Chapter 131: Golden Grade Talent

  • Next Chapter

Long Feng’s soul was fundamentally different from that of ordinary cultivators, allowing him to maintain complete consciousness even inside the Heavenly Judgment Mirror.

And judging from Yueyue’s accurate conclusion upon him, it seemed that the Heavenly Judgement Mirror had far more abilities than he had initially imagined.

Long Feng looked at the little girl again with newfound insights.

"Yueyue, hum."

"Y-Yes?" The little girl immediately became alert.

"What grade weapon are you, I’mean the Heavenly Judgement Mirror?"

Yueyue’s body who was trembling a moment ago, replaced instantly. As if finding her new source of confidence, she patted on her flat chest and replied with a big smirk.

"I don’t wanna to extragged but I’m a peak Saint Rank weapon. You know, quite powerful!"

As if want to intimidate him with her rank, only to find out him simply stood there calmly as if didn’t mattered.

"Saint Rank peak..."

He repeated the words thoughtfully, almost casually, like heard two or three daily.

In reality, he didn’t even know what that meant.

He only knew the weapon grades up to Heaven Rank, as for Saint Rank, he had never heard about it.

Spirit, Profound, Earth and Heaven.

Beyond Heaven Rank? Sorry, it was completely outside his knowledge.

But there was no way Long Feng was going to admit that. He had already built quite an impressive image in front of this little mirror spirit.

Why would he destroy it himself?

Yueyue stared at him, his expression remained calm. There was not even the slightest trace of fear in his eyes.

Her pupils gradually widened.

’He’s not afraid?’

She had thought that after hearing her true rank, Long Feng would finally realize how terrifying she was.

But instead, he looked completely indifferent.

’Could it be that his strength is even greater than I imagined?’

Thinking about this, her small body unconsciously moved backward by half a step.

Long Feng noticed this but said nothing. Instead, he casually pointed toward the endless darkness around them.

"Then where is your thoughts, you should be able to show my result until now!"

"Your result?" Yueyue blinked.

Long Feng frowned and pointed at the mirror surface, towards outside.

"Like them, were are my talent results? Did you really think I came here to spend the rest of my life talking to you?"

Hearing his rest of life here, Yueyue’s expression changed.

"N-No! I will do it now!"

"Then show my result and something normal."

Long Feng’s voice remained calm as he looked directly at Yueyue.

Yueyue blinked. For a moment, she simply stared at him.

Then, as if she had finally understood what he meant, her eyes widened slightly.

"Oh..."

She looked at his current soul form and then nodded several times.

"I understand."

His appearance was nowhere like a human soul, instead, it look more alike of some Ancient Demon Emperor.

If its shadow shown outside upon the mirror surface, this will cause a huge sensation. So he was telling her to hid his identity.

This was not something difficult for her, so she didn’t dare to reject it, as the only thing she couldn’t do to throw him out.

Long Feng didn’t say anything else, turned around and began walking toward the surface of the mirror.

Seeing him finally going out, Yueyue let out a sigh or relief.

As Long Feng approached the mirror’s surface, he suddenly spoke without turning around.

"Now you’re happy, right? You don’t have to look at that frightening appearance anymore."

Yueyue’s small face relaxed slightly. She nodded instinctively.

"Yes."

The moment the word left her mouth, she suddenly froze.

Her eyes widened as she immediately realized what she had just admitted.

Long Feng’s footsteps stopped. For a brief moment, the entire space became strangely quiet.

"I..."

She wanted to explain herself, but Long Feng had already slowly turned his head. A faint smile appeared on his face and it was not warm.

Under his current demonic appearance, even the slightest curve of his lips carried an inexplicably sinister feeling.

Yueyue’s face immediately turned pale as he looked at her calmly.

"So you really are happy?"

"N-No!" Yueyue hurriedly shook her head. "I didn’t mean it like that!"

"But you just said it."

"I..."

Her words caught in her throat.

Long Feng’s gaze remained fixed on her. The faint smile on his face made Yueyue increasingly uncomfortable. She instinctively took a small step backward.

"How can I believe you?"

His voice remained calm, but there was a faint teasing pressure hidden within it.

"What if you tell someone about me after I leave? To your master or Sect’s elders? You are a Saint Rank weapon, so you would have some words with higher authority!"

Yueyue immediately shook her head like a chicken pecking on grains.

"I won’t!"

"I really won’t!"

