"Li Yang, preparations for the Inheritance Path are underway. You should be able to enter in about three hours."

Accompanying Li Yang, Elder Lie Shu said with a smile, "So we’ll have to ask you to wait just a little longer."

The time settings and other parameters for the Inheritance Path have to be configured by us. Once someone enters, it automatically closes after one year.

"Mm, I’m not in a hurry," Li Yang replied with a smile.

’It’s only three hours. I can wait.’

"Since this is your first time visiting the Star Moon Race, I can show you around for the next three hours," Elder Lie Shu offered with a smile.

"Besides, it’s just about time for the Star Moon Stele’s testing period. If you’re interested, we could go and watch."

"Oh? The Star Moon Stele test?" Hearing this, Li Yang’s interest was piqued.

’I’d heard about the Star Moon Stele from Hei Xu before and was a little curious. I was even thinking of getting tested to see what kind of results I could get.’

With that in mind, Li Yang smiled and said, "I have heard about the Star Moon Stele, and I am indeed a little interested."

"Haha, then please follow me, Li Yang. Once we arrive at the Star Moon Stele, you can try the test for yourself," Elder Lie Shu said with a laugh.

’Li Yang’s Talent is immense,’ he thought to himself, ’but he has only grasped the Three-Element Laws of Fire, Space, and Thunder. The Star Moon Stele, however, tests one’s overall aptitude for the Four-Element Laws. Even if Li Yang’s Talent is unparalleled, he’s still missing one law. The reaction he elicits from the stele will inevitably be inferior to that of our Star Moon Race.’

’Over countless years, while geniuses may be rare in any single era, our Star Moon Race has still produced many peerless prodigies. And all of them possessed Talent for the Four-Element Laws: Fire, Space, Time, and Thunder.’

’No matter how strong Li Yang’s Talent is, with only three of the laws, he could never surpass the records on our Star Moon Stele.’

’The Star Moon Race specializes in the Fire, Space, Time, and Thunder Laws, giving us the greatest possible advantage in the Star Moon Stele’s Talent test.’

’Throughout the long ages, the records have always been held by geniuses from our own race. No one has ever been able to break them!’

Elder Lie Shu had absolute confidence in this matter.

"Alright, I’ll be sure to check it out," Li Yang said with a smile, responding to Elder Lie Shu.

The group headed off in one direction.

...

Along the way, Li Yang hardly encountered anyone within the Star Moon Race’s territory.

However, he could hear a clamor of voices in the distance. The sound was boisterous, a clear sign that a large crowd had gathered somewhere.

As they drew closer, Li Yang could finally see the source of the noise.

A dense sea of people had gathered there.

At the center of the crowd stood an enormous stone stele.

The stele covered an area of several hundred thousand square meters and soared more than a hundred thousand meters into the air. It was so tall that one could not see its top at a single glance!

The entire stele was carved with incredibly strange mystical runes. Overall... the monument exuded an air of immense antiquity, as if it had existed for countless ages!

’So that’s the Star Moon Stele, one of the three great fortunes of the Star Moon Race?’ Li Yang thought, a look of awe in his eyes as he gazed at the colossal monument.

It was the ultimate treasure of the Star Moon Race, a people led by a Sovereign. Even an Emperor couldn’t damage the Star Moon Stele in the slightest.

"Haha, Li Yang, let’s head in. My race has specially arranged a seat for you," Elder Lie Shu said with a smile.

’They must have anticipated my arrival and prepared seating in advance.’

’At a grand event like this, you probably wouldn’t find a place to sit if it wasn’t reserved beforehand.’

"Alright," Li Yang nodded.

Following beside Elder Lie Shu, he approached the area around the stele.

Their arrival clearly attracted the attention of the many Star Moon Race members nearby.

"Who’s that human youth with Elder Lie Shu? Why is the elder being so cordial to him?"

Elder Lie Shu is a Deity. He wouldn’t be this welcoming even to a Deity from the Human Race.

However, these members of the Star Moon Race had heard about Li Yang, and they quickly guessed his identity.

"That young man must be Li Yang of the Human Race!"

"Hmph! Li Yang from the Human Race is here to enter our clan’s inheritance grounds!"

"The inheritance grounds only open once every billion years, and only for a single year. Our own race only gets to send one person every billion years, yet this human prodigy Li Yang gets to waltz right in."

"There’s nothing to be done. The Human Race is just too powerful."

...

Seeing Li Yang, the crowd began to murmur amongst themselves. The youths of the Star Moon Race, in particular, clenched their fists.

Even though they knew of Li Yang’s arrival and understood they couldn’t cause trouble, they were still filled with resentment and indignation.

Nearly everyone in the Star Moon Race could comprehend the Four-Element Laws, making them a perfect match for the Star Moon Legacy. They were the ideal inheritors.

Li Yang might have Talent, but he had only grasped the Fire, Space, and Thunder Laws. He was still missing one.

Letting Li Yang enter the inheritance grounds was a clear waste of this opportunity.

However, they couldn’t possibly object to the clan’s arrangements. All they could do was suppress their resentment and channel it into motivation for their own training.

’Hm? Looks like these members of the Star Moon Race have a problem with me.’

Li Yang’s senses were incredibly sharp; he could feel the faint hostility in the eyes of the many young geniuses from the Star Moon Race around him.

’Then again, I did show up and immediately lay claim to the Star Moon Race’s inheritance grounds, an opportunity that only comes once every billion years. I wouldn’t believe it myself if these young people *didn’t* mind.’

Of course, Li Yang paid no mind to the dissatisfaction of the Star Moon Race members.

’I’m here to receive an inheritance, but I have no intention of thanking the Star Moon Race. I only have the Human Race to thank for giving me this opportunity.’

’Without the Human Race backing me, I probably couldn’t have even set foot in the Star Moon Race’s territory, let alone their inheritance grounds.’

"Li Yang, let’s sit here," Elder Lie Shu of the Star Moon Race said, leading Li Yang to a spot where they both sat down.

They were in the front row, close to the Star Moon Stele.

From this angle, the ancient, mysterious aura of the massive Star Moon Stele was even more palpable.

Not even the Star Moon Race themselves had necessarily managed to uncover all of its secrets.

"Alright," Li Yang nodded and took his seat.

Just then, a young man from the Star Moon Race approached. He carried a longsword on his back, and as the surrounding members of his race saw him, their expressions clearly showed their respect.

"Elder Lie Shu," the young man said as he walked up to them.

"Ah, Yuan Lie. You’re here."

Elder Lie Shu looked at the young man, his face breaking into a wide smile. He turned to Li Yang and made the introduction, "Li Yang, this is Yuan Lie, currently the most talented youth of my race."

’Oh? The most talented?’ Li Yang thought, turning his gaze to the young man.

This Yuan Lie was at the Star Lord Realm, just like him.

’Every race has its strongest prodigy. The Star Moon Race is a power led by a Sovereign, so the greatest genius of their people is probably no ordinary figure.’
