Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 195: Someone Hacked April
Angel was in the kitchen happily making dinner, something she genuinely loved doing. She smiled to herself as she remembered the first time she had ever made dinner for her wife. Back then, she had been nothing more than a sexy player trying to bang April.
Now, she was a sexy wife who was still trying to bang her wife.
Angel could not help but smile at the thought. She shook her head, her fingers tapping against the edge of the counter while her shoulders bounced in a soft laugh.
She was hoping she had made the meal delicious enough that April would want to do her later.
Angel started by marinating the chicken before deep-frying it. The meat sizzled instantly as it hit the hot oil, filling the air with a rich aroma while she turned the pieces with her tongs. She then made spaghetti, putting a little touch of her love into every part of the meal. She stirred the thick sauce slowly, watching it bubble before dropping the pasta into boiling water.
She also made an ice cream smoothie. The blender roared for a few seconds, swirling frozen chocolate and milk into a thick, smooth mix that she poured into two tall glasses.
Once everything was ready, Angel arranged the food on the table and made sure everything looked good before taking a seat and waiting for her love. She adjusted the forks, wiping a stray drop of sauce off the side of a bowl, her eyes checking the door every few seconds.
April had already told her that Katie was dropping her off, so Angel knew she would be home soon.
Then she heard a voice.
“Hmm, I smell something delicious…”
Angel immediately turned away from the kitchen. Her eyes landed on her wife standing by the door.
“Holy shit, how did you enter without me noticing…?”
Angel quickly ran toward her wife, wrapped her arms around her, her lips pressed against April’s forehead, her cheeks, and her neck, pulling her close until April giggled against her chest.
After holding her for a moment, Angel took her wife’s bag from her before leading her toward the table and showing her the dinner she had prepared. She pulled out the chair with a proud gesture, guiding April down by her shoulders.
“Spaghetti… I love it already…” April gracefully sat down as she began to eat what her wife had served her. She picked up her fork, twirling a long bundle of noodles and taking a bite with a happy sigh.
“I love that you love it. This is my favorite job to do, a house wife is really good… Love you, Bebe…” Angel smiled at her wife, then sat down to eat while April talked about her day at the store, the achievements, the funny moments, and even the difficulties in her business.
Angel patiently sat there, listening to every single word like she was gradually storing them in her system. She rested her chin in her hand, her gaze locked on April’s lips as her wife gestured with her fork to explain things.
April talked about their network being hacked by an intruder, causing them to lose sales and money. April did not seem sad about it because she had just let it go and hired a programmer to help maintain their website and stop hackers. She took another bite of her food, her shoulders shrugging like it was no big deal.
“You should have filed a complaint… That’s not fair…” Angel said. Her eyebrows pulled together, her posture stiffening while her fork clicked sharply against her plate.
“Just forget about it, Papi. Katie and I are fine. We have learned our lesson. It is part of growing a business…” April reached across the table, laying her hand over Angel’s tight fist.
Angel just stared at her wife. She definitely did not process that. She was already thinking about how to find the hacker and track whoever they were. Her pulse picked up, a cold focus settling behind her eyes while her mind ran through names and codes.
April noticed her head movement and immediately knew that her wife was already planning something. She narrowed her eyes, leaning forward to catch Angel’s gaze.
“Papi, I said it’s okay. Katie and I are fine, and we have learned our lesson. Don’t do anything stupid…”
“Okay…” Angel blinked, trying to keep her expression completely blank.
“I am serious…” April pressed her thumb firmly against Angel’s hand.
“And I said okay…”
“And I know that you don’t mean okay.”
“Just let me fix it. You fucking lost money because of that. Should I just sit around and do nothing? Your money needs to be returned to you and your partner…” Angel sat up straight, her hands coming down on the tabletop with a low thud as her jaw locked.
Seeing that her wife was super serious and knowing there was nothing she could do about it, April also wanted the money they had lost back. She let out a quiet breath, her fingers relaxing against Angel’s knuckles.
“Alright then, do whatever you want… Just don’t get hurt.”
Angel smiled. The tight tension in her face vanished into a bright grin. “Thank you. Tomorrow, I am going to find a hacker to help track the hacker, and I am going to make them pay every single cent…”
“Can I come?” April asked. Her eyes widened slightly, her head tilting in interest.
“No, you have your business to run.”
“Pretty please… We have workers.” April pouted her lips, tapping her fingers lightly on the side of her glass.
“Alright, I will call you when we locate the person…” Angel gave in. Her wife’s face was too cute to disagree with. She reached over to pinch April’s cheek gently before picking up her own fork again.
“Thank you Papi… So who is this hacker you have in mind?”
“Priesto.”
April paused midway through her food. Her fork stopped an inch from her mouth, her gaze lifting slowly to meet Angel’s.
“Obviously, it’s him…”
“He has so many networks. I told you he has his own religion…”
“And till today, I still don’t understand what his religion is. All he does is have nuns running around as waitresses…” April said, staring at her wife.
“Well, they are not just any nuns…”
“I know. Sexy nuns. You are not going there. Find another hacker…” April grumbled. She turned her head away, her bottom lip sticking out in a silent protest.
“Come on, Bebe. I thought you said that you are learning to trust me. I don’t let any Omega touch me, and when they try to, I tell them to back off and say I have a beautiful wife. Besides, you marked me and claimed me…” Angel slid her chair closer, resting her head against April’s arm while looking up at her with big eyes.
“Alright, but three feet away from them. Sexy nuns as waitresses. Tsk.” April shook her head, though the corner of her mouth twitched with a small smile.
“Thank you… Can I tell you a secret?” Angel said. Her voice dropped into a low whisper, her eyes darting around the empty room like someone might be listening.
“What is the secret?”
“They are not just sexy nuns. Priesto is secretly a Mafia, and the nuns are like his network. They have different professions, and together, they rule the underworld…” Angel smiled at his wife.
“Why is he a secret mafia? The Martinez are not secret…”
“Well, he is afraid of his mothers, especially Grandma Lucinda. He likes playing saint to her…” Angel chuckled, resting her chin on her hand. “Grandma Lucinda scolds all her children and wants them to live a better peaceful life. She has lost two of her children and doesn’t want to lose anymore…”
“Oh, I thought it was only your mom?” April asked. Her expression softened, her hand moving back to stroke the top of Angel’s hand.
“No, I had an uncle who was older than my mom. He died in the same field Priesto is in, and Priesto is just trying to keep his legacy…” Angel explained. Her gaze dropped to the food for a second, her chest expanding with a deep, quiet breath as she remembered the stories.
After their discussion and dinner, the two went for a walk.