"I don’t have a master whom would I tell. As for Sect elders, I don’t have any dealing with them, in fact because I only recently developed my consciousness, they don’t even know about me. So there is absolutely no question of telling them, my Great Demon King."

Her answer came almost instantly.

Long Feng stared at her for several breaths, then his lips slowly curved upward again.

"So..."

Yueyue’s heart suddenly tightened.

There was something about his expression that made her instinctively uneasy.

"So, my dear Yueyue still hadn’t any master, huh!"

As he took a step toward her, his smile became more deeper and devilish.

"That’s actually quite convenient. Now I have another way, so I don’t need to worry about your telling to others in any further."

Yueyue’s eyes widened, as she realized that she had slipped again.

For some reason, the moment she heard those words, the smile on Long Feng’s face suddenly seemed much more frightening.

It was almost as though an ancient demon had found an opportunity to take advantage of an innocent little girl.

Realizing his intentions, her expression became increasingly frightened.

"Y-You..."

Long Feng took another step closer and Yueyue immediately retreated.

"Don’t, don’t come close, you evil demon! Aahhh!"

Her eyes gradually became watery. Her voice became soft and helpless. She looked at him with an expression full of grievance.

Long Feng stared at her, the corners of his lips lifted slightly.

"Hahaha..."

His laughter echoed through the strange mirror space.

The little mirror spirit’s reaction was far more entertaining than he had expected.

Outside the Heavenly Judgment Mirror, the atmosphere had gradually become somewhat strange.

At first, nobody had paid much attention to the passage of time. But gradually, they began to impatient.

The elders who had initially been calm and even a little excited, began exchanging glances. One of them finally frowned slightly.

"Why hasn’t this disciple’s results come out yet?"

Another elder looked toward the Heavenly Judgment Mirror.

"It has already been quite some time."

"Could something have happened inside?"

The surrounding elders became slightly more serious.

The Heavenly Judgment Mirror had been used by the sect for countless years. Although the examination was mysterious, it was generally extremely stable.

The disciple’s soul entering the mirror normally wouldn’t remain inside for this long.

One elder slowly stroked his beard. "If it were an ordinary disciple, we could have awakened him already. Maybe because his talent is high."

The elder beside him nodded.

"Indeed. If the disciple had no possibility of obtaining a good result, there would be little reason to waste so much time."

That sentence caused several elders to become silent.

They naturally understood the meaning behind it.

If Long Feng were an ordinary disciple, they would have no reason to wait indefinitely. But nobody wanted to interrupt a talent examination of a good seeding halfway through.

The Heavenly Judgment Mirror was not an ordinary treasure.

If a disciple’s consciousness was forcibly pulled out while the examination was still incomplete, nobody could guarantee whether it would have any effect.

Therefore, despite the unusual delay, they could only continue waiting.

An elder frowned. "Perhaps his talent is unusually difficult for the mirror to determine."

"That is possible."

"Maybe, after all this Judgement Mirror is too mysterious and we didn’t understand it much."

"Whatever the reason, it has already taken longer than expected."

Those three True Elders remained silent.

Their eyes stayed fixed on the Heavenly Judgment Mirror.

Although they didn’t show much emotion on their face, even their hearts were beginning to wonder what was happening inside.

Finally, one of them couldn’t wait any longer after some more time passed.

"Then—"

Before he could finish speaking, the Heavenly Judgment Mirror suddenly trembled. A faint sound echoed across the open ground.

Hum!

Everyone’s attention immediately turned toward it.

The surface of the mirror rippled and a faint figure slowly appeared within it.

The surrounding disciples immediately became quiet.

"There!"

Someone exclaimed, looking closely their star figure’s result excitedly.

The figure inside the mirror gradually became clearer.

Unlike the earlier vague images produced during the examination, this figure was surprisingly distinct.

It slowly took on the appearance of a human. At first, the surface of the mirror was covered by a faint white light.

Then the color gradually changed. White became blue, blue became purple, then slowly deepened.

A low murmur immediately spread through the crowd.

"His talent reached Purple Grade?"

"That’s already extremely high, isn’t it?"

"I don’t know what the exact standard is, but it must be far above the ordinary results."

The disciples stared at the mirror in surprise. yet the elders remained unusually calm. Their attention was completely focused on the color.

Because they knew the purple light was not the end. The purple light continued to intensify.

Then, it changed. Golden light suddenly burst from the surface of the Heavenly Judgment Mirror. The entire mirror seemed to be illuminated by brilliant golden radiance.
