anything from the Star Moon Stele, it was theirs to keep and take with them.

The Human Race geniuses who came here to be tested were all quite confident, and a considerable number of them had obtained treasures from the Star Moon Stele!

The Star Moon Race weren’t fools. While they didn’t forbid outsiders, they made up for it with the testing fee.

The fee was so high that even a World Realm master would feel the sting. It was estimated that only a faction backed by Deities could afford it.
