Chapter 2676: Butler Santana, I’m So Scared...

  • Next Chapter

Butler Santana held Little Clementine, Jasmine Yale was holding an umbrella, their faces were both anxious and tense.

Especially Jasmine Yale, her face was pale, and her eyes were red from worry.

Little Clementine had a fever after being born, but none were serious; this time it was the worst.

It might have something to do with the recent weather.

Recently, the temperature has been fluctuating, quite unstable and unusual, plus it rained last night, making it easy to catch a cold and fever.

She would wake up several times at night to carefully look after Little Clementine, but still, this sudden situation occurred.

"Little Clementine, be good, it’s okay, mama is taking you to the hospital." Jasmine Yale comforted Little Clementine while waiting for a car.

Little Clementine didn’t fall asleep, hearing Jasmine Yale’s words, lazily moved her eyelids, but only glanced at Jasmine and then closed her eyes again.

Her appearance made Jasmine feel even more heartbroken, as if a knife had stabbed her heart.

Her Little Clementine, her beloved baby...

Jasmine touched Little Clementine, the little one was extremely hot.

"Miss Yale, the car’s here." A taxi happened to arrive.

Jasmine sighed in relief, got in the car with Butler Santana holding Little Clementine.

The car headed towards a nearby major hospital.

Jasmine Yale took care of Little Clementine the whole way, fearing a more severe reaction.

"Miss Yale, it’ll be okay, Little Clementine will get better."

"I’m so scared... she has such a bad fever... I’ve heard before that if a fever isn’t treated in time, it can leave serious aftereffects... it might cause harm..." Jasmine was extremely tense, as this was her first time experiencing such an event.

"No, it’ll be fine once at the hospital." Butler Santana kept comforting Jasmine.

But no amount of comfort seemed to work, Jasmine still appeared very anxious.

"Butler Santana, I’m so scared..." Jasmine’s eyes were red, gripping Little Clementine’s swaddling tightly.

Little Clementine remained motionless, usually lively and adorable, loves laughing and playing, but now she was listless, barely willing to open her eyes.

The rain outside continued, raindrops hitting the windows with a "pitter-patter" sound.

Jasmine Yale’s hair was also wetted by the rain, her bangs damp.

The entire ride, she urged the driver to drive faster.

Jasmine’s cold hand held Little Clementine’s burning small hand, giving a gentle kiss: "Baby, don’t be afraid, it’s okay, it’ll get better, good girl, good girl..."

Even while comforting Little Clementine, Jasmine’s voice was filled with infinite exhaustion and urgency.

The little one was tightly held in her arms, reluctant to let go.

The morning sky wasn’t fully bright, coupled with the continuous night rain, it looked gloomy, the whole city shrouded in a layer of gray haze, obscuring direction.

The low atmospheric pressure during such weather made hearts feel flustered and strained.

Jasmine had not even had time to freshen up in the morning, hurriedly threw on some clothes and went out, her hair casually tied into a ponytail.

Her mental state wasn’t very good either.

The car ride lasted over twenty minutes, stopping at the hospital entrance.

Jasmine rushed inside with Little Clementine towards the consultation room, Butler Santana followed closely behind.

"Miss Yale, don’t be nervous, it will be alright."

However, even though she comforted Jasmine, Butler Santana’s heart was still very tense.

Jasmine’s worries were not unfounded, children’s fevers can easily leave aftereffects.
