Stanley was stunned for a moment and then said, "Why? Five years in college and a whole year on clinical internships. How can you give up just like that? Yvonne, I know you are rich now and don’t have to worry about your livelihood, but are you really willing to give up your dream?"

Stanley looked a little emotional, and his voice was a little louder.

There were many people walking along the corridor, and they subconsciously looked at them.

Yvonne felt annoyed and retorted, "I won’t give up my dream. I just said that I won’t go back to this hospital. Do you understand? Don’t follow me anymore."

Then she turned around and walked away.

Stanley stood there and stared at the young lady. It took him a long time to come to his senses. "She doesn’t want to return, because of me?" he thought.

Stanley shouted at her. "You need to get a termination contract from me. Otherwise, no hospital will be willing to hire you."

"Dr. Levingston, the information of the patient you asked for has been sorted out. Our OB-GYN department can cooperate with the consultation at any time."

At this time, a voice came from behind.

Stanley turned around. It was a doctor from the OB/GYN Department. He slowly took the document, and asked, "I just saw a friend coming out of your office. What is she doing here?"

As he flipped through the documents, he pretended to ask casually.

The doctor was stunned for a moment and asked, "Are you referring to the one just now?"

Stanley nodded.

"Oh, she came for an examination. She should be preparing for pregnancy."

"Be prepared for pregnancy?" he thought.

Stanley narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.

As Yvonne walked to the lobby of the hospital, her husband had been waiting there. Their physical examinations could be finished almost at the same time, so they’d decided to meet there.

She walked over.

"How is it? Have you finished?"

James nodded. "What about you?"

Yvonne nodded and said, "Yes, except those two results of the items won’t come out

until two days later."

"Let’s go back."

As James held her hand, he found that his wife’s hand was extremely cold. He frowned. "Why is it so cold?"

As he spoke, he used his two hands to cover her hand to warm it up.

Yvonne did not want to say that it was caused by her nervousness during the gynecology examination. She quickly smiled and said, "It’ll be fine soon. Let’s go out first."

Hearing what she said, James did not ask any more questions. He took her hand and walked out of the door.

The two of them got into the car. After the car drove out, Yvonne asked, "Honey, what did the doctor say about you?"

James gave her a meaningful smile and said, "The doctor said I’m very healthy. In terms of the vitality of sperms, we may have quintuplets."

Yvonne was amused by him and retorted, "What are you talking about? How can the vitality of sperms have anything to do with quintuplets? It’s determined by genes."

"Yes, our family has the genes of quintuplets. My uncle has quintuplets in his family."

"Really?"

Yvonne was very surprised.

After all, quintuplets were very rare.

"You’ll see them when you meet my uncle." James blinked at her and said.

However, Yvonne chuckled lightly and said shyly but firmly, "But I don’t want quintuplets."

"Why?" James looked over in confusion.

...

"There are too many. My little body can’t hold them all."

Yvonne snorted. "Besides, if I really give birth to five little ones, I’ll be freak out."

The scene of the five babies crying together was too horrible.

She felt terrified just thinking about it.

However, on second thought, she wondered if she was thinking too much. She hadn’t even had one baby yet. Why was she worried about having five?

Realizing that she had been taken astray by him, she couldn’t help glaring at him.

James couldn’t help but laugh. "Are you kidding? My family doesn’t have triplets’ genes. Even if we do, I can’t bear to let you work so hard. We just need one," he said thoughtfully.

Yvonne lowered her head bashfully.

"And, what did you doctor say?" James asked.

Yvonne said truthfully, "It’s all good, but there are still two items, which results will come out two days later."

"Don’t worry, there will be no problem." James held her hand and said. Yvonne nodded. "Hope so."

When they arrived home, it was already past 11 o’clock. Mrs. Taylor greeted them eagerly as soon as they stepped through the door. She was just about to ask something, but she restrained herself immediately and said calmly, "Welcome home, my children."

Yvonne and James nodded.

After the two of them had changed into their shoes, Mrs. Taylor said to Yvonne, "Sweetheart, you must be tired. Go back to your room and get changed for dinner."

Yvonne nodded. She could tell that Mrs. Taylor must have something to ask James, so she went upstairs tactfully.

She was right. As soon as Yvonne went upstairs, Mrs. Taylor pulled her son aside and asked in a low voice, "How is it? How are the examinations?"

She looked anxious. James replied with resignation, "Don’t worry, Mom. We’re all healthy."

