Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 191: Angel Finds April Outside
When Angel got to the front of the cottage, she found her wife outside.
April was sitting on a chair, clutching the big teddy bear tightly against herself as she dozed off. Her head had slowly tilted to the side, completely lost in sleep. The dark night air was still, and her breath hitched every few seconds as she sank deeper into her dreams.
Angel gently smiled at her sleeping wife.
She already knew April was going to wait for her outside. That was just how her wife was. Angel hated that she had made her wait. The last thing she ever wanted was to have her family sitting outside, waiting for her to come home.
Angel quietly walked over and carefully scooped her wife into her arms.
The throbbing pain in her shoulder was still there, a hot spike radiating down her arm, but it was not enough to stop her from carrying April. She did not care how much it hurt. Her jaw clenched tight, her knees flexing to absorb the weight without stumbling. Her wife was tired, and she wanted her to rest properly. With the teddy bear tucked along with them, Angel carried both of them inside and went straight to their bedroom.
She gently placed April on the bed before adjusting the pillows around her. April could never sleep peacefully without pillows around her, especially her maternity pillows.
Angel carefully adjusted all of them until April was completely surrounded by pillows, making sure her sleeping wife was comfortable. She lifted April’s feet gently onto the mattress, pulling the light quilt up over her shoulders until her wife let out a soft sigh and settled in.
After making sure her wife was sleeping comfortably, Angel went to take her bath and changed into her nightwear.
When she finished, she went to the kitchen to drink some water. But the moment she stepped inside, she noticed the dinner April had made for her. The plates were neatly covered on the table, still resting where her wife had left them.
Even though Angel was already full, she made sure she finished every single dish on the table. She pulled out a chair and swallowed every last bite, forcing her fork down until the plates were completely empty.
She just did not want to see the same sadness she had once seen in her mother’s face reflected in April’s.
After finishing everything, Angel did the dishes and went to bed.
The next morning, Angel was busy trying to recreate the steak she had eaten at the restaurant the previous night for her wife as breakfast. Her Jeep was already outside, fixed and cleaned. The metal sparkled in the driveway, completely spotless as if nothing bad had happened. Pan sizzled softly on the stove as Angel moved the spatulas around, her eyes focused on the meat turning dark brown.
April got out of the room and went to the kitchen to find her wife. She hugged her Alpha wife from behind. Her soft forehead pressed against Angel’s spine, her arms locking around Angel’s middle.
"Good morning, Papi."
"Good morning, Bebe... How was your night?"
"I loved it. My Alpha returned home last night." April murmured into her shirt, her chest warming against Angel’s back.
Angel turned to see her pregnant wife all ready for work and looking happy as always.
"I’m making tender steak with fries, cheese, and sausage with bread..." Angel explained her cooking. She pointed her wooden spoon at the cutting board, where the food was piled high.
"Awwn, that is so sweet of you..."
While they were busy eating breakfast, Angel could feel the intense gaze from her dear wife. April had complimented her cooking and was even surprised by the delicious steak and everything, but then April had been staring at her Alpha wife. Her eyes followed every move Angel made, tracking the way Angel chewed and how she moved her neck.
"What is wrong, April?" Angel quietly asked. "Are you horny? Do you want to do it right now?" Angel winked at her, having the impression that her wife wanted to do it. She leaned back against her chair, putting on a confident grin.
"Take off your clothes..." April ordered. Her voice was steady, without a single laugh behind it.
"Ohhhhh, I am already loving where this is going... I like this side of you... Tsk, sexy kinky bitchy..."
Angel started removing her clothes, starting with her bottoms, then her long-sleeve shirt. Angel was now naked except for her panties and bra-top. She tossed her shirt onto the nearby chair, flexing her arms playfully to show off for her wife.
April wanted to stand up from her seat but was too heavy to do so, so she used her finger to lure the Alpha. She curled her index finger inward, gesturing for Angel to come closer.
Angel stood up from her seat and got close to her wife. She happily knelt down, already having naughty devilish thoughts. Her eyes sparkled as she rested her hands lightly on April’s thighs, looking up with a wide smile.
Then April started scanning Angel’s shoulder and landed on her left side. She was seeing a new ink on Angel’s shoulder.
It was a rose shape.
"Is that a new tattoo?" April pointed. Her finger hovered just an inch away from the dark red leaves, her brow pulling tight.
Before coming home, Angel branched off to Priesto’s restaurant, and one of the nuns drew a tattoo on her to cover the wound, definitely not wanting to carry a bandage home and make it obvious. The nun was an expert, and she assured Angel that it wouldn’t be noticeable.
Well, April wifey noticed it...
"Em, yeah... I got it yesterday... It’s cute, right, you like it huh..?" Angel shifted slightly, trying to pull her shoulder back just enough so the light wouldn’t hit it directly.
"So you were getting a tattoo while I was busy waiting for you all night...?"
"Huh... I just wanted a tattoo... but I swear I will make it up to you. You can do whatever you want with my body..." Angel said, trying to give herself to her wife and really wishing April would stop talking about it. She rested her chin on April’s knee, staring up at her with big, pleading eyes.
But April now knew the reasons Angel had tattoos. She knew every single mark on Angel’s skin was put there to hide something painful, a physical cover for a mark or a tear that she didn’t want the world to inspect. Her hand stopped in midair, her pulse quickening as her gaze locked onto the fresh pink edges around the petals.
"What happened to your shoulder... Did you get injured?"
Angel opened her mouth to make a silly lie. Her throat went dry, her head searching for any ridiculous excuse about bumping into a door frame or catching herself on a loose metal hook, or a pig bit her...
"Please, Angel, don’t lie to me... You know we are one now. I will know if you lie... So tell me, what really happened in Playa Coast?" April’s voice dropped, firm and serious, her eyes searching Angel’s face with unwavering intensity.
