Chapter 42: Whole Gang’s Dilemma

Han Tianxiong narrowed his eyes, he wants confirm again.

"A deal?"

"Yes."

Hearing the same reply, he couldn’t help but sneer.

"Why would I need a deal from you?"

He didn’t try to hide his disdain in his voice.

So what if the opponent had a bodyguard as strong as him?

Can that single person fight off with his more than a hundred men present at the place all by himself?

But Long Feng’s smile didn’t change.

"Because you probably don’t want the entire Blood Eagle Gang to die."

The moment those words came out, everyone froze. The atmosphere instantly became heavy. Han Tianxiong’s expression changed.

"What are you talking about?"

Long Feng calmly looked at the men around him.

"Some of Azura Heaven Sect’s disciples had taken a mission to eliminate your so called herd. So what do you think the chances of your survival?"

Silence.

Complete silence.

The expressions of everyone in the hall changed dramatically.

"What? Azura Heaven Sect had posted mission to eliminate us.""

"How do you know about this?"

The Azura Heaven Sect was not an ordinary sect.

It was one of the seven Great Sects of the Central Region and the strongest major force in this entire area.

For countless years, the Azura Heaven Sect had stood above the surrounding forces.

As the biggest power, they were both protectors and law enforcers of the region. Whenever evil forces fought recklessly and endangered innocents, they would often step in to maintain order.

Because of this, even powerful clans and smaller sects had to show them respect.

The Blood Eagle Gang was certainly strong enough to dominate this region, but in front of the Azura Heaven Sect, they were nothing more than a small force.

Several people began speaking among themselves.

The Blood Eagle Gang was made up of ruthless cultivators. They had committed countless crimes and had offended many smaller forces.

But they weren’t stupid.

They knew exactly which people they could provoke and which people they couldn’t, still this day had finally came.

If the Azura Heaven Sect truly decided to destroy them, the Blood Eagle Gang wouldn’t even have the strength to resist.

Even Han Tianxiong’s expression became increasingly ugly.

"How do you know?"

Looking at his suspicious gaze upon him, Long Feng simply smiled.

"That isn’t important. What matters is whether you want to live or die."

His indifferent attitude made Tian Xiong’s fists tightened. He wanted to smash his face, but right now he was useful to them.

"You expect me to believe you just because you said it?"

"You don’t have to."

Long Feng shrugged.

"But if you want proof, it’s very simple. The most convenient route to your headquarters is through Clear River City. If those disciples are coming for you, they will most likely investigate the city first."

Han Tianxiong’s expression remained doubtful as he continued.

"They may even use flying beasts to travel here. Send some of your men to investigate the city, look for anyone suspicious."

This made Han Tianxiong fell silent. His mind quickly turned over Long Feng’s words.

It was true!

Clear River City was the nearest major city to their territory. Anyone coming from outside would naturally pass through there.

And if the disciples of Azura Heaven Sect really intended to eliminate the Blood Eagle Gang, they would certainly investigate the area before making their move.

Most importantly, Han Tianxiong couldn’t understand why someone as powerful as Long Feng would come all the way here merely to lie to them.

After a moment, he turned toward one of the men standing nearby.

"Take several men and go to Clear River City."

The man’s expression became serious.

"Leader?"

"Investigate everyone who has recently entered the city. Pay particular attention to young and unknown cultivators."

"Yes!"

The man immediately turned around and left with several others.

Han Tianxiong then looked back at Long Feng.

"But why are you helping us?"

Long Feng gave a faint smile.

"Because I don’t have a good relationship with them either."

Han Tianxiong’s eyes narrowed. He looked at him for a few moments, before turning away.

"You’re using the name of Azura Heaven Sect to deal with us. If they discover this, won’t they become your enemy as well?"

But Long Feng waved his hand dismissively.

"Don’t worry about that. Help me deal with them, and in return, I’ll report back to the sect that the mission has been completed."

"You can do that?" Han Tianxiong’s pupils contracted.

"Of course."

Long Feng smiled.

"As long as the mission is considered complete, no one will have a reason to continue looking for you."

Han Tianxiong stared at him for a long time. He still felt that something wasn’t right.

But after considering the situation carefully, he realized that Long Feng’s proposal was surprisingly simple.

They had an enemy approaching.

Long Feng wanted to use them to deal with that enemy.

In exchange, he would make the Azura Heaven Sect believe the mission had already been completed.

It was almost too convenient. Yet Han Tianxiong couldn’t find a better option. The other people sitting there also pleased with what he said.

