Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband

Chapter 359: You Have To Get Used To It In The Future

  • Next Chapter

"What are you doing?" James asked. Yvonne said, "First aid. She passed out."

James chuckled lightly and said, "Have you ever heard of a nympho in need of first aid?" Yvonne was stunned.

"Let’s go. You have to get used to it in the future." James said, pulling her away. Yvonne didn’t come to her senses until she was dragged into the elevator. But she couldn’t understand. Although she had been a nympho before, she did not go so far. So it must be that the receptionist had a weak heart. Yes, it must be her heart. Thinking about this, Yvonne made a silent decision. She should buy a bottle of quick-acting heart-relief pills and give it to the poor girl.

James didn’t know what she was thinking. He was only secretly observing the expression on her face. It seemed that she needed to see more of the world. The two got out of the elevator and walked into the company’s office area one after another. James walked ahead, and Yvonne followed behind him. When everyone saw James, they immediately got up and respectfully greeted him. James only waved his hand symbolically.

Their gaze then fell on Yvonne who was following him and all looked curious. "Who is that woman? Why haven’t I seen her before?"

"I don’t know. Is she the new secretary?"

"I’ve never heard that Mr. Taylor was looking for a secretary."

Everyone was talking about it all at once. Yvonne heard their discussion and felt very uncomfortable. To be honest, she was not the kind of person who had never seen the world. However, it was quite disturbing to be discussed. She couldn’t help but speed up, following James closely. James also noticed her awkwardness and said, "They are just curious. Don’t worry, I will let someone explain it later. They will not talk about it after they know our relationship."

"Huh?" Yvonne was anxious when she heard that James was going to announce their relationship to everyone, " I don’t think we should tell them. They can talk if they want and I don’t care."

James stopped. "What? You don’t want to make it public?" Yvonne shook her head, "No, I just think it’s too early to make it public now."

James didn’t continue to ask, and said, "Okay, it’s up to you." The two entered the office one after another, and James closed the door. "Whatever you want to drink, I’ll let someone send it." He took off his jacket and hung it on the hanger on the side, and asked.

Yvonne was looking around his office curiously, and when she heard him say this, she hurriedly said, "No, I’m here to work. Is there anything you want me to do?" James couldn’t help but chuckle, "There is no rush. You just came here. Get familiar with the environment first. Well, I’ll show you around in a while."

Yvonne remembered the situation just now and hurriedly said, "No, thanks. Do your

work, and I will go around myself." Upon seeing this, James didn’t say anymore. At this time, there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," James said.

The assistant walked in. When he saw Yvonne inside, he was not surprised at all. After all, he was very familiar with Miss White. He politely nodded towards Yvonne, and then said to James, "Mr. Taylor, these are some documents that need your signature. I will put them here."

...

James nodded, but suddenly thought of something, "Show my wife around first. Remember, keep a low profile." The assistant nodded, and then respectfully made a "please" gesture towards Yvonne. Yvonne followed the assistant out.

"Madam, my name is Hammer Sullivan. You can call me Hammer from now on." The assistant introduced himself. Yvonne heard James calling her his wife, and felt very awkward, "Well... Hammer, just call me Yvonne."

Hearing that, Hammer’s face changed, "I’m afraid this is not appropriate." How dare he call Yvonne by her first name!

"There is nothing inappropriate, but if you call me Madam, I feel a little uncomfortable." Yvonne was somewhat embarrassed. Hearing that, Hammer cleverly said, "Then I will call you Miss White. It will be neither high-profile nor rude."

Yvonne nodded and agreed.

"This is the secretary’s room, and this is the pantry..."

After that, Hammer led her around the company’s office floors for a while. After returning to the office, Yvonne only felt that she was confused. The Taylor Group was too big. They had only visited two departments in one morning. It seemed that there were thousands of employees, and she just felt it was like a sea of people. "How about it?" After she came in, James immediately put aside his work, walked to her, and asked.

Yvonne frowned, "There are too many things, and I can’t remember them." She was somewhat depressed. Those medical terms hadn’t confused her so much before.

James chuckled, "You don’t need to remember anything, as long as you don’t get lost in the company." Yvonne thought she couldn’t guarantee it.

