Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades

Chapter 782: The Bearer Of The Golden Throne

Chapter 782: The Bearer Of The Golden Throne

Ultris shook his head. “You can’t reincarnate in the past outside the universe. Even if you do it inside the universe and go to the past again, the time in the Forbidden Lands will keep moving forward. ’He’ will wake up soon. So the more time you waste dying and rebuilding your strength, the worse our odds become.”

“I still don’t care—”

Neo’s words were cut short when he felt a dreadful presence.

The sheer stillness radiated by that presence was chilling.

Neo snapped his head in the direction where his senses were pointing him.

And there…

“Who are you?”

Neo’s anger erupted far more than previously.

The man he saw wore the face of his master, his student, his benefactor, and his successor.

Daniel Caelum.

“He is Veydran, the leader of Eternals,” Julie said, her brows furrowing. “They arrived here too fast.”

Daniel— No, Veydran was staring directly at Neo.

“That face…. I see, you are Devil of Tyranny. And that power…. It looks like a Heavenbreaker. Such a dangerous power, and we couldn’t notice it until now. No wonder, he spoke to us,” Veydran muttered.

Ultris grinned savegly.

“So you are here bastard. Last time I had to hold back lest we destroyed the universe, but now, I’m going to wipe that disgusting face of yours on Hollow Suns,” Ultris said.

A wave of power erupted from Ultris.

He spoke under his breath, “Leave.”

Then, he flicked his finger.

Neo, Julie, Veydran and Ultris himself moved—

No, it was the universe that moved.

It moved away, and in the process threw them out of itself.

The process was like a room moving away while the people inside it remained at the same position. When the room moved too far, the people would hit the wall, and then come out of it.

The universe hadn’t even been able to protest.

With a simple finger flick, Ultris had forced the entire universe to move away.

And as it disappeared, a heart-chilling scene was unfolded.

Utter and complete darkness.

It hid countless horrors within itself.

The horrors were attacking and devouring countless universes.

But what caught Neo’s attention was neither the Darkness, nor the Horrors, it was…. Gods.

Hundreds of thousands of Gods, each of them far, far stronger than Kevin were surrounding Ultris and his group.

They seemed to be waiting for Veydran’s command.

“Why are there so many Conquerors here? The Eternals shouldn’t have time to gather so many of them,” Julie muttered, biting lips.

“Conquerors?” Neo asked.

“They are the leaders of their universe. They’ve suppressed any and all resistance within their universe, and gained enough power to work under the leadership of Eternals,” Julie said.

Somehow, Neo instinctively understood why so many ’leaders of universes’ were working under Eternals.

It wasn’t because of the dazzling power of Eternals to control Time.

No, it was…. for survival.

They had to band together to fight against the Darkness and its Horrors.

Neo bit his lips, realizing how far Moraine had gone. All of this was happening because she had gone insane while trying to revive him into the 10th Eon.

This was… all Neo’s responsibility.

“Hahaha! What’s the meaning of this? So what if you’ve brought many people? Ants will be ants!” Ultris laughed.

The energy radiating off his body intensified.

Neo felt a chill. It was World Energy. It was weaker than his own, signifying that perhaps Ultris was really crippled.

However, the sharpness of his World Energy and its weight was far beyond anything Neo could imagine.

The sheer strength of World Energy forced dozens of Conquerors to wince and take a few steps back.

The so-called leaders of universes had a fearful look in their eyes as they stared at the Heavenbreaker.

“Come on! Why are you stepping back? If you want a fight, then I will—”

“Sigh.”

Veydran’s sigh cut off Ultris’ words.

The leader of Eternals spoke, “Don’t you understand it Ultris. Or are you trying to ignore the truth in front of your eyes? Why do you think we were able to gather so many people here so quickly?”

Julie bit her lips harder and looked at Neo.

“Hey, did you try to devour the Eye?”

“Yes.”

“Dammit, so ’he’ knows you are here. Fuck, even though we told you to not meet him.”

Ultris looked at Neo for a second then faced Veydran again.

He didn’t say anything, but Neo sensed the shift in Ultris’ gaze.

“There is no point in fighting anymore Ultris. The time is up. Now that ’he’ is aware a second Heavenbreaker is born, he is returning. We don’t even need to fight you seriously. We just have to buy time until he arrives,” Veydran said.

“Did you forget who sent that fucker running away? What makes you think his return will do something? He wouldn’t even be fully healed if he returns now,” Ultris grinned, showing no sign of hesitation.

Veydran sighed, and looked towards Neo.

“Devil, come to our side. Your family…. If you wish to save them, work with me. Apollyon might be ruthless, but he is not cruel. He will take away the curse if he sees your devotion.”

As soon as Neo heard the word “Apollyon”, it was as if a gong went off inside his head.

The sheer strength of the name made the cosmos tremble.

Neo didn’t feel like dying when he heard the name of a powerful existence.

No, this was… something different.

Something so powerful that he was able to control the effect of his True Name.

Just hearing his name changed Neo’s perception.

Suddenly, he was able to see countless golden threads all around.

His body still wouldn’t move, suffering the aftershock of hearing the name.

His Existence seemed to be trying to bow and lower its head to the name.

The Golden Threads — the Threads of the Fate — flowed all around, moving and serving the bearer of the Golden Throne, Apollyon.

Neo could see that until now, the Golden Threads were moving on their own.

Unsupervised.

Unchecked.

But now…

He was returning.

The Golden Threads were trembling with excitement.

Their Emperor was on his way.

“Can you see it now?” Ultris asked.

The power behind his words seeped into Neo’s body, allowing him to finally move.

Neo nodded with difficulty.

The sheer power and presence he could feel after hearing the name Apollyon made him feel like was deep within an ocean.

It was suffocating.

“That’s our enemy. The one that cursed your parents, and my family,” Ultris said.
