Fat and Ugly Villainess Wins Back Her Five Beast Husband
Chapter 175: Cooking For Sora
Lukan took the eggs that Lucas handed over, cracked a few into a clay basin, and then mixed them with flour until everything was well combined.
He then poured some lard into a clay pot, scooped some batter with a clay spoon, and carefully drizzled it into the pot.
Before long, a golden egg pancake was cooked by Lukan.
Lucas saw that Lukan had completely replicated what Sora had made before and exclaimed, "Lukan, you’re amazing. This egg pancake looks exactly like Kaelira’s!"
Lukan looked at the pancake in the pot, and a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
It was his first attempt, and he wasn’t sure if it would taste good.
He had made this egg pancake entirely based on his memory of watching Sora make it before.
He didn’t know how it would taste, but it should at least be edible.
When Sora got up, she could directly eat the breakfast he had made.
Sora, watching from the side, was very surprised.
She hadn’t expected Lukan’s learning ability to be so strong. He had learned to make egg pancakes just by watching her a few times.
As she was about to walk over, Ryan suddenly appeared from somewhere, handing Lukan a few silver-white fish.
"Here you go. The females in the tribe said that pregnant ones should drink more fish soup."
Lukan glanced at the clean fish and nodded.
"Just put it aside for now. I’ll make it later."
Ryan nodded in response.
He took a clay bowl from the cupboard and placed a fish inside.
Damien walked out from the jungle, yawning and carrying a few wild chickens.
Seeing everyone busy in the wild kitchen, he smiled and said, "So lively. Everyone is here."
Although he spoke with a smile, no one paid him any attention.
No one responded.
But he wasn’t annoyed.
After casually hanging the chickens on a nearby tree, he leaned against a pavilion pillar and watched Lukan make the egg pancake.
"Is it for Kaelira? How about I help you deliver it?"
Upon hearing this, Ace snorted.
"Why should we be courteous to you? If you want to deliver something, make it yourself."
Ace really had no filter.
His skin was thicker than mud.
Damien stroked his chin and chuckled.
"I’m just afraid you guys will fight, right?"
With so many people here, who knew whose child Kaelira was carrying?
"I’m different. I have a clean slate with Kaelira. If I deliver it, you guys won’t have to fight over it."
"Oh, that’s a lame excuse."
Even so, Damien’s excuse was not enough to convince everyone.
Lucas scoffed from the side.
This scheming bear was also his rival.
He couldn’t be the last one this time.
Damien lazily replied, "What am I arguing about? We don’t even know when Kaelira will wake up. If the egg pancake gets cold, it won’t taste good. It’s better to let me deliver it."
As he spoke, he glanced at the few people busy at the stove.
"Are you guys planning to wait here for Kaelira to come over?"
Everyone knew Damien was stirring up trouble, trying to create discord among them, but they all took his words to heart.
Not to mention, Sora was carrying their child.
They had to deliver something to her.
Moreover, during her pregnancy, their chances of intimacy were even less.
If they wanted to spend more time with Sora, they needed to make her happy.
On the surface, everyone remained calm, but inside, they were all eager.
Damien looked at the few people pretending to be serious and raised his eyebrows.
Were they acting?
They would surely sneak off later.
Sora watched from a distance, initially feeling quite good about it.
Even in her absence, the others could fend for themselves and even learn some cooking skills.
But when she came over, she couldn’t help but pout.
With Damien around, there was never a moment of peace.
He truly seemed to thrive on chaos.
Thinking of what the system had said about his unusual identity, Sora became cautious about what she said.
If nothing else, Ace’s personality would indeed lead him to deliver the food.
Upon hearing this, Sora felt it was about time.
She deliberately made her footsteps louder as she walked over.
"What are you all doing? Have you started eating yet?"
Although she had gotten up late, she wouldn’t feel embarrassed for not cooking for them.
She always believed that she had no obligation to cook for these beastmen.
If she wanted to cook, she would.
And if she didn’t, she wouldn’t.
Everything was based on her own feelings.
So when she walked over, she was quite confident and had even thought about how to respond if they got angry.
To her surprise, when she got closer, the beastmen paused, looking at her for a long time without uttering a word of blame.
Moreover, Ace kindly handed her chopsticks.
"You must be hungry. We made egg pancakes together."
At this moment, Lukan handed over the egg pancake, smiling as he looked at her.
"I wonder how it compares to what you made."
Sora was slightly taken aback as she looked at the golden, crispy egg pancake in front of her.
Although she had watched Lukan make it, seeing it with her own eyes surprised her again.
This pancake was truly perfect.
If it weren’t for the fact that Lukan had never made it before, she would have believed it was his first time.
Sora picked up her chopsticks, took a piece, and put it in her mouth.
The dry, crispy texture instantly spread across her tongue, and the taste was almost on par with what she made herself.
Lukan looked at her with a smile.
"How does it taste?"
Sora nodded.
"Not bad. It’s almost the same as what I make."
Lukan’s smile deepened upon hearing this.
Ace looked at Sora, who had eyes only for Lukan, and rushed to take credit.
"I picked the wild onions."
Lucas also didn’t forget to add, "I washed the wild onions and cut them."
Sora looked at the two of them, who were acting like children showing off their achievements, and smiled at them.
"You both did well."
