Chapter 2781: Chapter 1192: Symbiotic Relationship_3

Due to the Magic Goddess agreeing with the views of her first mother, Sulun, coupled with the increasingly powerful Mother Earth Shantiya under the nourishment of the sun, the three combined forces heavily damaged the Goddess of the Night, relegating her to dwell in darkness for countless centuries.

Thus, Toril was bathed in light and warmth, providing fundamental conditions for the proliferation of countless lives.

They were not the sole deities birthed from the Divine War between light and darkness, as many deities can trace their origins to this epic conflict.

The first storm generated by the Divine War culminated in the Storm Lord Talos, who became the Main God of the Fury God Lineage.

The warfare and combat concepts produced by the Divine War gave rise to a multitude of Gods of Combat, among whom was Tempus. As history progressed, he defeated all other Gods of Combat in battle, absorbing their Divine Nature Force. Plunderer Karazgos was the last one.

Oghma, the God of Knowledge, was the first wise being to cross planes and arrive on Planet Toril, bringing knowledge to this realm.

Lathander, the Lord of the Dawn, emerged at the moment the sun sparkled, tearing apart the first rays of dawn from the primordial darkness.

Such examples are numerous within the Pantheon of Faerun.

Of course, there are undoubtedly many fictional and interpretive elements, especially in this creation myth, which remains highly debatable.

However, according to Gaven’s personal experience, those groundbreaking contributions related to intelligent life, if capable of accumulating substantial Divine Nature Force, indeed have some precedence as the first.

If promoted vigorously in conjunction, it would basically be a sure thing.

"Thank you, master/sir, for the enlightenment naming." The two enlightened Purple Worms gleefully declared, "We will definitely not disappoint the master/sir’s expectations of us."

Their enlightenment knowledge packet comes from Gaven and the Earth Bear, meaning they do not possess all the knowledge the Enlightener has.

However, when it comes to inheriting divine-related expertise, they are crystal clear, naturally aware of the significant value in what Gaven previously stated.

Putting other matters aside, as long as the Tunnel Builder Casirio assists Gaven in constructing Faerun’s first underground railway, being elevated to the status of demigod will be guaranteed.

Gaven will not hesitate to share this honor with him.

After reaching a consensus with these two enlightened Purple Worms, Gaven turned towards the dark tunnel and shouted loudly: "Come out, no need to hide anymore, these Purple Worms will no longer pose any threat to you." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

The response Gaven received was endless cold silence.

As if he was just shouting into thin air.

"What? Do you really need me to command these Purple Worms to open a passage leading to your Mushroom People commune for you to believe that what I said is true?" This time, Gaven didn’t just shout but used his powerful telepathic ability to transmit his thoughts to all directions.

Because he suddenly remembered, those wise fungal creatures do not possess hearing; they engage in telepathy with humans using perception spores.

It’s unclear whether Gaven’s words worked as a threat or due to changing the way sound was transmitted.

Rustling sounds came from the darkness.

Before long, a figure emerged from the darkness—a bizarre humanoid creature.

At a quick glance, one might have mistaken it for a mushroom, although this mushroom was enormous, comparable to an adult human.

More uniquely, beneath the mushroom cap were a pair of arms and two shiny black eyes, and the lower half of the main stalk split into two thick, short legs, with human-like fingers and toes on both the arms and feet.

He carried a woven backpack of unknown material slung across his body, bulging, while his empty hands were held cautiously out in front as he advanced forward.

Evident to the astute observer was the fear reflected in his eyes.

This fear was clearly directed towards the giant creatures at Gaven’s side.

After all, to him, the Purple Worms were their nemesis—absolute dominators and hunters in this area. Encountering them in the wild meant there was simply no escape with their short legs.

Yet, for the sake of his commune and its people, he felt compelled to investigate the cause of the anomaly at this location.

Normally, Purple Worms rarely congregate; their gathering could signify breeding.

Five Purple Worms already spelled immense disaster for their commune.

Should their numbers double, no matter how prolific they were in birthing, or how much they expanded surrounding caverns, ultimately, they would be devoured by these Purple Worms entirely.

However, what their investigations revealed was completely beyond their expectations.

Typically arrogant and invincible except that their Mind Meld Illusion could barely mislead them.

Yet, confronted by a group of unknown invaders, they were utterly powerless, captured in a few exchanges like children’s toys.

Furthermore, the developments that followed surpassed their wildest expectations.

Not only were the Purple Worms subdued and controlled, but they were also endowed with even greater strength, enlarging the two adult Purple Worms double their size.

Mother Fungus above.

One adult Purple Worm already had an enormous appetite, capable of consuming three leaders from the Mushroom People Faction without being satisfied.

When an adult Purple Worm doubled in size, couldn’t it devour six, no, looked at that body size, it seemed even ten might not suffice.

However, what was most terrifying wasn’t its enlarged body, but its display of extraordinary wisdom.

Wisdom was their last advantage; even with the commune’s Mind Union Illusion Technique they could barely confuse these Purple Worms, urging them to stay away from their community.

Once stripped of this final reliance, their community would inevitably become prey for the enemy to rear, to be slaughtered at will.

The Mushroom Person emerging from the darkness evidently seldom interacted with outsiders, not proficient at masking his expressions, with almost visible tragic emotion etched onto his face.

Yet Gaven didn’t find it amusing in the slightest, instead sincerely admiring, understanding well—through the enlightenment Purple Worm’s memory—the degree of courage and spirit required to face five Purple Worms directly.

The knowledge transmission of Enlightenment isn’t one-way; it’s a two-way exchange.

During the process of transmitting the enlightenment knowledge packet to the recipient, the Enlightener must also encompass the entirety of the recipient’s primal soul experiences.

These Mushroom People and their cultivated mushrooms serve as the primary sustenance for these Purple Worms.

In previous encounters with Purple Worms, their fate was invariably being swallowed whole.
