"Uh, what you said does make sense."

Crab scratched his head, then chuckled and glanced at Ned and Yina nearby, grinning as he said, "It’s no big deal, even if both of us end up dead, Captain and Yina might survive since they’re just starting to date, haven’t even heated up yet. Dying now would be quite the regret, haha, hahaha!"

Saracha rolled his eyes and backed up a couple of steps, afraid of getting splattered in blood.

"You idiot..."

Though Yina controlled her temper enough not to lash out directly, she still angrily kicked Crab and shouted, "Even if you’ve got no eyes, you should at least be able to hear the noise outside, right? Do you really think we can charge in and leave a complete corpse for Master Lin Dong to resurrect?"

Crab blinked twice, sinking into thought, and a few seconds later he revealed a ’Oh dear, I’m screwed!’ expression, which looked rather amusing.

"All of you, hush up a bit."

Finally, unable to hold back any longer, Ned spoke with a helpless face, and said in a deep voice: "Who do you think gave us this second life? They’ve already cleared our Heart Knot. How can we Fenrir repay this favor? If any debt is owed, it’s me owing you guys... Damn it, Crab, put the axe down, Saracha, stop cracking your knuckles, Yina, quit pulling my hair, damn it, I get it, I won’t mention it again!"

And so, Captain Ned, who tried to bring up old debts and emphasize his obligation to the group, was suppressed.

It was at this point that Yi Dong, who had been standing by the window holding his hands behind him, looking a bit distracted, finally sighed and turned around to the four lively companions: "Speaking of... when did I ever say I wanted you guys to go die?"

Yina pointed naively and innocently to the catastrophic scene outside the second library exit: "Do you need to say it? But Master Lin Dong, I have a small request, could you set up a joint tomb for me and Ned? Although Romeo and Juliet isn’t embarrassing, I haven’t spent enough time with him yet... Hmm, Crab and Saracha can do without, I personally think they’ve had enough of life."

Crab: ...

Saracha: ...

"Sigh, I know you guys are joking around to relieve my psychological stress, not wanting me, the ’benefactor’ entrusted by others, to feel guilty in case of an accident."

Yi Dong shrugged and spread his hands: "But honestly, I’m not under any psychological stress because I can guarantee you won’t die today, understood?"

"To be honest, Master Lin Dong, I don’t quite get it."

Ned scratched his head a bit awkwardly and said frankly: "If I understood correctly, according to the plan, we should soon rush out to battle with the representative from the City of Miracles named Double Leaf, who created that spectacular scene outside the window. We should engage her fully, and if possible, try to kill her, right?"

Yi Dong nodded: "That’s right."

Ned instinctively raised his hand to rub his stubble and asked: "And then you said we definitely won’t die today, yes?"

Yi Dong continued nodding: "That’s right."

Ned’s brow furrowed instinctively, hesitating: "In other words, you’re very confident that the opponent won’t harm us?"

Yi Dong still nodded: "That’s right."

Ned had nothing more to say, and neither did the other three.

"Guys, I have nothing else to say to you."

Yi Dong shifted his gaze, opened the message panel, and continued chatting with someone he had annotated as [Rascal], casually saying: "All in all, just focus on completing the task, after which our owed favors are settled. If you’d like, we can continue working together, otherwise, I’ll try to help you as agreed upon earlier."

Fenrir’s four members fell silent, unsure why they felt weighed down despite being assured the task would be safe and trusting the Master Lin Dong who personally awakened them.

"Oh, by the way, you only need to carry out the pre-arranged plans for five minutes. After that, I’m not insisting."

Yi Dong added, then waved to the four who wanted to say more: "Don’t say anything, just rest up, anything you want to say, there’ll be plenty of time later."

Thus, everyone stopped talking and quietly adjusted themselves, preparing to face the upcoming... perplexing operation.

It was indeed perplexing, like Uncle Deng suddenly being invited to observe the Marine Corps maneuver closely and being promised by the White House that he would be returned safely to the base, able to breathe both coming in and going out, and even take back souvenirs, yet Uncle Deng actually believed it!

Time, under certain circumstances, can pass incredibly fast, as if only a moment had passed, Yi Dong spoke again—

"Go."

Without any specific instructions, just a simple, clear, straightforward notification.

Thus, the four members of Fenrir Team got up one by one and walked out of the ’residence’ Foster had discreetly set up six months earlier.
