Chapter 778: First Realm of Divinity
Chapter 778: First Realm of Divinity
Neo didn’t look his way.
He kept working.
And then something happened that made ’I’ stiffen.
Neo didn’t rewrite the strands.
He didn’t cut them.
He didn’t destroy them.
He stored them.
One by one, Neo pulled temporal strands out of the universe and placed them inside his Cosmos.
“Huh?” ’I’ muttered, stunned. “If he does that, the main timeline of this universe will collapse and—”
His words cut off.
Beelzebub flapped his wings once.
Just once.
That single flap created countless pseudo temporal strands.
They weren’t real.
If temporal strands were walls, these pseudo temporal strands were like holograms of walls.
They were transparent, and fake.
Despite being fake, these pseudo strands performed one simple function perfectly:
Stability.
They fooled the River of Time into believing nothing was missing.
Even though Neo was pulling real strands out and storing them in his Cosmos, the universe didn’t realize it.
Its internal system saw the fake strands and assumed everything was still in place.
The Paradoxes that should’ve started to appear due to Neo’s crazy feat were not being born. All because he was fooling the River of Time into thinking that the timeline was not being touched at all.
Neo continued his work, strand after strand.
If he encountered a strand he had partially collected earlier, he merged both pieces together.
He sorted them, stabilized them, and then added them to his Cosmos.
Hours passed.
Or seconds.
Time didn’t carry meaning inside the frozen river.
Finally, Neo reached a stopping point.
Every temporal strand within a full 100 years—past and future—had been removed.
Only Neo remained inside that entire century.
He stretched his fingers once, relaxing the tension.
Then he looked toward the direction where ’I’ was hiding.
“What are you going to do now?” Neo asked. “With no people left to manipulate, are you finally planning to fight me yourself?”
His tone was calm, yet cold.
From a hidden pocket within the Gap, ’I’ ground his teeth.
Neo didn’t give him time to respond.
He placed his hand forward and began reversing the time of the entire universe by one century.
The past twisted.
Stars shifted.
Cosmic structures rolled backward.
Events unwound like threads being reeled back in.
Since Neo had already removed every temporal strand within that time frame, he didn’t have to worry about paradoxes or people being erased.
They weren’t in the universe anymore.
They lived inside Neo’s Cosmos.
This became Neo’s cycle.
He grabbed centuries worth of strands.
Then he reversed time by that same number of centuries.
Then he moved forward again and repeated the process.
But the work wasn’t light.
The first drain came from scanning and identifying the temporal strands.
The second drain came from grabbing and storing them.
The third was the heaviest: rewinding the universe itself.
And Neo had one more problem.
Most people’s temporal strands had been affected by ’I’.
Neo couldn’t store those altered versions.
To explain it in simpler terms, let’s say a person was called A.
After meeting ’I’ went to the past, this person’s past was changed, and he became A1.
Neo didn’t want to put A1 into his Cosmos.
A1 was someone who was manipulated by ’I’.
Instead, Neo wanted to bring the original version, namely A, into his Cosmos.
Finding that original version should’ve been impossible, but Neo wasn’t working with normal rules.
He was a Heavenbreaker.
He was guided by Heavenly Records and the Primogenitor Trait.
And he had spent ages understanding billions of different Time Element Concepts, Laws, and Worlds while helping Beelzebub evolve.
So, something that was bound to happen, happened.
Eyes of Echo Technique mastery has increased.
Eyes of Echo Technique is already at Supreme Mastery.
The message echoed within him.
Neo didn’t stop.
This exact scenario brought an old memory to the surface.
Years ago, in the academy, Mars had asked the Sphinx a question.
“How can someone become a God without raising the rank of their Elemental Mastery?”
The Sphinx had told him there was a path to achieve that, but it would be far harder than conventional path.
Eyes of Echo Technique mastery has increased.
Eyes of Echo Technique is already at Supreme Mastery.
If evolving a Concept enough gave birth to a World…
What happened if someone evolved a single technique to its limit and beyond?
The answer was…
Eyes of Echo Technique mastery has increased.
Eyes of Echo Technique mastery has reached First Realm of Divinity (Rare).
The Technique stored inside Neo’s Seed of Existence pulsed violently.
Then it moved.
Not metaphorically.
Not symbolically.
It physically moved.
The spell quivered.
It twisted.
And then—against all logic—it gained a Life Flame.
The technique came alive.
A purple burst of flame shot out of Neo’s Seed of Existence.
The flames curled around him, rising higher and higher, and then shaped themselves into gigantic feline eyes.
The Eyes of Echo Technique had evolved into a Technique Spirit.
’I’ watched from the darkness of the Gap, stunned.
Such a feat was only possible in the True Blessed Land.
The Realm of Divinity wasn’t something someone should be able to reach outside the True Blessed Lands.
Yet Neo did.
But something even stranger happened next.
The enormous feline eyes floating behind Neo shifted.
The Eyes of Echo Firmament—the original cosmic-level ability—appeared beside the new Technique Spirit.
Two pairs of eyes.
One the size of galaxies.
One perched lightly atop Neo’s head.
They stared at each other.
They were similar but not identical.
They came from the same origin but grew in different directions.
They were two halves that were always supposed to be one.
They lifted their paws at the exact same moment.
And they touched.
Eyes of Echo Technique Spirit and Eyes of Echo Firmament are fusing.
They are compensating for each other’s weaknesses.
They are being reborn as one.
The two pairs of eyes merged, reshaping into a single overwhelming presence.
Eyes of Echo Technique mastery has reached First Realm of Divinity (Rare → Exquisite).
Neo remained still, focused.
Behind him floated the fused eyes and the cosmic butterfly.
’I’ stared, breathing unevenly.
The new Eyes of Echo allowed Neo to see every version of every temporal strand.
If someone had looped time a thousand times—like Daniel once did—Neo could now see every loop with complete clarity.
It didn’t matter how many times ’I’ changed the past.
Neo could simply select the version from before the interference.
He began to expend more and more energy as he did this.
Then, he would regress the time of the universe.
One century.
Five centuries.
Ten centuries.
A hundred centuries.
He went further each time.
Of course, not every strand could be brough under his influence.
Temporal strands belonging to Demons, Witches, Soul Weapons, and Stage 7 beings were untouchable.
But Stage 6 and below?
They were under his full, absolute control.
’I’ finally broke.
He stepped forward from the shadows, voice shaking.
“Stop this madness! What are you even trying to do? You cannot affect my Authority! I will—”
“What about that eye?” Neo asked suddenly.
’I’ froze.
Neo continued.
“That eye… it belongs to Apollo, doesn’t it? One was stolen by the God who betrayed him. The other—the Eye of All Fate—was lost. And you happened to find it.”
’I’s body twitched.
The more Neo spoke, the colder his expression became.
“You call yourself ’I’. You dare walk around with that name like no one would notice. Like no one would guess you possess that eye. Was it arrogance, or did you believe you were invincible?”
“You can’t be—”
“Yes,” Neo said. “I’m going to turn back time until the moment you obtained that eye. And then I’m going to take it from your past self. Unlike the Time Authority, that eye can be stolen with brute force. Isn’t that how Apollo lost his?”
’I’ trembled violently.
Neo’s words hit him harder than any attack.
Only then did he understand what Neo meant earlier—
How would you feel if everything you built started to crumble?
For the first time, ’I’ felt fear.
