Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild
Chapter 1060 - 519: Cha’ain
Chapter 1060: Chapter 519: Cha’ain
Now that it’s understood Fafnir and Valarg want to gather the Divine Artisan’s Five Swords by obtaining clues from Ernest, who has been to the Creation Furnace, the matters surrounding this information begin to become clear.
Farlonio mentioned that Valarg is also advancing the dissemination of this information.
Looking at it now, what the Dragon Lord is doing is primarily intended to attract those who want to gather the five swords to come together, thereby naturally bringing the swords to him. The initiation of this process is the opening of the Dwarf Secret Realm.
Waiting for the prey, it’s really a good idea, thought Li Ang.
"So you’re saying, Li Ang and I are bound to confront the Dragon Lord Valarg behind you?" Elaphia said, giving Douding a sidelong glance.
"I wasn’t aware of any secret realm, much less involving demons. I initially thought they simply coveted some ancestral treasure." Farlonio chuckled awkwardly.
"Moreover, with your two’s capabilities, I’m quite certain the odds are high." Farlonio added.
"So Destiny Cold Wave was stolen by Valarg?" Lily asked.
"Not necessarily. It could also have been a really powerful thief; ultimately, the sword just ended up in Valarg’s hand. After all, that was nearly a thousand years ago, and Valarg found his second sword in the ancient treasury of the Ernest family within the last decade." Farlonio explained.
Li Ang glanced at Farlonio. If it weren’t for the Six Dragons’ emergency meeting scaring off Valarg, freeing her from the Obedience Curse temporarily, Passionate Talent wouldn’t have so easily become their asset.
At this point, tracing who stole Destiny Cold Wave without clear information seems impossible.
"The crucial point is the Dragon Race collecting the five swords." Elaphia said.
"I’m afraid it’s the same... demon who’s manipulating the swords." Elaphia continued.
Li Ang paused, but still uttered the word.
Some distance away, members of the Cloudwalkers Guild were momentarily stunned, some had heard the team leader mention the Knight Resolution Council, others, not having met A Xiang previously, knew nothing of it.
Meanwhile, Li Ang’s companions had many leads, which only he could piece together coherently with all the information.
"Demon?" A Xiang paused: "Although Professor Zelas’s method is peculiar, calling it a demon makes sense. But how could such an entity enter Nebis and accomplish all this?"
"I might have some ideas; let’s start by discussing the origins of the five swords," Li Ang suggested.
He glanced again at the five treasure swords beside the campfire.
Due to frequent discussions about them these days, Elaphia hadn’t put them away, using solidified Magic Power to keep them suspended in the center of the camp.
At the same time, the original owners of Bone-Deep Passion and Scorn and Passionate Talent had never willingly let them go, given Elaphia’s personality, she wouldn’t openly admit putting them into a treasure vault.
Passionate Talent, claimed to be Farlonio’s family heirloom, was stored in a lost treasury somewhere in the Ernest family, although Falo’s parents rediscovered the vault, it led her to encounter Valarg.
Destiny Cold Wave ended up in Valarg’s possession throughout history’s long march.
Shocking Divine Soul Light, crafted by Ernest, was gifted to the Thunder Mountain Church’s tomb guardian "Lawrence," whose true identity is Star Soul Thunder Heaven Dragon Bari.
Zen Heart Flowing, preserved by the Divine Artisans through generations, ultimately became the Dome Furnace Association’s treasure. Li Ang, collaborating with the Dome Furnace Association to forge Orichalcum, was gifted this sword.
The origins of these four swords are clear; only Bone-Deep Passion and Scorn, which A Xiang hadn’t elaborated on previously, now needed clarification.
A Xiang scratched his head: "This was actually discovered during a commission for a major aristocrat in the Holy City while in his warehouse. Back then, he said I could choose anything as my reward; he didn’t realize this was a Treasure Artifact, I purely got lucky."
"Who was this major aristocrat?" Li Ang asked.
"Yosain Cha’Ain." A Xiang replied.
"Cha’Ain?" Li Ang asked.
Li Ang and Elaphia exchanged a look; Elaphia’s eye twitched a bit, as she sighed at A Xiang.
"Hey, what’s wrong, what’s wrong?" A Xiang suddenly felt something was amiss.
"Too naive, you thought you got lucky, didn’t you? You even flaunted this sword in front of Yosain; do you think he wouldn’t know it’s a Treasure Artifact? You foolish small fry." Elaphia criticized.
"He’s really bad, though," A Xiang said.
"You must have envisioned a scenario where a bastard becomes the eldest son and lacks judgment, so I picked up a good thing by sheer luck. Even if he discovers it later, as a squandering heir, he can’t hold you accountable." Elaphia continued.
"I-Isn’t that right?" A Xiang chuckled. "Even if it comes to that, there’s no way I’m returning it to him."
Li Ang could sense that the awkward smile on the Celestial Team Leader’s face was intrinsically concerned about his reputation among other Sky Knights; meanwhile, Yosain hadn’t been in his gaze at all.
"That’s exactly what he wanted you to see, or rather, what the person behind the scenes wanted you to see," Elaphia said.
Elaphia folded her arms, stating, "I can confirm this point because during past investigations, I dealt with him frequently, and previously, he wasn’t welcomed by anyone in the Knight Resolution Council. After several meetings, I could almost confirm that you could find any human flaw in this person, he is a purely rotten individual."
"Is it really that exaggerated?" commented a Cloudwalker Guild member.
Every Celestial Group member, having been to the Holy City, had some degree of exposure to Yosain Cha’Ain, hearing the "prestige" of this vice-chair, now hearing this from Elaphia, a Resolution Council member and senior Order Knight, it was slightly explosive gossip.
