Falling For The True Heiress

Chapter 109: I Wished I Had...

Sylvia stared at me for a moment before reaching back and catching my wrist.

She pulled me in front of her and made me sit on her lap. Then she turned off the dryer and placed it on the table.

The room became quiet again.

She wrapped her arms tightly around my waist and leaned forward, resting her head against my shoulder.

"Baby, why are you jealous?" she asked.

Her warm breath brushed against my skin, sending a small shiver through me.

I didn’t say anything.

I just stared at our reflection in the mirror.

Sylvia kissed the side of my neck.

"Talk to me," she whispered, her voice soft as she leaned closer to my ear.

I swallowed.

Her fingers were still wrapped around mine, and without thinking, I tightened my grip on them.

"I don’t know," I said, honestly unsure of why I was feeling this way.

I can’t actually have all of her time, right?

Then why is it that whenever anyone comes close to her or even calls her name, I start feeling jealous?

I actually don’t know the answer...

Maybe I love her so much that I can’t stand seeing her smile at someone else.

The thought made my chest feel strangely tight.

Sylvia kissed my collarbone, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Babe, tell me. I want to hear you say why you’re jealous," Sylvia murmured against my skin.

I looked at her through the mirror.

"I just don’t like anyone being close to you or talking to you," I finally said.

Sylvia’s teeth grazed gently over my collarbone before she gave me a small, teasing bite.

"Ahhh," I gasped, my eyes squeezing shut.

The sharp sting made me pull my shoulder back slightly.

Sylvia kissed the spot afterward, soothing the small ache before looking at me through the mirror.

I slowly opened my eyes.

The place where she had bitten me still tingled, and I could feel the warmth of her lips lingering against my skin.

I met her gaze in the mirror.

"This mark shows that you only belong to me and same as you," she said calmly. "I belong to only you, Amelia. No one else."

Her words settled over me like a warm blanket.

A small smile appeared on my face before I even realized I was smiling.

"I, Sylvia Winston, love you, Amelia Winston, as my wife, not even my girlfriend," Sylvia said with a smile.

My heart skipped.

I turned toward her and cupped her face in my hands.

Her skin was warm beneath my palms.

I leaned down and pressed my lips against hers, holding the kiss for a moment before pulling away slightly.

"I love you, Sylvia," I whispered with a small smile.

Then I leaned down again and kissed her.

Her arms tightened around me, and I closed my eyes, letting myself forget about everything outside the room.

God...

I can’t really get enough of her, damn it...

After some minutes, Sylvia pulled away and brushed my cheeks with her thumb as she smiled at me.

Her touch was gentle, and the warmth of her fingers lingered against my skin.

"Let me get dressed so that we can go downstairs and eat, okay?"

I nodded and stood up from her.

Sylvia stared at me for a moment before standing up.

She reached for the knot of her towel and untied it, letting it fall away.

I froze.

For a second, I stared at her before quickly swallowing and feeling the heat rush straight to my face.

I looked away immediately.

"Sylvia, must you be naked in front of me?"

I heard her turn toward me.

There was a brief silence before she started laughing.

"Not like you haven’t seen it before. What’s there to be shy of?" she said, laughing as she picked up her pajamas and slipped them on.

I kept my eyes away until I was sure she was dressed.

Only then did I turn around.

Sylvia was already looking at me.

A playful smirk rested on her lips as she stood in front of the mirror, brushing her hair.

I narrowed my eyes at her.

She caught my expression and smiled wider.

"You want more?"

I blinked.

My face immediately became hot again.

Without answering, I turned around and walked toward the door.

"Hungry beast," I muttered under my breath.

A smile still tugged at my lips.

Actually, it made me happy knowing that I was the only one she was always hungry for, even when she tried to tease me about it.

There was something comforting about being wanted by the person I loved.

It made my heart feel warm.

"Hey, Minnie. Wait for me."

Sylvia’s voice came from behind me.

I heard the soft sound of the brush being placed back on the table, followed by her footsteps approaching.

I smiled to myself and kept walking.

A moment later, I felt her catch up with me.

She slipped her hand into mine.

I glanced down at our joined hands before looking at her.

She was smiling.

I couldn’t help smiling back.

Sylvia wrapped her fingers around the doorknob and pushed it open.

Immediately, my gaze met someone who seemed to have grown tired of knocking and had decided to wait with her arms crossed over her chest.

It was Janina.

She had changed into another outfit that left much of her body exposed.

I looked her over, and something twisted unpleasantly in my stomach.

She really wasn’t going to stop trying to seduce my wife.

I turned to look at Sylvia.

She was staring at Janina, and a small frown appeared on my face.

Why was she looking at her like that?

I looked away immediately.

Janina seemed to notice the way Sylvia was looking at her.

A smile slowly appeared on her face as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, making the simple movement look deliberately flirtatious.

I bit the inside of my cheek, trying to hold back the jealousy already building inside me.

Sylvia had promised me that she only belonged to me.

I didn’t have to doubt her.

I don’t have to doubt her, I thought, trying to convince myself as I fought down the anger rising inside me.

Sylvia tilted her head and suddenly laughed softly.

"Hey, Janina. Are you crazy?" she said sarcastically. "Do you think we’re raising sluts here? Go get changed before all the others working here see you naked."

My eyes widened.

I turned toward Sylvia, my mouth falling open.

Did she really just say that?

Janina’s smile disappeared.

Sylvia simply snorted and took my hand.

Without giving Janina another look, she started pulling me toward the staircase.

"You—"

Janina’s voice followed behind us.

I looked back over my shoulder, still trying to process what had just happened.

Sylvia didn’t even slow down. She kept walking, her fingers firmly wrapped around mine.

I stared at our joined hands.

The jealousy that had been burning inside me only moments ago began to disappear.

A small smile slowly found its way onto my lips.

Maybe I really didn’t have anything to worry about.

"Babe," I called quietly.

"Huh?" Sylvia answered, looking at me.

"Why did you say that to her?" I asked slowly.

Sylvia looked away and shook her head.

"Because I don’t like her."

"She’s still your cousin sister, Sylvia," I said calmly.

Immediately, Sylvia stopped, and my heart jumped.

Did I say anything wrong again this time?

"Minnie," she called and turned to me. "You must not accept everyone because you’re related to them. If you don’t like them, then quickly avoid them."

I looked away and nodded slowly.

I wished I had thought the way Sylvia did.

I wouldn’t have made the kind of mistake I made.

Sometimes, you need to avoid those who don’t seem to align with you.
