Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2689: You Still Have to Support Me and Our Daughter

  • Next Chapter

"Mm."

"Wait, don’t hang up. Chat with me a bit more. It’s so boring being home alone, and at this time, I can’t go anywhere, sigh." Erin Janus sighed, "But the wedding dress you sent me is truly beautiful, much better than those of my girlfriends."

"There’s no need to compare."

"Why not? Even if I don’t compare, they like to compare with me. Why should I let them outshine me? But now I see, my wedding dress is prettier, my wedding is grander, and even my husband is more handsome and capable. They’re probably so jealous in private." As she spoke, Erin chuckled softly, "Looking at it this way, I am truly happy."

Sylvan Cheney frowned, unable to comprehend this kind of happiness.

"Honey, have you thought of a name for our daughter yet?"

"What’s the rush?"

"You’re not in a rush, but I am. Maybe it’s because I’m too idle; being cooped up at home makes me overthink. You know, being pregnant is really boring; I can’t do anything." Erin said with a face full of helplessness as she touched her big belly.

"Doesn’t your magazine need managing?"

"The magazine, huh, I’m too lazy to bother. I’m too lazy to do anything work-related. I’ve handed the magazine over to my secretary. Oh, honey, with you around, why do I need to bother with the magazine? Whether I work or not doesn’t matter, you’re so capable, you can support me, right?"

Sylvan said nothing.

Erin held her forehead, holding the phone, "I won’t disturb your work. Go ahead, you still have to support our daughter and me! I can watch TV at home, don’t worry about me. Oh, by the way, remember to bring me a cake tonight, from the place downstairs of your office."

Erin said a few more words before hanging up.

The maids were still displaying the wedding gown under the lights.

Erin was overjoyed, gently touching the lace and diamonds on the gown with her fingers.

It was truly beautiful.

Sylvan Cheney naturally possessed a charm that made her fond of him, it was worth all the efforts she put into chasing him.

That man was like a tiger or wolf in the forest, a born king, existing for no one but living for himself.

"Put the wedding dress away. Oh, and remind them about the wedding shoes." Erin said.

"Yes, Miss."

"And what about Mr. Evan’s wedding suit, is it ready?"

"Miss, we’re not quite sure about Mr. Evan’s suit; it might not be done yet."

"Oh, I see."

Erin sat on the sofa, eating the fruit the maid had washed for her, and leisurely turned on her tablet to watch videos.

She didn’t like it to be too quiet, and while watching the videos, she kept chatting with the maid beside her. She pointed to the main character in the video and asked the maid, "Who do you think is more handsome, this man or Evan?"

The maid immediately laughed, "Of course, Mr. Evan. Mr. Evan is the handsomest I’ve seen in all these years."

Erin was delighted by the flattery.

Such a man is just harder to conquer, everything else is fine.

She dated quite a few boyfriends before, but they all pursued her, which didn’t interest her much and she didn’t quite like them.

But Sylvan Cheney was the only one she pursued. This man is very different from those second-generation rich kids in terms of personality, temper, and ability.

Nonetheless, such a man was very much to her liking.

The weather in Old York was clear, with warm sunshine and a charming autumn breeze outside the window.

Erin lazily sat on the sofa, eating and watching dramas.