If they could escape this big trouble, they could tolerate this eyesore for a little while longer.

"Fine."

As he though, Han Tianxiong couldn’t reject his offer and nodded.

"We’ll discuss the details after my men return."

Long Feng smiled.

"Good."

The matter was temporarily settled.

For the next some time, Long Feng remained inside the Blood Eagle Gang’s headquarters.

He didn’t seem concerned about anything. He ate, drank, and occasionally walked around the area.

The members of the Blood Eagle Gang couldn’t understand his behavior. This man was either incredibly confident... Or completely insane.

But whenever they saw Patriarch Wang silently standing behind him, nobody dared to test which one it was.

But their wait was too long and two days passed.

Outside the Blood Eagle Gang’s headquarters, Long Feng sat on a large rock overlooking the canyon. The morning wind swept across the mountain.

He sat there quietly, seemingly enjoying the scenery. Behind him, Patriarch Wang stood several meters away.

Suddenly, footsteps sounded from behind. Han Tianxiong approached with a grim expression.

Long Feng didn’t even turn around and asked calmly.

"What happened?"

Han Tianxiong’s face darkened more upon his question.

"You don’t know why I’m here?"

Long Feng finally looked back, he still had a big smile upon his face.

"How do I know that what could possibly make the Blood Eagle Gang’s leader personally come looking for me so early in the morning?"

Han Tianxiong’s anger rose when he saw that relaxed expression.

"Didn’t you know that I sent my people to Clear River City yesterday? But they still haven’t returned."

Long Feng raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

His reaction was so casual that Han Tianxiong’s face twitched.

"Oh?" He stared angrily at him. "That’s all you have to say?"

But Long Feng shrugged casually.

"What else should I say?"

Han Tianxiong clenched his fists, veins popped out on his forehead.

Several of my men have disappeared. Now he even started to think that maybe he was the disciple of the Azura Heaven sect, who had come with a mission to wipe out their gang.

Long Feng remained silent for a moment before smiled even bigger.

"You’re finally starting to understand."

Han Tianxiong’s expression changed.

"What do you mean?"

Long Feng stood up from the rock and stretched lazily.

"What’s there to be surprised about? Did you forget how I found your warehouse?"

Han Tianxiong froze. His expression slowly changed.

But Long Feng continued. "Your warehouse was hidden carefully. Not many people know its exact location. Yet I found it."

"If I could find your warehouse, why do you think those people from the Azura Heaven Sect couldn’t?"

Han Tianxiong’s expression became ugly. He finally understood.

A stranger suddenly appeared in their warehouse. Then, after being brought here, he somehow knew about the disciples coming for them.

And now the people he had sent to investigate had disappeared. There was only one explanation.

"Those bastards..."

Han Tianxiong’s face turned furious. He looked toward Long Feng.

"You deliberately sent my people there!"

Long Feng smiled without answering. His silence was enough.

"You!"

Han Tianxiong’s killing intent surged.

He finally realized that Long Feng had deliberately encouraged him to send his men toward Clear River City.

He had practically invited the enemy to follow them.

"You used my people as bait!"

Long Feng calmly shook his head.

"Not exactly."

He pointed toward the vast mountains surrounding them. His smile slowly became more sinister.

"They would have come sooner or later. So why not let them come sooner and finish this matter? Otherwise why would I’ve been sitting here since morning for no reason."

"I wanted to make sure nobody could approach this place without me noticing."

Han Tianxiong was stunned.

"You’ve been waiting for them?"

"More or less."

Long Feng had already calculated that if the disciples of the Azura Heaven Sect had discovered the Blood Eagle Gang’s location, they wouldn’t wait too long before attacking.

And with the mountains surrounding the headquarters, this was the perfect place to detect their arrival.

He simply needed to wait.

Suddenly, Long Feng’s expression changed slightly. His eyes turned toward the distant mountains.

Han Tianxiong immediately noticed the change.

"What is it?"

Long Feng didn’t answer. His senses spread outward. For a brief moment, he felt an extremely faint fluctuation in the distance. Someone was approaching. And there wasn’t just one person.

Long Feng’s lips slowly curved upward as he looked at Han Tianxiong.

"They’re here."

Han Tianxiong’s expression changed instantly.

"What?"

Long Feng turned toward the Blood Eagle Gang’s headquarters. His smile became wider.

"Prepare your strongest defenses, if you don’t want to die with your people."

Han Tianxiong immediately became serious.

The relaxed atmosphere from moments ago vanished completely. The Blood Eagle Gang was about to face its real enemy.
