Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 199: Tracking The Hacker(2)

The location was a snowy island surrounded by a very quiet neighborhood. Fresh white snow completely covered the streets and rooftops, making the entire area look peaceful. It was almost too peaceful for a place where a big group of people had come looking for someone who had stolen someone’s hard-earned money.

The gang stood right in front of the house they believed belonged to the hacker. Katie was standing right at the front door while the others remained behind her, watching the quiet house and waiting patiently for someone to answer.

Katie knocked firmly.

A few short seconds later, the front door opened, revealing a young strawberry-blonde woman standing there. She looked at Katie with a slightly confused expression before quickly glancing at the large group standing behind her on the porch.

"Hello, how can I help you all?" the woman asked politely.

"We are looking for someone named Phillip Greyson," Katie said directly.

"Yes, that is my son. Is there any problem?" The woman looked at Katie, then at the people standing behind her, clearly wondering what her son could possibly have to do with these total strangers showing up at their home.

"Your son hacked into our business network and stole our money. Because of that, we lost several important clients. We run an online bookstore."

The woman’s expression changed slightly, but she still did not look convinced by the accusation at all.

"I’m sorry to hear about that, but my son Philip is really not like that. He doesn’t even know the word hacking..." she said sincerely, defending her son without any hesitation.

"How old is your son, by the way?" Angel suddenly asked from right behind Katie.

The woman looked past Katie straight toward Angel.

"My son is nine years old, and he is in fourth grade. His mother has gone to pick him up from school, so you can ask him when he gets back."

She paused for a moment, looking at the entire group again.

"I would let you all inside, but you are all strangers, and I cannot take that risk."

Before anyone could respond to her, the woman closed the door right in their faces.

Everyone stood there in silence for a moment, just staring blankly at the closed front door. After coming all this way through the snowy neighborhood, they had expected to get some answers, but instead, they had been dismissed before they could even explain the situation properly.

"Okay, that is very annoying..." Sabrina muttered under her breath.

"Whatever, let’s all just go wait in the car..." Angel said, turning back toward the street.

The cold was becoming uncomfortable, and standing outside the house was clearly getting them nowhere. They had no choice but to wait for the boy to return from school.

While Katie stayed in the car with her Alphas, the two nuns remained in their own car, while Angel returned to her Jeep with her dear wife.

"I feel sleepy..." April said softly as she climbed inside.

"Do you want me to drive you back home right now?" Angel suggested.

"No, we are already here, so why don’t we all wait and see how this ends?" April said, resting her tired head against the headrest seat.

Angel brought out a soft neck pillow from the back and placed it carefully around April’s neck to make her more comfortable. She then grabbed a thick jacket from the back seat and helped her pregnant wife put it on before giving her a sweet kiss on the lips.

"Was she good?" April muttered, turning her head toward her wife.

"Who was good?" Angel asked, looking confused. She had been looking down at her phone screen when her wife suddenly threw the unexpected question at her out of nowhere.

"Your first. The sexy nun...?"

"Aaaaaah, why do you always ask awkward questions like that?"

"Just answer me. I only want to know..."

"I am not going to answer that question because whatever I say, you will either cry or go completely silent then still cry. No, no... I am not going to fall for your trap, Mrs. Del Rosario."

After saying that, April simply turned her face to the other side, no longer interested in talking to her wife at all. Angel shook her head and pinched the bridge of her nose as she looked at her dramatic omega wife.

She had barely managed to enjoy a peaceful moment with April before the conversation turned into another interrogation about her past. Angel knew better than to push the subject now, especially with her wife already looking determined to ignore her.

Meanwhile, in the other car, the twins were having a heated argument because Sabrina had confessed to her brother about her history with the nun. Katie tried her absolute best to settle them down, but no matter what she said, the two Alphas kept arguing loudly until she could no longer take it.

Finally, Katie got out of the car and joined April and Angel in their Jeep to escape the noise.

Angel soon got out of the Jeep as well and joined the twins in their car. However, instead of calming down, they immediately redirected their frustration toward her, blaming her for starting their whole argument in the first place.

Angel regretted getting involved almost immediately. She had hoped to help settle things, but the twins seemed more interested in finding someone to blame than ending their argument.

Just then, a red car pulled up right in front of the house. A short-haired blonde woman stepped out of the driver’s side, followed by a young boy.

Everyone got out of their vehicles right away to confront the boy.

The small boy immediately hid behind his Alpha mother when he saw the big group approaching.

Angel instantly recognized the woman. Her name was Clara Greyson, an Alpha she knew back from military school.

The unexpected reunion was the last thing Angel had anticipated that morning, but she quickly focused on the reason they had all come there. They needed answers, and now that the boy was finally home, there was no reason to keep waiting.

They clearly explained the whole situation to the parents and showed them all the proof and data they had gathered on their devices. Philip eventually admitted with a low voice that he was indeed the one responsible for the hacking, although he insisted that it had not been entirely his own idea. According to him, his older seniors at school had forced him to do it.