It was so difficult!

"Sit down and rest for a while. Look, you are sweating."

As he said, he took out a small pack of wet wipes from his pocket and was about to wipe her sweat, but she stopped it. "I’ll do it myself." She reached out and took the wet wipe from his hand.

James had to withdraw his hand. "There are many departments and staff in the company, but it is very simple. Everyone performs their duties. You only need to remember the connections between the various departments. You don’t need to remember too much."

Yvonne also knew it. She had been to the White Group before, but the White Group was not as detailed as Taylor Group. Many positions were mixed there. Not only was the division of jobs not clear enough, but after something went wrong, they would only blame each other, and there was no order at all. This was probably why the White Group was not as good as the Taylor Group. "Besides, you are not my subordinate. Unlike them, you don’t need to master so much. Well, you can just stay

in the office, drink coffee, and read magazines."

James sat her down on the sofa and offered her a cup of coffee. Yvonne took it but didn’t drink it. She put it on the coffee table, "Then what’s the point of my coming here?"

She disagreed very much. James sat down next to her and asked her about the taste of her coffee. Then he put a piece of sugar into it and said while stirring the coffee, "Of course it makes sense. You are my rock by just sitting here."

He picked up the blended coffee, handed it to her, and smiled meaningfully at her. Yvonne took it, took a sip, and said, "Well... does it mean that I am just a decoration?"

...

"Of course not." James frowned.

Yvonne was somewhat helpless, "Okay, you don’t need to comfort me. Anyway, I still can’t do anything. Forget it, I’ll go back." With that, she got up with her bag and was about to leave, but was stopped by James. "Don’t leave. I’m just joking with you." He laughed.

Yvonne turned to look at him, "Is it just a joke?" James said, "Yes."

Yvonne didn’t believe it. James quickly explained, "I mean, there is no rush and it always takes some time."

Yvonne knew this. She was not in a rush. She didn’t want James to humor her, because she wanted to get involved. Even if she knew that her abilities were limited, she was willing to give it a try. In short, she was willing to make any effort for it. She said, "James, I’m not joking. I want to get involved. I know I can’t help anything now, but I’m willing to learn. Could you give me a chance?"

Seeing her being so serious, James felt a little guilty. If he had known it, he wouldn’t have teased her. "Don’t worry. I will let them teach you slowly, but you have to promise me to do everything within your power."

"Okay." Yvonne nodded.

"Besides, you are my wife. I will support you no matter what you do, but I will not sit back and watch you suffer or suffer any wrongdoing."

"I know," Yvonne said.

"It’s not enough for you to just know it. You have to remember that you are Mrs. Taylor and you can’t wrong yourself." James emphasized it again. Yvonne stared at him, not knowing what to say. She knew James was sincere and nice to her. She also knew that he could do what he had promised her. However, because of this, she was reluctant to marry her at first, because she knew that the two people in a marriage need to give equally. But she and James were never equal. Although the Taylor family and the White family were both commercial families, the White family wasn’t doing well after all, and it would depend on the Taylor family in the future.

Once that time came, their marriage would be no longer a marriage, but a transaction full of calculations. Those calculations would make them hideous and show the ugliest side of human nature to each other. By then, the two would be bored with each other. She didn’t want that kind of marriage. She just wanted a close and equal relationship where they could support each other, and even live a life of poverty.

But now, she was afraid that she was going to be slapped in the face. It turned out that it felt so good to be cared for and loved by someone. Why hadn’t she felt it before? Yvonne just found her a little shameless. Was she worthy of his love ?love?

She lowered her head, suppressing her emotions. "What’s wrong?" James saw her unusualness and asked with concern. Yvonne didn’t know what to say. She had been overthrowing her previous ideas again and again, and it was ridiculous when she thought about it.

She said, "Nothing, thank you."

After that, Yvonne stayed in James’ office, helping him with chores. It was important for a person to be self-aware. Since she could only do some trivial things, she might as well start with these things. One day, she would learn and become better.

These few days, Janice hadn’t been doing very well. As she became more pregnant, her sleep had become a persistent problem. She couldn’t sleep well, and she always woke up easily.