Hearing this, Mrs. Taylor finally relaxed. She immediately put her palms together. "Thank goodness."

Seeing this, James was both angry and amused.

"Now you can rest assured," he said.

Mrs. Taylor nodded repeatedly.

"Relax. By the way, Yvonne is not unhappy, is she?"

James was speechless and thought, "Finally, you recall her."

He said, "No, it was she who came up with the physical examination. But, Mom, don’t play petty tricks next time. Yvonne is simple, and you shouldn’t treat her like that."

However, Mrs. Taylor didn’t seem impressed.

"What am I playing at? I like Yvonne from the bottom of my heart, but I also want a grandson. They don’t overlap."

Mrs. Taylor didn’t think she was wrong.

James felt a little helpless. No wonder people said that it was difficult to get along with women.

He shook his head helplessly.

"What? Do you have a problem with me?" Mrs. Taylor questioned.

James thought, "How dare I have an opinion?"

"Nope. Everything you say is correct."

He acted as if he had lost the fight.

Only then did Mrs. Taylor recover her smile. "Great. It seems that I’ll have to tell the cooks to make you something good to nourish your bodies."

Mrs. Taylor muttered to herself as she walked toward the kitchen.

James was speechless. He turned around and went upstairs.

When he entered the bedroom, Yvonne had already changed into her pajamas. She was sitting in front of the table and was looking at something. She did not even notice him coming in.

He walked up to her in confusion and saw her staring blankly at a calendar. Puzzled, he asked, "Babe, what are you doing?"

...

Yvonne was caught off guard by his sudden voice and was startled. She quickly put away the calendar and said awkwardly, "It’s nothing."

She was obviously hiding something from him. James snatched the calendar she was hiding when she was not paying attention.

Yvonne tried to take it back, but he lifted the calendar up high.

He had an advantage in height. Yvonne couldn’t get it back, so she could only give up.

James glanced at the calendar in his hand and found traces of red pen drawing. He asked in confusion, "What do you mean by circled these places?"

Seeing that it had been discovered, Yvonne had to tell him the truth. "they’re the days when I ovulate."

"Ovulate?"

James didn’t quite understand.

Yvonne was a little embarrassed, but she still explained, saying, "It’s easy to get pregnant during these days."

James was suddenly enlightened.

"Then what’s the meaning of the forks?"

"That’s my safe periods," Yvonne said.

"What is that?" James was confused.

Yvonne felt annoyed. He really didn’t know anything. She paused for a moment and then said reluctantly, "It’s not easy to get pregnant during these days."

James didn’t quite understand.

He had known what was the meaning of those words, but he just didn’t understand why she had marked the days out.

Yvonne could read his doubts. When she thought of no matter what she had to discuss this with him, she said, "Well... I’ve consulted the doctor today. We may have to make plans for our sexual life."

"Make a plan? How?" James was still confused.

Yvonne felt a little embarrassed. However, thinking that she was a doctor herself, she explained, "I have an ovulation every month, and we’ll sleep together during that period."

"How long is your ovulation?"

"About three days."

"Three days? What about the rest of the time?"

James was surprised.

He was like a curious baby. Yvonne felt that he was both angry and funny, so she rolled her eyes at him and said, "No sex, of course."

No sex?

James found it hard to believe.

He had long been yearning that the magic would happen, and it came true. But now he was told that the magic would be prohibited!

"No way, one month for three days? Isn’t that too short?" he said gloomily. "How many more days do you want?" Yvonne blushed in embarrassment.

James combed his eyebrows gloomily and muttered to himself, "Except for the menses, 23 days will be better."

"What did you say?"

Yvonne only heard that he was mumbling but did not hear him clearly.

James said, "Nothing. Anything you say, honey."

Although he said so, he was extremely depressed in his heart. If he had known that it would be so troublesome to have a child, he would not let her go for that damn physical examination.

"Then is today a safe period or not?"

He suddenly remembered something and approached her ear and asked meaningfully.

His tone was extremely provocative.

Yvonne immediately understood what he was thinking. She blushed and immediately said to him, "See the calendar."

After saying that, she stuffed the calendar into his hand and got up to leave with a red face.

Looking at her leaving figure, he was confused and then looked down at the calendar in his hand.

Instantly, he understood. It turned out that magic would only happen in those days.

"Come on! Next month? That is so long!"

Thinking of this, James held his head sorrowfully.
